I had high hopes but had to leave early and left disappointed. My wife and I had a staycation for two nights. Everything was fine until bedtime. The AC was set to 67 but the room didn't feel like it. That wasn't the worst part. The worst part was my wife getting hit by some sort of bed bug in her leg and a bunch of bumps. We noticed the morning after and didn't make much of it. A few hours later it got worse and just decided to end our trip short. The staff was friendly, the pool was fine. My only complaint was the room. We were offered a suite for our troubles and we declined. We weren't looking for free stuff. Just a refund of what we paid. read more

We had a suite top floor The grounds are lovely Now service less than par. Front desk told us restaurant would open at 7:30 am for breakfast we waited 45 minutes (shame on us). Oh I forgot, we called front desk earlier and we were told there is complementary coffee there is NOT! So moving on to 7:30am. We find out the restaurant is CLOSED on Friday morning Really? My stay at this hotel was exceptional. While the establishment is an older property, the cleanliness and customer service was excellent. From Samantha at the front desk to Hala in the restaurant for breakfast the next morning. I did not feel as though I was in Dallas on a staycation but as if I was on a resort. Really surprised at this Omni hotel. If Omni wants their name on this, they should make some cosmetic improvements. My husband and I stayed here as we were supposed to have an event in the area; while it was canceled, we could not cancel our room due to a discounted rate. So we decided to make it a staycation/date night The pro of the hotel is the location - it's within walking distance of some good restaurants and entertainment. And that's about it. The room is in need of an upgrade - the fixtures and furniture is quite dated. Very gold and 80s. Our sheets were dingy white. We were on the 22nd floor and hallway carpet on both sides was rippling. If we came back to do something in this area, we'll try the Marriott or Westin. If this was a 20 year old La Quinta hotel, I'd expect the look of the room. But s $200 Omni? No. read more

We checked out today and I will never return. This hotel is old and service is poor. We had a suite on the 4th floor and the room had a large spider. We called down twice to the front desk. If it was a small spider I would have killed it, but it was a large wolf spider. They killed it and left a mess on the floor. I called back because I was ready for bed and I pulled back the white sheets and there are marks (gray) on the sheets, a long brunette hair strand, and dirty comforter. I called back for sheets and towels, thinking they would remake the bed. No, they brought us new sheets and expected us to make up the bed. The bathroom was outdated and our toilet tissue had a pink stain on it. It was disgusting. It was our anniversary weekend and I didn't want my husband to be upset with his plans. I visited the Omni Mandalay for a major event on January 12th. I valeted my Acura TLX early morning with the belief that it would be exceptional service. After the event, they were so disorganized that it took over an hour to receive my vehicle making me late for another engagement. Not only did valet damage the bumper on the drivers side, they've done very little to rectify the situation. They referred my claim to Janet Lanza from Choose Broadspire who never followed up after an initial conversation. I've requested camera footage and they've claimed that "they cannot disclose" that information. Hating to see my vehicle damaged it has now been a cost that I've incurred at the expense of an establishment's negligence. This is just ridiculous. read more

Went down for breakfast and they told me restaurant was closed due to occupancy. Place was 99% occupied including housing the Mexican National team. Really said I stayed at a 4-star hotel and couldn't even have a sit down meal for breakfast. They basically told me to grab a pre-made sandwich and yogurt and hit the road. Next time all just sleep in my car and call it a night. Spend the 400.00 on a few chiro visits. Front desk staff and Carlos at the bar were very nice. read more

Omni LC is our favorite "get away". We've been coming here for probably close to 15 years, from Tyler. They did a total reconstruction of the pool area 2019-2020 and re-opened late 2020. We used to love to grab a Cabana and spend the day at the pool. Since the remodel the Cabanas are nicer but you have to rent them. The cost is so expensive they go virtually unused. I really wish they'd reconsider how they let people use the cabanas. It's a shame everything is so profit driven. read more

They are very thoughtful and friendly while being professional and accommodating. I needed a few items replenished in my room and they were very quick and helpful. Someone from the staff followed up after every request to ensure it was done-remarkable really. They are adequately staffed which seems difficult now- a-days. They even had a follow up by text (you may opt out if you want) to check that all was well or if you needed anything. I tried it out to replenish a couple hand towels and it worked outstandingly. read more

Affordable rooms, free parking, and not far from downtown. Omni Mandalay Hotel was a good option for us. The rates were reasonable, parking was free, and it wasn't very far from sights we wanted to see. It is also very close to the Toyota Music Factory. The room was clean, but dated. Fixtures in the bathroom were old but again very clean. The AC/Heater worked fine. We had a great view of the lake behind the hotel from the 26th floor. The TV in the room was new. Pros: Price, free parking, cleanliness, friendly staff, close to downtown. Cons: Older feel to the hotel, not a modern vibe. Limited selections for restaurants within the hotel itself. My wife and I decided to stay here since it was close to the Toyota Music Pavilion where we were seeing a concert on Saturday night. The location is great. The surrounding area is pretty sleepy on the weekends but the region seems to be growing so I am sure there will eventually be more options for food and supplies near the hotel. That's probably the biggest drawback. It's isolated and there aren't too many places to walk to yet. The hotel itself was nice. It wasn't a typical Omni in that it had more of a garden setting feel and was more classic than modern. The people were quite nice at check-in and it was an easy process. The room was average in size and the beds were comfortable. It was quite clean, had a great view of the lake and had all the things we needed. They also have a nice restaurant in Trevi's. The paths for walking around the hotel were nice and had a peaceful feel to them. If you are in town for business or are seeing a concert, I would recommend this hotel. read more

Came here for a couple days just to get away from home. Omni Mandalay is located I Las Colinas in what seems to be a developing and trendy area. I was impressed with the location, there are water views from your room on some sides of the hotel. The overall grounds and lobby were nicer than some hotels I've been to for close to the same price. Check in was quick and the wait staff was pleasant. My wife and I had a King deluxe suite In which we were very impressed with. It felt more like an apartment and we loved the oval layout. The furniture was elegant and not just functional. My only complaint was that some of my lamps were unplugged and the shower was dirty and had some rust. There are a vast amount of restaurants and shopping In the area and Dallas is only about ten minutes away. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I came to Omni Las Colinas Hotel for a Volunteer Summit for the American Cancer Society. Little did I know that a day into my trip we would be hit with ice storms. The staff here at Las Colinas handled the weather issues with professionalism and kindness. Special thanks to Krystle. She is amazing. I came to her in a panic, desperately wanting to get home to San Jose, CA. She listened to me, and helped to provide me with options to make this temporary delay comfortable. Everything is bigger in Texas, and the rooms here are what you'd expect for that. The queen bed barely took up any space, so they filled some of it with large chairs and an overstuffed ottoman. Floor to ceiling windows, mine overlooking the lake and canal. The space is old, but well-maintained. Plenty of 80s touches with marble, skylights, and phones by the toilet, and plenty of Asian touches (rugs, lamps, tables), especially in the communal spaces. Staff is friendly, toiletries are fancy (and include a mending kit), minibar is stocked with some local favorites. We didn't have a price list for our treats, but when requested, they printed and slipped under our doors. The Red Delicious apples stocked at the concierge were actually tasty - not mealy like most. They provided a shuttle to get us to our facility that was within a mile for a tip for the driver. Fitness center is modern and has a great view of the lake. There is easy access to the paths along the canals and lake, interrupted only by the pool. read more

We recently stayed here for a single night for a wedding. The wedding rate was fantastic ($109) and maybe tainted our overall opinion. We thought the stay was a great value and we'd definitely stay there again. The entry is beautiful and had a large table covered in orchids. The lounge areas of the lobby area lovely, quiet, and serene. The front desk is very understated, tucked into a corner. If someone hadn't show us the desk, I would have never guessed it was the check in desk. The front door staff were efficient, friendly, and quick to help with directions. There is a garage with free parking. I love a hotel with free parking. It drives me nuts when I have to pay to park when I'm already paying for the room. There is also valet, but the garage is literally a few feet more and you can drive your own car (I'm not a fan of valet anywhere). The room was large and comfortable. The fixtures were old school and a bit strange. The bathroom sink reminded me of something I'd see in England. Everything worked well if a bit antiquated looking. The view was of the office buildings and we could see for miles and miles beyond that. It wasn't a bad view. The only thing I would change about the room was to have a quieter fridge. The refrigerator kept going on and off all night and it was quite noisy. It wasn't noisy enough to ask for another room, especially since we were only there for a single night. The wedding venue was within walking distance and that made everything so much easier! There were also some restaurants you could walk to, but we ended up at Le Peep about a mile away for breakfast. I originally booked the Omni Mandalay months in advance because it used to be a top notch hotel. I had to make a change to my reservation, at which point they increased my reservation from $1,200 for 3 nights to over $1,600 for 3 nights. They hotel employee did not disclose the rate change to me, nor did she send me the email I requested to document the changes. I happened to look at my reservation before the trip and was ultimately forced to cancel my original reservation and downgrade my room (only to pay an additional $100 for everything). I would have stayed somewhere else but we were traveling with friends and did not want to make them change as well. Additionally, the vents in our room were moldy and it is obvious the hotel has not been well maintained. There are places where wood trim is coming off the walls and toilet paper holder/towel racks are coming apart. For $400 a night, I would have expected the WiFi to be free, but it is not. Room service (which is always overpriced) was poor quality....plastic utensils and mediocre food. There are many more options at this price in the Dallas area that are a better use of your travel dollars! When I discussed the room rate and other issues with one of their managers, his only response was that "rates originally booked are not guaranteed once changes are made." In other words, they are okay with handling their business without transparency and in a manner that leaves the customer feeling completely taken advantage of and unappreciated for choosing to do business with their hotel. Don't make the mistake of staying at the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas! read more

This is an ok hotel outside Dallas. It will take you about 20-25 min to get to Dallas during the day. Unfortunately my experience started on the wrong foot when I had to push the luggage cart by myself as the staff was nowhere to be found. The staff is overall nice but the building itself is getting old. Beds are comfy and the bathroom clean. They do not offer water in the rooms, the water they have are part of the mini bar (6$ a liter). Breakfast is not too rich in options but the little they had on the buffet was pretty good. I don't think I'll return but it's an ok place if you must. read more

Good location if you are looking for a go between Irving & Dallas. Front desk staff was extremely friendly upon my arrival as I had endured a long travel delay with many delays. I was offered a glass of sparkling wine and as I walked away she told me to take another... This was a great touch as I was eager to relax. The rooms are dated but comfortable. I visited the bar each night and the tenders were great and super friendly. I must commend Delaney as she was extremely helpful and made each trip to her concierge desk a treat. I just enjoyed a great 3 day weekend at the Omni. Room 1411 was perfect! The view was amazing! Loved the room and the bed was very comfortable. It was cool to have a little walk out balcony. The bathroom was old and outdated but very clean. There are no USB ports in the room so I was glad I brought some charging cubes. I LOVED the pool area!! Koray at the pool bar was AWESOME!! Great drinks and conversation too! The whole experience from check in to checking out was great. We enjoyed the lobby bar and restaurant as much as anywhere else we walked to. The club sandwich, house salad, crispy chicken sandwich and Reuben were all fantastic!!! The pineapple drink at the pool was also really good and Koray made sure it wasn't too sweet. There is also a great little liquor store right next to the hotel. It was a quick walk to get some spirits for the room. Go see Nick at Nick's if you need some room beverages! read more

I was here for a week's worth of work training. The accommodations were nice and each staff member was very pleasant. I must send a shout out to Omar at the bar who kept our drinks flowing after our long days of meetings and endless learning. The layout seems a bit odd, the bar really was closed off from the rest of the hotel. The rooms were nice but didn't come with a microwave which to me is a must. I called down to the desk to get one and it never arrived. This is a business district in Los Calinos so very nice area. If I were in the area this would be an option for me but I can see room for improvement. read more

This hotel was probably top shelf at one point, but not so much any more. Rooms are big, but showing serious signs of age. The bathroom has a beige, old school push button telephone by the toilet, if this gives you any idea of the last time the hotel was renovated. View from the room is great, but unfortunately blurred by hand, nose and god knows what other kind of prints all over the windows. The chairs in the bar are thread bare, and the floor looks like it has been through several intense bar fights. The place was empty, but lunch still took 45 min to arrive. On the plus side, the bed is comfy and the room is quiet, which is all I really need from a hotel. read more

Stopped in for a quick in-and-out stay on the weekend (Saturday night) before heading home. Very nice and respectable, clean with friendly employees. Room was above average, but nothing spectacular. I stayed here fresh off of a two night stay at the Four Seasons just a few miles away and there were some obvious big differences in terms of customer service, ambience, and the room. Checked in late, got up early the next morning for a quick workout. Their fitness center was not overly impressive, but at least it had a bench with a decent selection of dumbbells and some medicine balls, plus some nautilus-type machines and some nice cardio equipment. Decent location. Worth a try if you're looking to spend a little more money and have a little bit better quality and ambience than the usual chain hotels. read more

A beautiful hotel with amazing views (at least from my room) and attentive service. Adam was lucky enough to get a great room booked here while he was working nearby, and I'm lucky enough to be dating him so that I can take advantage of perks like these! First of all, the parking is super easily accessible and simple. Drive into the lot and go left. Bam, you're in the parking garage. Pick a spot, any spot. If you're still confused then there's valet, of course. Next, you'll enter the lobby which is pretty darn nice if you ask me. There are huge, gorgeous bouquets of flowers (are these things real?!) and it just feels like a fancy space without coming across as snooty or like you have to whisper and wear a ball gown. Of course, the Omni Mandalay has a bit of an Asian-theme going on, so think lots of greenery and exotic looking plants, a gorgeous outdoor terrace, and unique artwork. You really won't feel like you're in Irving, especially because this hotel is right on the Mandalay Canal! There are plenty of cozy lounging spots to kick back and enjoy yourself both inside and outside, and a great bar with a pool table for extra entertainment. There's a restaurant called Trevi's (Italian steakhouse) that looks amazing, but unfortunately we did not get to eat there. You should, though! Eat there and then take a Gondola cruise. How fun is that?? Our chic room had a king sized bed which was ultra comfy, a great little mini bar, sparkling clean bathroom and shower, and one wall of huge, floor-to-ceiling windows. That's definitely the best part; the giant window overlooking the city and the water below. It's nice to go somewhere close but feel like you've been transported far away. read more

The music in their pool area was so loud that I couldn't enjoy my stay, and I couldn't walk around the canals because they blocked off the public sidewalks for a special event (isn't this illegal?). I watched a man hurt himself because he had to swing around the ends of the blockading gates over the water just to get to the other side of the sidewalk. Terrible experience. read more
