Took my 7-year-old daughter here for a tooth ache. She was incredibly nervous before her visit. Once she arrived, she immediately felt welcomed and cared for. They gave her a warm soft blanket and stuffy animal to cuddle during her procedure, which helped so much! I always enjoy having my teeth cleaned by Lynn. She takes the time to clean my teeth, examine for potential problems within my mouth and educates me on new techniques to keep my mouth healthy! Met Bennett the owner a few months back while my wife was having hand surgery. He was there with someone also having it done. Got talking. Our dentist of 45 years recently retired leaving us with a kid just out of dental school. Bennett recommended we drop by and see what his practice is all about. Liking what we saw we arranged for our free cleanings at his place. The staff was friendly so was the waiting room. We are always offered a water. Had our cleanings done last week plus my wife needed a few repairs that had been done at the same time. Worked out fine or so it appeared. The really negative part of this practice is the rude lady in the back speaking with a heavy accent. She is extremely rude and talks over you. Try to say something she becomes defensive saying she does not want to argue with me. That occurred the very first time there and again after my cleaning. I finally just told her when she stopped talking for a second (fair enough) even thought it wasn't then walked off wondering why I was treated with such disrespect. On Saturday 4/19 I received something in the mail from this practice. Thinking it was odd I opened it to see. It was a bill for $45. In hand writing on the bill there was the name Mike with $45 after it. I am Robert. She cannot even get my name right. What did the Dental Hygienist do special I was not told about? I was the recipient of the cleaning. I have had bi-yearly cleanings for decades like clockwork so has my wife. We have had the same Dental plan since the 80's. Our former hygienist would do exactly the same cleaning. The other billing received is for my wife. At our old dentist's office we always paid our 20% up front before leaving the office. The new billing although it's not a fortune wants $9 more on top of the $62.40 she already paid the day of the services rendered. To be frank I am not paying the $45. I do not know what it was for and was not told about the additional charge on top of my free cleaning. I was told about a fluoride treatment that was additional. I declined it verbally. My wife Cindy won't be paying the $9 either. The billing shows nowhere that can explain the need for $9 more nor does the billing reflect what the additional $45 added to my visit was about. Cindy paid the 20% quoted. It's paid in full. So, Bennett we gave your place a try. It has a nice staff up front and a nice modern atmosphere but the rude woman at the desk in the rear needs to lighten up. She was very rude and inconsiderate when I politely questioned how she was explaining my visit's costs. Staring at me she told me she won't argue with me. I was not arguing she was. I was asking for clarification. All I did was respectfully question some of her hard to understand rapid fire wording. I like to understand what is being presented to me especially when it comes to money. I was standing outside her door waiting for my turn at her desk but while waiting I over heard her loudly belittling someone on the phone. I overheard the entire thing. It was not nice and that bad attitude is representing your business. It was not right for her to do that while someone was nearby it was that bad. I don't know how you keep the doors open with representation like that. When she finally hung up and I sat down I told her you really gave the person on the other end of the line a really hard time. She had no response. If she had talked to me that way on the phone I would have hung up and not called back ever but not before saying a few choice words I am sure she had already heard many times. In closing Bennett sorry but Cindy and I are going back to our old dentist's office. He might be trying to sell us a lot of services we don't think are needed but the 6 months interacting with him at least it was positive. Your processes seem more corporate instead of family like. No one on our old dentist's staff was ever rude to us or added on extra charges without our knowledge. The first time at your place the rude woman fired off at me. I wanted to walk away and not go back. My wife said lets give it a try so we did but we have had enough between the billings and the rude woman. No one is allowed to talk to us that way. We will be going back to our former dentist. The appointments with him are already set. Cancel the October 22nd visits with your office for both of us. read more

I have been going here for years but had to show up with an 'emergency' with no appointment after a horribly uncomfortable weekend. As it was- I was not surprised to discover an infection below the gum line and a referral to an endodontist they work with Regularly. Thank goodness the endo got me in same day and I feel SOOO much better! Viewing other reviewers on here-Absolutelely 100% percent agree that Lynn is AMAZING ! HOWEVER.. Sheila too 100 % AMAZING and those have something NOT nice to say DO NOT know her!! She too is amazing and will go to bat for you! I love her tough soft attitude and I don't believe I have ever witnessed arrogance or hostility? (Seriously -even when I have argued with her regarding billing?!) Don't confuse an accent with arrogance or hostility-she is as sweet as the rest and I don't think you'll find better quality. read more

This was my first and last time at this office all because of one AWFUL employee, Sheila. She's arrogant and hostile. I've never met an employee so terrible to work with, at any office! I had the same issue as other people with the upfront cost expectations. I was first quoted $536 for 2 crowns, then after having the work done, I was told $409. THEN, over Xmas weekend I get a statement from them saying I owe another $633!! I called my insurance company and went over the figures. Turns out I'm being charged an extra $238 I shouldn't be and was never told that my crowns were only covered at 50% instead of the originally quoted 80%. I feel completely lied to and scammed right before the end of the year. I would have NEVER did this work had I known I had to pay $800 out of pocket. Instead of offering to call my insurance company with me there to verify, Sheila started to argue with me in front of the owner/hygienist (Lynne) and then called ME disrespectful! Ha what a joke. Never going back and I'll never recommend someone. On a good note, the rest of the staff is awesome! They scam you for your money and then send you bills months even up to a year Later that doesn't justify their amount due. We some how keep getting billed for insurance coverage stuff and they will fight you and fight you then threaten you to pay or else. I'm So sick and tired of this place. The office manager or collections manager whatever she is, is the worst. I liked the place till I started noticing the behavior and the bills that I shouldn't have gotten. I arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It is August but they had 4th of July decor all over which was a great change from a bland, minimalistic decor you usually see at medical/dental offices. I was greated by the DA and she was great. I have issues with X-rays, and she was extremely patient and made me feel at ease. Dr. Brower came in to gave me an exam and was very warm and friendly. During the exam he was extremely thorough. We discussed several treatment options and he did so without pushing anything on me and making me feel like I was being forced to say yes to a specific treatment path. We went over a treatment plan, and he was very collaborative. I also got a chance to speak with Sheila, their office admin and she was great. Although it was my first visit I can say I feel great about continuing my dental care with this dentist and recommend anyone in Mesa/Gilbert consider doing the same. read more

Accept that if you belong to Cigna dental they do not abide by the codes of Cigna contract charges are twice as much on the codes. Example code D2740 they Broadway Dentistry are charging me $426.00 and from my conversation with Cigna they should be charging me $206.70.So that being said I gave them 4 stars for there dental work but I give then 0 stars for Cigna customers that have and pay yearly for insurance on charging double which I will not pay so if you have Cigna Insurance I personally would not go there. read more

Amazing experience! You feel as if you are their only focus! Their expertise and sincere approach is just what this dentalphobe needed!!!

The staff seemed really nice. Gave me a treatment plan with my insurance price vs. their in-house prices. They claimed my insurance price was $5,280 vs their in-house price of only $3,865.80 for three crowns. Looked like a good deal until I found out that they jacked up my insurance prices. For instance, they indicated that one ceramic crown with buildup with my insurance cost $1,760. Their in-house price was only $1,288. Quite a savings, right? Until I went to another dentist and he gave me my REAL insurance price of only $565 for the same work on the same tooth (#20). If you sign up with their "in-house" plan, you have no recourse with your insurance plan. My insurance company would have never approved their fees. Also, hygienist said that since I had periodontal cleaning (deep cleaning) that I could no longer get a regular (free with insurance) cleaning anymore -- anywhere. Not true. When I told my new dentist why I was seeing him, he said that I do NOT need a periodontal maintenance cleaning. My regular cleaning is zero co-pay with insurance, and periodontal maintenance cleaning is $60 every three months. Also this dentist didn't say I needed two fillings, yet my new dentist did. Probably because On Broadway Dentistry couldn't jack up the zero co-pay on my insurance plan without getting caught. And the kicker is that they knew that I was a senior with low income. Be sure to check with your insurance company before hiring this company for your dental work. They should be ashamed of themselves for this scam! BE CAREFUL THEY ARE SACAMMERS. I went in because of all the positive reviews and the people working there are all very kind and nice. But, they overcharge and lie directly to you. Every other dentist I have ever been to goes over your x-rays and what you need to have done. They decided to just give me an estimate of nearly $8000 which included five crowns. I went to another dentist and gave him the estimate and he looked at my x-rays and gave me an estimate of $1500, with a few cavities and some other work. He said, "Your teeth are healthy the other dentist wanted to do unnecessary work." They also overcharged me for a deep cleaning by several hundred dollars compared to other dentist offices. They pretend to care about your well being, but they just want to empty your wallet. read more

Not surprised that there was another review about this place scamming people. My sister went in and they tried committing insurance fraud. She went in for a check up and lied saying that she had a tooth that needs to be removed immediately and a tooth filler to be added. The also told her she needed cavity work. They were going to charge her $3000 and said that her insurance would cover only 30%. When she went to another dentist place she told them this, they said that they were scamming her out of a lot of money. The other place ran x rays and said she had no cavities, the tooth doesn't have to be immediately taken out, and all she needs is a root canal that her insurance will cover it 100%. I broke a piece off my crown and literally had a hole in it. I called the office and they were able to get me in right away. I was so thankful because I couldn't eat on that side of my mouth until it was fixed. I was fitted for a crown and went back in 2 weeks to have the crown put in. Such a good experience. The location is perfect because it's right near work and my home. A very convenient location, safe to visit them during the pandemic as they're taking all precautions and the staff is really friendly. I'm so glad I switched from my dentist in Scottsdale. read more

I only have positive things to say about this dental office. I've always had anxiety about going to the dentist, and never stuck to my regularly scheduled cleanings in the past because of it. Now, I'm sticking to my scheduled cleanings (mostly - life happens), and I never feel weird about telling Dr. Goss about any dental issues I'm having. She explains things clearly, and I don't feel like I'm being "sold" on something like I have in the past with other dentists. The dental hygienists are always super nice and helpful. I never feel judged, or talked down too. Which, it's sad I have to point that out but I've definitely had that experience in the past. Also, you can tell the whole office gets along and it just creates this great ambiance when you're there. I love this office, and have already recommended them to a few friends. read more

WOW!!!! I would rate more stars if I could! I've never been to a dentist like this. I have an extreme fear of the dentist and I left their office with a huge smile on my face. They make you feel SO comfortable and will sit and talk with you and explain every little thing and the hygienist was super attentive. (I always hated sitting in the chair at other offices wondering what I'm waiting on) Not this office, they make you feel like you're their friend and ask if you need this or that and tell you exactly what's going on. Even asked me if she could grab my phone out of my purse for me for the (only) 5 minute wait. The office is beautiful and they have state-of-the-art equipment. I also liked that it's a smaller office, it feels more homey if you're a person like me. Dentist is super sweet woman that seems like this was her calling in life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!
