I stayed here for 9 days for company training and I thought the hotel was nestled in a gorgeous location. The rooms were clean and updated! There's a bar downstairs and upstairs with the upstairs restaurant. They have breakfast but it's not included. Otherwise there's restaurants nearby too if you don't feel like driving to get food. The only negative I have is that the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. Overall loved my stay here! read more

Overall : it's 8/10 stars. The staff: 6/10. I wish the staff was more helpful and friendly. The environment: 8/10. It was nice , clean , renovated hotel good for a family or even young couples. Workout facility: 7/10. It was a little small but was clean and well maintained. Patio/pool area : 7/10. It was also a little small too but still clean and organized. Room: 7.5/10; I enjoyed the room because it had no carpet and just hardwood floors. A big plus in my opinion. The shower light is turned off by motion lights so could be a liability if your in the shower to long . Overall the bathroom is modern and nicely done. Lobby : 8/10. Excellent hotel with outstanding staff all around. Our room was lovely and we used the gym a few times during our stay and everything was new and in pristine condition. We would, however, like to give a very special nod to Sue the hostess of the delicious breakfast served every day. She made us feel like we were her only guests and she couldn't have been more kind and professional. She actually made our trip even better by her incredible hospitality. We were in town for a volleyball tournament last weekend and stayed here for the night. Sure glad I chose AC over the other properties in the area because this hotel is beautiful, very modern. Parking is free and plentiful. Love how quiet the location is. There is a movie house in the same area and a couple of restaurants. Unfortunately our schedule was so busy, we didn't have time to explore the hotel which was a bummer because the hotel's pool looked inviting and the rooftop bar was very intriguing. Our room(316) was spotless, had a beautiful view of the pool and the hill country. It had a mini fridge and coffee maker. No microwave. The beds were so comfortable, I slept the whole night which is a rarity when traveling. Breakfast was European style with cooked to order items. AYCE for $19.99 and $12(kids 12 & below). It was pretty good and filling. They had an espresso machine which excited me quite a bit BUT they only served decaf....ugh. Although breakfast is not included, if you can score their members advance purchase rate, I suggest you get it. If we're ever in the area, we will definitely stay here again. read more

The AC Hotel Austin Hill Country is a lovely place to stay. This place is located a short drive from the heart of Austin. We arrived here on a Wednesday around 5:30pm. Parking here is self parking and is free!! We got a king suite room which was nice and roomy. This included a room with a sofa and 2 chairs and a coffee table. There was a small refrigerator with a coffee bar area in the entrance area. This hotel is very modern and Euro feel, which is cool. No carpet in the room except for an area rug in the living area. Large bathroom with a roomy shower with hand held and a water fall head, ask for shower caps as my room did not have them, Nice large TV in each room that had Netflix!!! This hotel has 2 bars, 1 in the lobby & 1 on the 5th floor so it's like a roof top bar, good vibe for a night cap drink. This hotel is new so everything is nice, fresh and clean. I will be back next time in Austin read more

I'll start with saying I really wanted to like this place!! It's so nice & new what could be the problem?? Checking in was seamless and we're we're heading to our room on the 5th floor. Beautiful view of the country side. Kinda small room tho and we we're stay 4 days! Bed was comfy. Shower was cool with a rain feature as well as a hand held shower head. Unfortunately the water pressure was very weak Even the hand held shower was weak. I had to rinse my hair out in the sink after my shower. I think this is my first 3 star review. It's mainly for the Wifi & this being My first trip to Austin Texas we Needed reliable internet. We decided to stay about 20 minutes out from the city great location 10 minutes from the H-E-B and 20 minutes from Downtown Austin. It became increasingly frustrating trying to navigate out vacation plans when the Hotel Wifi keep kicking me off . I was unable to order an Uber from my room due to the wifi issue. The only way to access any type of internet was to sit at the rooftop lounge. I asked an associate that worked at the Violet Room rooftop lounge and was told "yeah there's probably too many people using the wifi, just use Your data." Not the answer I was expecting. This Hotel was not cheap ( for me anyway) the least amenities I expected was wifi & maybe a continental breakfast. Nope breakfast was meat slices and cheese. Bread slices by a toaster. A brown of bananas & apples and some dry cereal in canisters. That was $20 per person. Maybe I was out of my element, the hotel was fully booked and it appeared to be a group of "tech business people " very business casual. I on the other hand was trying to get away with my husband for a couple days and couldn't even check in to my flight home because..... No wifi. Still a nice hotel. But that really killed the trip for me. read more

I can't say enough good things about the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country!! We arrived on Thanksgiving Day and were greeted with a friendly face right away! He was more than accommodating, despite working on a holiday! Seeing as we were away from our own family, it was nice to feel welcome! The lobby and outdoor patio are BEAUTIFUL and there's plenty of space to enjoy. We walked to the movie theater next door and after came back to enjoy the warm fire. The elevators, halls, and room were spotless and smelled really nice. Any of the staff we saw spoke and/or offered to help. The room itself was gorgeous. Plenty of storage and room for luggage. One of my favorite features was the lighting. There is under lighting through most of the room. The bathroom mirror is very bright! There's also a master switch on each side of the bed. Self parking is also a huge plus, in our opinion. We love that it's a little out of the chaos of the city, but only took us 12 minutes to get there! read more

Room is good size and has a bright and modern feel. Pool is a but small but a good bonus for a hot day. I like as this hotel is close to my office nearby. Some food selection nearby and the most reasonably priced is the Le Popular for its happy hour until closing but only on Tuesday. Carve is also good but a bit expensive. read more

Awesome experience from check in to check out. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast every morning with Suz. Suz gave 5 star service and made every day start off right. The bartender Taj is a genius mixologist, he made some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Taj is a master of his craft. The room was fresh and clean upon arrival and the bed was super comfortable. Eesh. They closed down the kitchen when families were here during an ice storm. So we spent hours finding dinner in the ice cold, and finally found an open Whataburger and waited in line for an hour. The next day, went down for breakfast (very limited toast (one slice of toast with egg) had a hair in it which I noticed after I bit into it. Thin toilet paper. Poor tv channels. But overall did the job to keep us warm. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were here for 4 nights and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is new and clean. On the last night the people above us were making loud noises until 11:30 pm and it was hard to sleep. The staff could not get them to stop so they moved our rooms for us. We didn't have to move our things. We just slept in another room and then went back to our room the next morning. Usually hotels just apologize and you have to deal with the noise all night. I would not stay here....the manager Mrs Charlotte Tyer has no business in a management role.. We stayed here for my wife's burthday.birthday.. Staying here as the Google page under info says, and still does.. free breakfast and laundry on site. When we found out that the free breakfast was actually $19 each, and no laundry I wanted to let management know so others did not feel as if they were being cheated from what was advertised.. Charlotte Tyer was combative when I sent email, even telling me I was wrong... poor management skills to none shown with my email interaction with here, to the point when I told her I would write about my experience on social media sites like this, she said have fun wasting your time.. I wanted nothing from my telling them of error on website Google page, just wanted others not to be duped in staying at a place for these reasons. This is a hidden gem. We stayed for just one night but they made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, it was sleek, modern and very comfy. The bathroom was top notch with a rainfall shower head, glass enclosure, and premium Korres toiletries. The staff went out of their way to assist us, especially Chris the operations manager. Christian and Taj were very helpful, we love the outdoor restaurant (when it's not 15 degrees outside), the breakfast team "owns" the quality of your experience there and the food is great (plus there is a grab and go option) and the rooms are spacious and cool (when you want them cool). read more

I cannot say enough good things about the kindness of staff during our stay here. We were refugees from the ice storm, cold and weary from being without power for 44 hours, and the staff was so accommodating and helpful upon check-in, our hearts were set at ease after being so stressed. They were clearly overwhelmed with people trying to get rooms in the storm but they did a great job of not passing their stress onto us. They were professional, kind, and generous. We panic-reserved a third night when we thought austin energy wasn't going to get power back until the weekend, but our power came on during our first night's stay. Even though the third night's booking was technically non-refundable, the staff was kind enough to let us cancel without penalty because of the circumstances. In addition to the amazing staff, the hotel is beautiful, modern, clean, has a great bar area, lovely breakfast, and we had a beautiful view of the hill country. We have fond memories of this hotel and will remember it for when we want to take our next staycation here in Austin. read more

Stayed here during sxsw to be closer to the city for the weekend. We reserved a king sized room and when we arrived they informed us that they actually sold out and so they would only be able to give us a room with 2 queens and as a courtesy to us they would only charge us for the two queen room rate instead of the king because it cost less... They told us that the next day we could follow up to see if there was a king available which felt like a hassle because while we were busy and doing stuff we had to go out of our way to call the hotel every few hours for an update and check in. Finally Saturday night at around 5 pm they had a king sized room available, it was just a bummer that we had to rearrange plans to be back at the hotel and follow up constantly. In my opinion it was a mistake that should have not happened in the first place and really put a damper on our experience. Chris who I believe was one of the managers did try his best to help us and was very nice so we did really appreciate that. All in all it would have been a good experience if we had received the proper room and if we did not have to rearrange our plans. read more
