The Charleston Music Hall itself is a beautiful, historic venue--intimate, well-maintained, and known for hosting concerts, comedy shows, and special events. The seating is comfortable, sightlines are good, and acoustics are solid, which definitely worked in favor of the vocal performances. The singers were clearly talented and did a great job vocally--everyone sounded wonderful, and there's no denying the performers can sing. However, we personally felt that the show didn't quite feel like a full "production." It leaned heavily on straightforward singing, with limited storytelling, choreography, or theatrical elements to tie everything together. This may come down to expectations and personal preference. Growing up around Broadway shows in NYC, we're used to more dynamic, story-driven performances with larger production value, and this didn't quite meet that standard for us. While others may enjoy it for the music and holiday spirit--especially in a cozy venue like the Charleston Music Hall--we would probably not attend again, particularly considering the ticket price.

On this side street is a high up unexpected window with the most fantastic guy with his head poking out. He was so friendly and fun. My friend who is tall had to stand on her tippy toes to order. The audio bounces off the walls a lot, so I definitely recommend bringing earplugs to block out that extra echo. That said, I remember having an absolute blast. The bartenders were super friendly, welcoming, and stayed on top of everything even though the place was busy. I just ordered vodka sodas, so I can't really comment on the cocktail menu, but my drinks were exactly what I expected every time. I didn't try any of the food, so I can't speak to that, but if you know me, you know I'm a sucker for a good photo booth. They had one, and I definitely used it more than once. It was such a fun addition to an already great night. Between the friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and the photo booth, this ended up being one of my favorite bars I visited in Charleston. I'd absolutely go back the next time I'm in town.

One star off for them allowing a young lady to get so very drunk at the show before ours that she truly should have been hospitalized. She had trouble standing. She had trouble getting out of the facility. But once she staggered out (with someone supporting each arm) there was no further apparent interest from the facility staff. I saw they have like live bands sometimes too so it seems like a cool spot for all different kinds of music!
