Made some great memories here, very family friendly, loved the room and grounds. We had a great view.

Fairway- my favorite place to unwind in Austin, TX. If you eat at Crenshaw, go see Myra she was awesome!

They treat you better than downtown ATX hotels in a serene environment. There's a level of pride amongst all levels of interaction. Their spa is killer in the best way.

My company has hosted its annual company kickoff event at the Omni Barton Creek Resort since 2023, and I don't see that changing! We've become accustomed to the hospitality the event staff has to offer and if you don't know, the Omni Barton Creek Resort is the only hotel in Austin that can accommodate a large headcount. If you're wondering, they have 493 rooms! Every early February, you'll find our team sprawled out across the resort. If you're looking for a nightcap, don't bother coming to Jim Bob's-- we'll be there every night until closing time! The venue is massive and I'm always amazed to find new areas I haven't seen before. If you're at the Omni Barton Creek for a conference, I highly suggest requesting a room on the conference center side-- you'll save more time. If you have an opportunity to be assigned to a room with a view, the views are stunning. I'm not into golf, but I do appreciate nature and the Omni Barton Creek Resort showcases this beautifully. The hotel itself is clean and beautifully designed. It blends modern, country, and classy elements with its parquet floors and crisp white wall fixtures. Unfortunately, if you're here for more than three days, the food gets repetitive... especially the banquet / buffet menu. For those with dietary restrictions, I find it disappointing there aren't any à la carte options for guests. Salads are meals, but when you're suggesting salads for every meal, it's a bit thoughtless. Also, the pricing on boxed sandwiches is insane ($25/box).

I'm not much of a golfer so the fact that the place is partially (maybe mostly?) a golf resort was sort of lost on me, but I will admit the views of the rolling greens from sweet 6th floor room were damn fine. Other than that, it's a fairly well-appointed resort and conference center set upon a good chunk of acreage in a private setting. It's pretty big -- several main buildings, a couple of outbuildings and event spaces, meeting rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, a separate fully equipped gym, a spa and ....golf carts everywhere. There are a couple of restaurants too, and of the two we tried Crenshaw's was my pick, with its casual vibe, chatty bartenders and decent but not huge menu, along with a good tap list and wine selection. A relaxed setting with a couple of tables outside overlooking the golf course is my idea of a good evening spot. The other spot, Bobs Steak and Chop House, was a bit more swank, with a lounge atmosphere of dark wood and leather, but honestly? A bit claustrophobic -- I didn't see one window in the joint. That said, the service is all pro, with unbelievably polished and attentive staff for each course, and the food, simply outstanding --- in presentation and flavor, down to every plate. Calamari appetizers, grilled salmon, German chocolate cake = all were to die for. Fine dining in a clubby ambience. I was on a business trip so I didn't pay for that meal but if you have expense account, go for it. It's a lovely spot, but don't get the idea you're all that close to Austin proper - you're not.

Review of Mokara Spa I've been to this spa many times over the years. Parking: valet or free garage parking Where? Facing the lobby front desk go left What's in it? Private pool, small menu, drinks (alcoholic and non), cabanas and loungers, hot tub, shower, steam room (out of service Oct 2024). Service: I've had on and off service here but my last experience with Chris on Oct 6 was really wonderful. He was attentive, professional, and kind. The best service I've had here to date. They have full services here, massages etc Pool view is beautiful of rolling hills, the food is surprisingly good and fresh, and the pool has chairs in the sun and in the shade. They also have an area to relax where it's quiet only, with a view, and lounge chairs too.

The endless 3rd pool was ice cold in winter but looked beautiful

Great was to spend a winters day getting the $25 day-pass to soak up rays and swim and relax. The building unfortunately covered the pools in shade by 3:45pm so it was a short tanning day. But a great Omni afternoon.

We loved our stay at Omni Barton Creek this summer! We were in Austin for a wedding and chose to venture out of the city limits for our stay. Here's what stood out to me: Clean, classy room Convenience - onsite restaurants (wait staff are amazing everywhere!) Beautiful vistas of Texas hill country Great golf Nice adult-only pool with breathtaking views (highly recommend ordering the fresh fruit platter - so beautiful and refreshing!) You're paying for an upscale experience at the Omni Barton Creek and I highly recommend. It is definitely a must-see destination if you're near Austin.

Beautiful setting and rather easy to get to. Facility and staff are great, but you are paying for it. Conference space and food was very good along with the coffee. Wi-Fi is terrible- very spotty. Greatly appreciated the staff going out of their way to recover a phone charger left in the room. Had a great burger lunch in the golfing bar.

Beautiful hotel, location, awesome amenities! The views are gorgeous, the rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is super friendly. The restaurants on-site are delicious and the portions are huge (even the kids meals). I love that this is a kid-friendly resort as our toddler is having a blast, as are we! There's an astroturf area she likes to crawl on and stuff for bigger kids (bounce houses, putt-putt). The pool area is super nice too- a lot of seating options with and without umbrellas as well as a poolside bar and food. The splash pad is tiny but perfect for toddlers and younger. The adults only pool is so serene and beautiful. The gym is pretty large and made me happy with all of the equipment. There's a women's only exercise area, an indoor track, indoor pool (all ages), locker rooms and group classes. There is even a water bottle fill station that lets you pick still or sparkling water (extra fancy!). The thing I don't like is the provided shampoo, etc. as they do not lather worth anything so I don't ever feel clean after a shower. The resort is clean, open and has quite a few delicious restaurants to choose from. A few are on the higher end while others aren't as expensive as you'd expect and the portions are huge! We are loving this staycation even though no one in our party is a golfer. I can definitely see us making this a yearly vacation spot. *Bonus, Vista Brewing makes a Barton Creek Golden just for this hotel

Amazing espresso martini on a cloudy day
    Heather L.

Breathtaking views of valley abound. One of my favorite things to do is drop by the bar prior to dinner & sit on the balcony. With martini in hand, I love to watch the golfers at one of the courses trickiest holes - seriously entertaining. The espresso martini is one of the best I've had. The outdoor pool area is also lovely overlooking a bucolic scene of the valley. The day we went to the pool, I embarrassingly bobbled my drink as I was getting into the pool. The waiter was amazing and brought me another drink on the house - and to be clear, it was my clumsiness that was the issue. We went to the pool on an overcast afternoon and as dusk approached, some No See Ums unpleasantly came out to interrupt the time. The person I was with said, he'd never encountered them before so I think it was a combination of the time (near dusk). The event area & fire-pits are beautiful as well. Beautiful facility though not inexpensive.

Ask the Community - Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa

    Is this resort kid friendly?

There are children everywhere so it's my opinion that they are kid friendly. The spa, maybe not the best place for kids though.

Has anyone brought their dogs and had problems? The website says if the animal causes any problems it will be moved to another side of the resort. What does that mean?

We are planning to stay here this weekend w/the family. We booked a room with a balcony. Can someone tell me if these rooms are renovated? How's the building w/the balconies.

Good Morning Kathleen, All of our existing rooms were renovated. The building featuring balconies is beautiful and the rooms are spacious.

Stayed at the 3 BR/8 guest house on Aug. 10-13th. I had an issue on the initial booking identity…read moreverification where there was an error on the verification questions. This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. They did allow us to bring an individual cup or water bottle. They will search your bags for food/alchohol/etc. if you bring large bags. LOCATION: Be prepared to drive 40 minutes to anywhere. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night).

My cousin and his family have a membership here and they invited us to come out for the day. When you are driving out there it feels like it is kind of in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden this paradise appears. We spent time at the marina. This was the nicest marina I have seen in the Austin area for sure! I could tell everything is taken care of with the utmost care possible. The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river! The Reserve property is actually pretty huge! They also have cabins you can rent out, tennis courts and a park area. There is lots of places to hike around as well. This would be the perfect family get away spot and it is not too far from other cool outdoor things like Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Park and of course Lake Travis!

I received a flyer in the mail about day passes available in July and August, and I'm so glad I…read moredid! My entire day at the resort was wonderful. I attended four classes, and in hindsight, I wish I had chosen more mind classes instead of physical ones, but now I know for next time. My first class was with Theresa, who is truly a gem at the resort. If you have the chance to take a class with her, do it! I attended her Earth Wisdom class, and I loved it. The next time I visit, I will make sure to take every class she teaches. It was a powerful experience. After that, I tried a new-to-me spa treatment called Shamana-Karma, which felt magical. I wish I could remember my therapist's name because she did an amazing job. For lunch, I ordered a burger and helped myself to the salad bar. Unfortunately, the burger was the biggest disappointment of the day--it was overcooked and more like a hockey puck. Trust me, I wasn't hungry, as the buffet offered more than enough food. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly. In the afternoon, I joined a series of yoga classes, starting with Stretch and Relax, followed by Happy Hips, and finally, Shoulders Set Free. That was quite a bit of yoga for such a short period, and by the halfway point of the Happy Hips class, I was feeling done. All three classes were taught by Amy, and between the Stretch and Happy Hips, there was a lot of repetition in the movements. Next time, I'll avoid scheduling so many yoga classes in a row. The highlight of my day, especially on such a hot Texas day, was the quiet room in the spa. Anytime I felt myself starting to melt, I would retreat there. It was so relaxing and cool! I've even started to recreate a quiet room in my home, complete with no devices, cooler temperatures, and a weighted blanket. I could have spent the entire day just in that room. I visited on the hottest day this year in Texas, with a heat index well over 100 degrees. Because of this, moving from one point to another can really heat you up. Having had heat stroke in the past makes me even more sensitive to the heat, so keep this in mind if you're planning a visit during the summer. I did have a bit of a downside experience with the pools, as both are in full sun for most of the day. The deck at the spa pool was too hot to walk on, and the gate at the other pool burned my hands. The Texas sun is no joke! By the end of the day, I was thankful that the building finally provided some shade at the spa pool, allowing me to enjoy a bit of time there. Despite the overcooked burger and the heat--which is beyond their control--it was a wonderful day. I've already shared my experience with three friends and can't wait to plan another visit. I have an extremely stressful job and home life, and this experience helped me greatly, even if only for a few hours. Thank you to everyone who works there for allowing locals to come and experience such a relaxing day!

You'll see donkeys, chickens, goats, and horses at the farm! - I also love the stories from the people activity at Solidago - indigenous storytelling combined with musical instruments. Services: - Really love the shuttle between the hotel and airport - Feel free to utilize the laundry services included with your stay (recommend that you let reception know so housekeeping can take your laundry bag from your room) - Everyone is super friendly, from staff at the restaurant to instructors for the activities Tips: - Weekdays are generally less busier than the weekends - July and August are usually slower months and perhaps you can find better deals - If you are not fully committed to staying here overnight, get a day pass! Definitely check the activities calendar online before you come! - For some of the popular activities with very limited space (for example, rhythmic riding), definitely book ahead of time. You can cancel any activities four hour prior to start. - It's a no tip resort so you don't have to worry about that!

The resort is now owned by a REIT (real estate investment trust), which typically focuses on maximizing profits by cutting costs--and unfortunately, the effects are noticeable. What We Enjoyed: - The staff and instructors were wonderful, and the classes remain a highlight of the stay. Where It Fell Short: - The renovations have stripped much of the resort's former charm. The spaces now feel commercial and impersonal. - The dining room, once cozy, now resembles a nursing home cafeteria. - Beautiful, home-like furniture has been replaced with generic Westin-style pieces. - Harsh LED sconces and bright LED bulbs in the room diminished the tranquil atmosphere. We often had to keep the lights off to avoid being blinded. - Meals were acceptable in taste but frequently served lukewarm rather than hot, which was especially disappointing for soups. Overall, while the people and programming remain excellent, the atmosphere and attention to detail have been compromised under the new management. This resort used to feel like a home away from home, but now it feels like a commercial property prioritizing margins over guest experience and sub par value based on pricing.

Having never been to Mexico before it was wonderful to have Jonathan and Kristalle of CMV help us with this vacation. They helped us choose the perfect villa for our family and gave us tons of info before we left for Mexico. When we got there Kristalle was fantastic - always available to call / text if we needed anything. She even made us welcome margaritas that were ready and chilling in the fridge when we arrived - a very nice bonus after travelling with a 9 month old baby! We had a few minor issues with the property's management company but as soon as I let Kristalle know about it she made sure it was all smoothed over and we were left in peace to enjoy our holiday. She is very knowledgable of the area and is happy to organise any activities you may want to partake in. They honestly made our stay so much easier and more relaxing - I'd just send a text saying we'd like to paddle board and bam! They were delivered to our door the next day. I would highly recommend using CMV and would definitely use them again.
