We noticed the holiday lights outside and decided to stop in for a quick cocktail, as we had never been before. The space was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt very inviting and festive, so we were excited to check it out. Unfortunately, while we were at the outdoor bar, our server informed us that pets are not allowed unless they are service animals. We confirmed that this policy also applies to outdoor seating and were told it was due to insurance reasons. Because of this, we had to leave and take our business elsewhere, which was disappointing given how welcoming the atmosphere appeared. We ended up returning another day when it was just my husband and me because the Christmas décor was so beautiful we couldn't resist giving it another try. While the space itself was lovely, we weren't impressed with the drink options. I ordered an espresso martini and asked the bartender if it could be made with something other than Bailey's. He simply said no, without offering any alternatives or suggestions. It would have been nice to feel a bit more accommodated-Kahlúa, whiskey, or another option could have easily been suggested. In the end, I ordered the espresso martini anyway, only to see it poured from a box, which was another letdown. Stopped in because of the show. We came here early in the day to see the patio and then later at night to see the inside. Some pros and some cons. Pros: During the day no cover. Outside is cute and lots of fans so you will not get hot. Inside has great music. Cover was $10 a person at night which was cheaper than some other places. Cons: Drinks were super expensive for the atmosphere. It's hard to dance if you don't get a VIP table cause the space is super small in between the bar and the VIP section. The vibe wasn't as cool as I would have expected. Overall you have to come to check it out and get a drink but if I lived here I wouldn't frequent this place. read more

The famous Republic, we came in before 9PM so there was no cover quite yet and no line. As many have said, it's mostly a club on the inside- theres almost no space to dance unless you get a table/bottle service. Drink service was quick and I think they made a solid vodka cran. All staff was friendly and the DJ was lit on a Saturday night. Outside they have some tvs and more tables for rent- for us older folk, not a ton of place to sit or spots to dance. Inside gets really crowded and table service girls are constantly streaming by bumping you. read more

I'm visiting from Tennessee, and wanted to check out Sewing Down South. Unfortunately, it closed right before, but then I noticed Republic across the street. I wanted to see what the big fuss was about on TV, so we popped in. Had to enter through the garden, as the main door was locked. Cool space. It was pretty dead as far as business. Hubs and I both ordered espresso martinis, and smack my mama, they have an espresso martini machine!! The bartenders didn't impress at all, but my martini was good, so I had a second. Three martinis were $60 plus a tip. Plus, no three coffee beans to garnish, or any garnish. The fruit garnishes sitting out on the bar looked dry and old, as if cut early morning. Not fresh. Do NOT go here at night if you want to dance unless you have bottle service. There is no standing room for people without bottle service inside with the DJ so there is actually no place to dance. You can go outside and talk, but it's not the club experience we were expecting. We paid a cover to stand in a tiny sliver of space out of the way of the bottle service employees trying to get to tables. When we asked an employee where we can stand to dance, they said there's no where unless you have bottle service. read more

I've been here a few times and we keep going back because we want it to be better. It's a great location and the decor is super nice, but the staff isn't really that friendly and I'm not sure if they even want to work. My sister and I sat at the bar and we ordered one of each of the frozen drinks they offered because it was HOT. One of the bartenders wasn't very enthusiastic about being there. We got both of our drinks and one of the FROZEN drinks wasn't even frozen. Instead of coming back to us and saying one of them isn't frozen yet, would you like the other one instead...he replied "well it's still going to taste good." We said no thank you and could you please give us the other one. He rolled his eyes and brought it to us. It was a one and done for us after that drink. Bottles were ~$150 and the servers were great and attentive! Our space was kept clear of folks not in it and we had easy access to the club, bathroom etc. The layer it gets the less serious people are about Covid protections so the section helped with that as well! read more

Trash. I booked VIP table services weeks in advance. They advertise that getting table service comes with skipping the line. It would be cool if the VIP didn't have a line longer than the regular one. We waited in line to be sat at our table...only to be taken to what looked like the Walmart version of a table. They might as well have given me a folding table & chair in front of a trailer with a 40 in a paper bag. As if placing me out back in the alley by the dumpsters was not bad enough... the hostess and doorman had the audacity to say I never confirmed. Mind you- I am showing them a signed contract and confirmation of my card being given to the planner Judy. Only then to be told "sorry you paid for bottom barrel experience. if you would have paid $50 more you could be inside on a dry table" First and foremost when I asked Ms. Judy what the difference was in the packages she said the $50 increase only made a difference in reference to where in the club the table would be in regards to the action. Never did she say I would be sitting with the alley cats and next to the exit. Let's face the facts. 1. They saw that my group had only 6 people and that they could make more money with the group behind me which was a group of 15 drunk girls who did not even have a reservation oh and I forgot to mention were taken before us even though we were in LINE. 2. They thought we would be desperate enough to take the abuse of being sat outside and have it stormed and soaked the entire section that we couldn't even sit down and standing required us doing a balancing act on an uneven brick in a pool size puddle. 3. They also failed to realize that while I was there for fun I event planned for a living. I cross my Ts and dot my I's don't leave room for error. I asked groups around me what they paid and it was HALF what they were charging me to sit in. I proceeded to ask groups inside who were paying EXACTLY what I was paying and not the $50 extra. 4. While we tried to salvage the issue of being scammed - the place is trashed and dirty and the staff is far from anything pleasant. Luckily we had a much better experience walking distance from the republic - message me for the name because this place does not deserve your money. Note for the staff: the next time you want to hustle a group of out-of-town girls probably should take into consideration where they are from we spent our younger years dodging and learning from experience how to avoid sleazeballs like you. Oh and had your salesperson done her job right I likely would have paid double for a table inside - considering your "VIP" cost is the tax on what we spend at clubs here. read more
