A great stay that's off the busy path in Austin! We liked how the hotel is away from the roads and requires a little driving path to get up to. It's a small check-in area and quiet atmosphere, great for a getaway. Nothing over the top or outstanding and also no problems, right in the middle for a peaceful hotel stay. Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was always friendly. On our first night there was a loud wedding reception late into the night but we weren't too bothered by it. They receive a lot of parties and weddings here I believe. Clean, friendly, and nice hotel!

Complimentary bottle of wine in my room. Thank you very much!

I was gifted a voucher (lucky me) which included the resort fee AND a fifty dollar credit! There is valet parking for a fee but also free parking in the parking garage next door. The lobby is tiny. There is a check in desk attached to a gift shop/ place to get snacks. The main lobby has two chairs and a couch where I sat with a glass of wine and did some amazing people watching. There was a function happening and everyone was in costumes. It was fun to watch! The bar isn't huge but it's comfortable. There are about 10 or so barstools and 5-6 tables that are both regular tables and tables with little couches. I didn't feel like sitting at the bar alone so I sat in the lobby. There is a restaurant (Laurel) attached to the bar. I didn't eat there but I did order a pizza later on in the evening. The pizza was good but I wish it had been warmer. Upon arrival there was a complimentary bottle of wine in my room. I don't know if that is every room/booking or not. The pool, spa, and gym are all on the second floor. I didn't use the gym but it looked decent. It even had two peloton bikes! The pool is lovely. There are cabanas to rent and many lounge chairs with comfy cushions and umbrellas. There is a bar (not swim up) and tables under a covered area. I went for a late night swim and the temp of the water was perfect. The pool is open until 10. There are towels available poolside. The shower was great. There are plenty of towels but beware the tiles in the bathroom get a bit slick when wet. There is a nice little coffee area when you first walk in the room. There was a small desk, chair and a large dresser with TV on top of that. The bed was very comfortable. I'm a teacher and booked this on a Friday. Needless to say, I was asleep by around 1030 and slept about 11 hours. The curtains got the room super dark! I did wake up around my normal body clock time but why get out of bed when it's so great! The only part I was missing was a place to walk outside. It's located on a hill next to the Apple building. There aren't any real places to take a stroll if you wanted to stretch your legs. Overall, I would stay here again. The people were friendly and the accommodations were very nice. Can I afford coming here on a regular basis on a teacher's salary? Probably not but I did enjoy it while I was there!

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff! Price is reasonable for a full service hotel (valet, spa pool, room service bar restaurant, etc. ). Great amenities for various promotions & golden loyalty- included but not limited to- room upgrades, a welcome bottle of wine, free valet, discounts on food, drink and spa. I treated myself to a staycation with my daughter and we had a great time at the pool and the food at Laurel was delicious.

I interacted with probably about four people at the front desk during my stay. They were all very helpful, very polite and very patient. One that stood out to me, was Chris. He took care to ensure that all of our questions were answered and that we felt welcomed as guests. When I was initially booking my hotel, I was on the fence between this hotel and another hotel in downtown Austin. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel I instantly felt good about my decision to book here. if you are on the fence about this hotel, please be assured that you will not be disappointed. The location, the views, the service, and proximity to the city make this a no-brainer.

I absolutely enjoyed my two week stay at Hotel Granduca. I was welcomed with a bottle of red wine in my room, who can complain about that? Everything was beautiful and clean. The housekeeping team made sure my room was neat and reset everyday. Fresh towels and glassware were always available. I visited the bar and the restaurant during my stay and both were lovely. Their specialty drink menu is limited but the drinks are great. I had a martini with pickle juice, olives, lime juice and mezcal that blew my mind. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone I interacted with was great! Big shout out to the valet guys who went out of their way to help me with my luggage. If I ever visit Austin again I'll make sure to stay here again.

We also dined at Nido, the hotel's restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast, and it was definitely a highlight. Located on the topmost floor, Nido offers stunning views of the river and downtown Austin. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the ambiance is elegant and ideal for a special evening. During our visit, we saw a couple of groups celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries, which shows how perfect this place is for special occasions. The pricing is on the higher side, but it matches the upscale experience and beautiful setting. For dinner, we ordered the Burrata as an appetizer and the Autumn Garden for the main course, along with an American IPA and a Jack Frost cocktail. Everything was delicious, but the Burrata truly stood out as my favorite. Breakfast was equally enjoyable--we had custom-made omelettes with veggies and avocado toast, both fresh and flavorful. Overall, The Loren Hotel, along with Nido, offers a great blend of comfort, excellent food, and a beautiful atmosphere. A perfect choice if you're looking to celebrate something special or simply treat yourself to a high-end experience.

The Friday night gathering was amazing. It was a perfect setting on the eight floor to talk, mingle, and meet new people. The evening was warm enough to go outside on the balcony/deck and have conversations and enjoy a breeze. The room itself is large with a water station and a bar. A few short tables were set up for sitting and a few tall ones for standing. They had a nice selection of drinks from beer and wine to mixed drinks. The food included lobster rolls, sliders (chicken and beef), a tray of different veggies and dips, little balls of cheese and something, and aroncini? My favorite was canapés of Mellon and prosciutto. The saltiness of the prosciutto added to the flavor of the melon. This event was 5***** I blame the architect for the room setup. Why would you put bedrooms on the side of a hotel next to traffic. The noise, honking and sirens. It finally quieted down around 11:30. Saturday was also an issue. They do provide ear plugs and sound machines, neither works for me. I was also surprised there was no lotion in the room. There was no microwave. Everything else in the room was top notch. Robes, slippers, a safe, a bar, and fridge. Overall, the noise is what created the 3*** rating. That was very disappointing.

While I mostly kept to the hotel, when I did venture out, I found that there were lots of great dining options within walking distance. My only nitpick is that the Wi-Fi was unreliable, which I've seen mentioned in a few other reviews. My first night, there was an outage throughout the entire hotel. If this stay were not reimbursed, I would have removed a star considering rooms average $500 a night and reliable internet access is expected. However, I was given 2,500 bonus points after calling the front desk when I first noticed I didn't have service. Completely unexpected but very much appreciated and yet another testament to the great service here.

Two queen beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Our first night's stay was decent. I noticed the shower gel holder was falling out of the wall. A precarious situation of having to carefully pull the mechanism to dispense without pulling too hard. I did notify the night staff but the next day, it didn't seem like anyone came to fix it. No extra body wash or soap was provided even when I asked for some. The wall with the en-suite appliances was not usable. The plugs weren't working so we couldn't toast anything, use the kettle, or the coffee machine. The fridge and microwave were working ok though. The rod for one of the curtains fell off while opening them. Because it's floor to ceiling we just left it alone. The common spaces are well decorated, from the Library, Executive board room, kids corner, gym/yoga studio, and outdoor lounge space. Although the snack/tea/coffee spot with Keurig isn't filled often. We had to ask for the night staff to refill the water for tea. On our second to last day, I found the hot water and still water station downstairs at Simona's. Pros: Clean, comfy, affordable stay. Enjoyed the bottomless coffee and their signature breakfast at Tiffany's latte. Also appreciated them letting us do late checkout and upgrade our room. Cons: Complimentary water station, Keurig / snack station, maintenance of amenities could be better handled. Warning: If booking from 3rd party (BILT, Capital One Portal...) added parking is not the same price that's on Colton's House's website. It's actually $40/day (with in/out priceless). However if booking directly through Colton House, parking is 50% off for $20. Would we stay here again in the future? Most likely not. For an SLH property, we may look for another well-maintained option in the future.
