We hadn't used them and had a burger downstairs at Barry's, so we decided to take advantage of the opportunity. We were initially denied usage of the tickets The bartender said it "wasn't time yet", apparently confusing our tickets for an 8-10pm event. Eventually, he told us we could use them, but not for anything on the menu. The tickets had to be for a drink under $25. Ok, but the drinks on the menu we requested were $21 and $14 dollars. Just an unwanted hassle for what was supposed to be a courtesy for a previous error. Also, unfortunate that my old fashioned wasn't even made with a proper ice block nor any cherries.

Their selection, 180 degree panoramic views, and top notch food and drinks deserve their flowers. We ordered fries and sliders as sort of an appetizer before going out, and we all agreed that these were some of the best burgers we've had. The fries were a nice touch too, crispy on the outside and incredibly hot to the touch. The imperio and the almost hanky cocktails exceeded expectations. Almost hanky was very liquor forward, yet complex and balanced, while the imperio was much lighter and easier on the body. All in all, this is my second time visiting and I regret not staying longer. Every time I visit Vegas, I'll be sure to make time for this place.

The night we went happened to be a full night of concerts, and like usual in Vegas, the roads and self-parking were a mess, lots of delays. I tried calling ahead to let them know we'd be late for our 6:30pm reservation but couldn't get through to anyone. By the time we found parking and made it through the casino floor, it was around 7:15. We figured our reservation would be marked a no-show since we couldn't reach anyone, but the hostess at the front desk (before the elevator) was really friendly and understanding about the traffic and headliner concerts causing delays. She called up to the hostess inside The Vinyl Room and got us cleared to head up to the 63rd floor, a great start. Once we got upstairs, though, the hostess up there immediately questioned us about being 45 minutes late. We explained the traffic situation and that the hostess downstairs had confirmed we were good to go, but she kept bringing up our "tardiness," even after other reservations arrived and she asked us to step aside while she checked them in. We stayed patient. While we waited, I got to appreciate the decor, the vinyl displays and artwork were really well done, and noticed the place wasn't even that busy, with plenty of open seating. After about 10 minutes she came back and asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. We said outside for the views, honestly just relieved to be getting seated at that point. She left again, telling us to wait by the wall, and brought up our lateness once more. At this point it felt less like an explanation and more like she was trying to make a point. She then came back and said she could seat us but that our group of 4 would be split into two pairs. When we actually got seated, that wasn't even the case, we were together in the lounge area the whole time, seating available all around us. It really seemed like she was just making things harder than they needed to be. Our server, on the other hand, was excellent, friendly with great recommendations. We ordered the wagyu burger, chicken wings, cauliflower steak, and a few drinks. The drinks were great; the wings, not so much. The music, ambiance, and view are clearly what's going to make The Vinyl Room a staple. I'm honestly not sure I'll be back after how the hostess handled things. If it weren't for family being in town, we probably would have left after her second passive-aggressive comment. I'm a local and I always want to support new spots, but this made it tough. I'd try again under different circumstances since I know they did work to accommodate us, but that hostess nearly ruined the night. **3/5**, great food (mostly) and vibe, but customer service needs work.

This is such a cool bar on property at the Rio. It's a very Brazilian vibe in here and just so cool. The lounge seating is absolutely beautiful. I just got a gin and tonic, but next time I come back here, definitely grabbing one of their tropical cocktails which looked so good. There was live entertainment when we were here, too. Being that we were there to celebrate, it was odd that we were seated at the table in the back, right next to the restrooms. When we arrived at 7:30pm, Doberman was only at about 20% capacity (it filled up later); being seated next to the restrooms was noisy from the doors slamming and busy with everyone walking right past us. Kind of a bummer and something we didn't realize until we were 1/2 way through our 1st cocktails. 2) There is a sign next to the front door asking you to not take photographs or video during your time at Doberman; something the hostess reiterated as well. I will admit, I was guilty of sneaking a few photos, but the large party of 7 that was sat across from us later in the evening were blatantly taking dozens of selfies with the flash on and standing up many times to take video / photos of the space, some also with the flash on. This was incredibly disruptive and we were honestly surprised that no staff told them to please put their phones away. 3) The volume of the music kept changing. While we enjoyed the selection of music, sometimes it was so loud my husband and I could not carry on a conversation, while other times it was pleasant background music. The volume inconsistency was a bit annoying. Despite my 3 minor issues, I truly loved Doberman Drawing Room. The atmosphere and drinks are well worth the hype.
