BIG thanks to Jeremy/ On Call Plumbing! Without being able to take on our plumbing job, Jeremy still took time out to share with us knowledge that ended up saving us money. We had an emergency water leak (more like a literal geyser) take place at the meter box outside the garage door at our townhome unit. We were scrambling frantically trying to find a plumber who had the crew available to fix it ASAP. Jeremy / On Call Plumbing --like the other two plumbing companies we contacted before them--were already fully-booked on jobs for the day and thus, understandably unable to address our emergency. YET, Jeremy didn't just move on from my question regarding their availability. Even knowing that he was unable to take the work, he still spent the time to share with me some thoughts he had from past experiences in dealing with issues of meter box leaks in a townhome situation with an HOA (homeowners association). We are BEYOND grateful that he took the time and energy to share this knowledge with us. I had a non-emergency situation in my kitchen and needed to get someone out to fix a leak. I called On Call and set up an appointment for the following day. The guy who answered said he was busy but would text me in a few minutes. No text; Nobody called to confirm. So I called again the next morning and was told that they were really busy and must've not written it down. So I set up another appointment for the following day. Again no follow up call and nobody showed. No apology from the business. No call back. Very poor customer service. Luckily there are other plumbers in the SCV who are more dependable. read more

As an 18-year-long owner of a couple of busy restaurants in Santa Clarita, we've had our share of plumbing issues - they usually happen at night on the weekends, when we are busy and plumbers aren't always responsive or affordable... After being dissapointed with several plumbers we've called during emergencies, we tried On Call Plumbing. I wish we would have known about this company years ago! We had a temperature & pressure relief valve triggering on our large commercial water heater and no hot water to wash dishes - not good! I have to say that Jeremy is an exceptional professional, he uses a logical problem solving approach, finds the root cause, and fixes - and his pricing is very fair! Worth every penny. He could have easily told us we had no choice but to pay him to install a new water heater - a $10k to $15k job. Instead, he quickly converged on the true root cause and replaced our expansion tank for a couple hundred bucks and also assessed our entire heater and found a few issues that aren't urgent but need attention in the future. So I had a massive back up on my main sewer line, Jeremie Johnson was amazing I told him I need hydro jetting service. He mentioned he would have to bring in a camera to further assess the issue. Candidly, if Yelp offered a 6th star, I'd give it to Jeremie and crew at On Call Plumbing. Jeremie knows his trade inside and out, provides exceptional customer service (i.e., the kind that inspires trust and confidence), and goes beyond the call of duty. Our job took a little more than three 12-hour days to complete and, throughout, Jeremie proactively communicated details and next steps, set a flat rate for the entire job, and I could sense that he was sincerely empathetic to our plight (we had just purchased the home two weeks prior). He took the time needed to pinpoint the exact location of the issue in our 4,100 s.f. home before digging which was no small task given the amount of blockage throughout a long section of pipe that was unnavigable by cameras. The thoroughness with which he went about determining the exact location of the problem avoided the catastrophe of us having a marble floor dug up. Thankfully, the location of our problem was just outside of an exterior wall! As for the 6th star and going beyond the call of duty, I'm not sure where to start because there were many, but here are some of the reasons why he's deserving of the praise: fixing a leaky valve in our laundry and a faulty drain, reconfiguring the trap around the door to our septic which was improperly rigged, and providing us with very useful and specific insights about the plumbing setup in our home. Each of these actions was taken without my asking or additional charge. After owning homes for nearly two decades, finding service professionals who operate at the level Jeremie operates his company with - in all areas - is insanely difficult. We recently bought a home in santa clarita and there was discovered to be roots in the plumbing - after doing a search on yelp on call showed such great reviews so we gave them a try. First off jeremy was super responsive and gave me some answer immediately over the phone- his costs for certain things were openly discussed and he was very clear. There were a list of things i needed for him to do and when he arrived he remembered them all- arriving prepared. He surveyed the issues and suggesting installing a cleanout which my house did not have. Since it was a larger expense i was hesitant, but jeremy explained that if i did not put one in if there was a backup in my pipes for any reason the waste would overflow into my house. I decided to go for it along with getting a tankless- which he helped me apply for a rebate online!. About two weeks after getting the cleanout installed water did start to overflow into the driveway (where the cleanout was) and i was so glad we listened! He immediately came out to find the issue at no cost. On call has come out about 5 times and everytime they have been prompt to return calls and clean when they leave! I personally contacted Jermey Johnson of On Call Plumbing for a simple plumbing job. I had a clogged sewer line in the backyard going from our guest cottage to the septic. I told him I have a lot of rental homes, so I often need a plumber. To fix the clog, he ran the snake through the line and cleared the the tree roots. During and after the job Jeremy kept acting very odd, attempting very hard to make us like him, but it came off more like a bad acting job. He even asked us to go to dinner a couple of times, saying he wanted to take us to dinner. The second plumbing job I hired him for was for one of my rental homes. I had a drain pipe under our shower come apart, so the tub had to be removed and the pipe reconnected. He had me buy a new bathtub from him and pay to install it, when the old one had not a thing wrong with it. In the process he damaged the new tub and used some type of white enamel touchup paint over the scratch without telling me he damaged the tub. After the job and paying for all that I just figured, oh well, I needed the drain pipe fixed anyway. The third plumbing job I hired Jermey for was for my sewer on another of my rental homes, because it wasn't draining. After being there for a short time, Jermey called me aside by waving me to the other side of his work van, clearly in order to take me away from his apprentice being able to hear what he was going to say to me. He in a whispering voice, told me the clog is in the cement floor and that the cement will have to be cut open, and that it's going to cost me $4,300, and that he is very sorry, but that was what was needed to fix the problem. He kept telling me how sorry he was, but it didn't sound sincere and it was obvious he was trying to sound sincere. Because of Jeremey's odd behavior, and him not wanting his apprentice to hear the diagnosis, I became very uncomfortable with what Jermey was telling me, so I decided something was wrong and that I better call another plumber. The plumber I called to get a second opinion from came over to our home and found the clog out in the middle of the backyard within 10 minutes. It was just a tree root that clogged up the main sewer line between the house and the city sewer line, and the clog was right next to a clean-out in the sewer line. This other plumber cleared the clog in about 15 minutes and the charge was only $145. That's my personal experience with On Call Plumbing, hopefully your's will be better. read more

Jeremy is valuable resource for those who are looking for an honest and straight shooter. I call him to lookover the work of a different plumber who wanted to do slab leak work based off his "eyeball" estimation which lasted about 5 minutes. This same plumber initially did the work Luckily I called Jeremy who came and did a thorough check and spent a good amount of time making sure it was not a slab leak. He walked me through what he was looking for and what the signs would be. He is a good guy and very knowledgeable. He wanted to see if I understood what I would be paying for and if I was comfortable with it. I would especially recommend him if you are going through insurance because he knows so much and does not sell you on anything. Jeremie was awesome! We just moved into a home that was remodeled. The people that worked on the house said they had licensed professionals install everything. We had a propane leak up in our attic he came and fixed the problem. They used illegal piping to connect the propane to the hvac witch was leaking through the pipe. Jeremie took the time to locate all the leaks and explained everything as he was doing it. Very professional highly recommend! Our water heater died on late Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. I called On Call Plumbing and spoke to Jeremy. He came out right away and evaluated our issue. We ended up getting a new water heater, and they showed up on time, early the next day on Memorial Day to install it. They did a great job and were totally professional. The next evening, I smelled a whiff of gas and called Jeremy to see if that was normal for the new unit. He said no and came out right away, even though it was past 9pm. It turned out one of our original valves was leaking. Even though this valve had nothing to do with the new install, he changed it out and even gave me a warranty on the new valve at no extra charge.
