I absolutely love this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]You cannot get much better than combining the beach and live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue is so much fun whether you're inside or outside, and they get some great little artists here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have not tried the food yet, but they serve you drinks pretty fast considering how packed it is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Expect tourists because who wouldn't want to come here?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is very spacious and I will be coming back more![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool music venue, especially for locals, with the stage being up against the beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very intimate and small - the best type of venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Brownie points for the Kona sponsorship. Parking is going to be your typical downtown IOP so factor that into your arrival time. We had no issues, but we also weren't in a terrible rush and didn't mind walking a bit.

Great concert outdoor venue overlooking the beach and indoor even better well ventilated with commercial grade fan cooling the place off so great relief from summer heat. Drinks were okay. Did not order food but service was typical busy hurried understandably!

This place is absolutely a bar, but it was even lower tier than I expected. The outdoor seating was not kept clean (sticky tables etc.) no lighting at the tables made it hard to eat and interact with others once the sun started going down. I had to get creative and rig a flashlight to the umbrella to serve as a makeshift lamp. The food was greasy, as you would expect, but still tasty. Certainly don't be surprised if you have a bit of an upset stomach after. The place was out of some key ingredients, primarily BBQ Sauce, but also some supplies to make drinks. They did pull off a nice Long Island Iced Tea for me though, and the service staff was polite throughout the process. When it came to pay there was a lot of up charges tacked on that really should have just been built into the price and not as a hidden fee. Overall if you set your expectations correctly and go on a night where there is live music you could have a fine experience. If you want better food options though, Coconut Joes appears to have a much more robust menu.

Came by here to grab a beer before the Allen stone concert outdoor. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The set up outside was nice, small but spacious still and I posted up with a beach chair close to the stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cool venue right on the beach at IOP, so I would recommend wearing sandals or flip flops since you may wanna go barefoot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a touch humid that day but not too hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall it was a pretty chill place and I'll have to come back and try the food next time.

I have quite the confusion regarding my total for my takeout order. My mom and I looked on their website and were excited at how well priced everything was, and decided to check it out for dinner. There was no phone number to call and place a takeout order, so we went in person. Not a big deal for us since we are within walking distance, but could possibly pose an issue for other customers. I recommend adding your phone number to the "Contacts" section of your website, making it more accessible and convenient for customers. I couldn't find it anywhere on Google or the Windjammer app. Regarding my total, you can see the actual receipt and screenshots from some parts of their menu on their website. Obviously I understand the local fees and taxes, this is to be expected when buying anything, but we were charged a credit card fee even though we paid in cash. The principle of the matter is that it's quite misleading and a bit odd that they haven't adjusted their prices. Of course paying extra is fine when I am aware of what I am paying for. Of course I understand the cost of living has increased in the past few years, things are more expensive, sure. I just think upholding honesty and transparency is crucial for any business, regardless of industry. I suggest breaking the prices on the receipt down like how the menu is broken down. On a positive note, the food was tasty and was classic bar food.

We love windjammer during the summer months but back in January, we went when they started there oyster roast back up again. They do this every Saturday and sunday until the end of february. The oysters are steamed, and you buy at the bar. A bucket is 15 which is a great deal, i usually share with 3 friends. they have a little bar full of supplies and things to use and eat it with. Like crackers, horseradish and cocktail sauce. We sit outside and love the vibes. they are usually really quick too. It can get busy and they do run out after awhile but we get there when they start at 1. on Sunday's parking is pretty easy they have free parking on Sunday's. Grab a beer and vibe out too the beach scene, and not an oysters fan try there hamburger and fries! tatertots are also a hit there. very easy going place. Cant wait for the summer months with their lineups and great vibes. n

I'll keep this review short - we had a good time up until we were treated like absolute garbage (continued by the comments made back to us on Google by the owner minutes after posting our review). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Windjammer had no issues taking our money for feeding a crew of 13, the crowd had an absolute blast cheering on our kiddos singing karaoke, and we left before 830.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's sad that business owners have to be so rude in this world. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thankful our kids didn't understand what was going on at this "not daycare".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

When I walked in, I was slapped with the dive bar feel. I'm surprised the floors aren't stickier. It's huge and clearly set up to play music. There are pool tables and other machines and a long bar with several bar tenders. Surprisingly wasn't that bad in terms of time waiting on fish sandwich, fish and chips, burgers etc. my friends LOVED the Jell-O shots. The little carrying trays for the sauces was great. I liked my fish sandwich it was fresh and crispy and flavorful, not too greasy. The fries were good too. Loved the direct access to the beach and the smokers were very happy to sit outside and have beers. By 10pm people were lined up outside to see the musicians play and we were told to leave and come back and pay or stay outside the whole time. We had spent enough while being there but this was the rule. The locals seemed very excited about the music.

Smugglers - Isle of Palms, SC…read more How have I lived just minutes from this place and never actually eaten here?! ‍ I've stopped in for drinks before, but last night the wife and I finally decided to grab dinner before heading over to the Windjammer... and WOW... what a pleasant surprise! I ordered the fried seafood platter with shrimp, oysters, and cod, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it may have been one of the best seafood platters I've ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly--crispy, fresh, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Add some of that Texas Pete hot sauce on top... game over! Debbie loved her meal too, and the margaritas were absolutely fantastic! But here's what really stood out... The customer service was exceptional. A huge shout-out to Dave and our server Katie, who made us feel like family from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Friendly, attentive, funny, and genuinely happy to be there. That kind of service is becoming harder and harder to find these days, and they absolutely nailed it. The atmosphere is exactly what you want at the beach--relaxed, welcoming, no frills, just great food, cold drinks, great people, and live music outside. It's one of those hidden gems sitting right across from Coconut Joe's near the VFW that could easily become your new favorite local spot. We'll definitely be back... probably sooner rather than later! If you're visiting Isle of Palms or you're lucky enough to live nearby like we are, do yourself a favour and stop in. Five Stars. Three thumbs up from us! And remember... You know you've found an awesome seafood restaurant when you leave with a circus in your mouth... because every bite is a different act! Enjoy the photos and videos... they'll make you hungry!

You can choose to sit inside or out and after a really hot day we chose inside. We got the pretzel and Mozzarella sticks the kids both really liked. The pizza was ok kinda burnt I would pass on it. I got the grilled chicken ceaser wrap which used shredded chicken which was different. Lacked a little meat and kind of dry, the waffle fries that came with it were great. For drinks I had the rum bucket which was tasty. Def worth a visit.
