During these times... when sanitizing is of the utmost importance, On The Docks is woefully trailing. They're spraying the tables with a Windex-like solution... which is not a sanitizer, but a Shiner. Tables are glistening. A Table Clearer, thinking she could clear our used dishes/glasses had to place dirty glasses from another table on OUR table, until she was able to balance all the used/dirty dishware in her arms. DISGUSTING!!! Table Clearers, ungloved and clearing tables, then set up the tables without cleaning/washing their hands!!! We personally observed this several times!!! Finally... several tables are NOT 6 FEET APART. Definitely not adhering to current uniform standards. "Anything for a buck". AND, DISGUSTING. read more

Absolutely terrible! Had to wait 20 minutes before asking if our table had a server. Then ordered lobster bisque which was nothing more than the thick lumpy paste with no flavor. First time ordering for pickup during quarantine. Not very happy. First we ordered mozzarella sticks, chicken skewers teriyaki, marinated cheeseburger, turkey club. Never got the skewers. We got chicken teriyaki dinner and charged for the dinner. Very unhappy. The marinated cheese burger was not marinated and the turkey club was squashed into the tin pan. What was surprising is that the other was repeated back, so why the screwups. Not ordering again. We really miss Phil's. read more

We finished apple picking at harbes, and saw this place was close by so we decided to stop in. We called and were told there was no wait. We were seated right away and got our drinks. A member in our group asked for apple juice and it was given to her and automatically looked weird. It looked clear at top, yellow on the bottom, I should've taken a photo. Upon our waitress Christina coming back to our table, we asked if this could be removed off the bill because it tastes bad. She was very rude and gave an attitude for asking that, and for the rest of the time being was very rude and cold. There is NO reason to be cold and rude to your table because they did not like their drink. Anyways, the food took over a half hour for chicken fingers appetizer, salad, 3 tacos, and a burger. Other people seated after us received their food first. Coincidence that the waitress was rude and now the food was taking longer. Food deserves more stars, but hopefully management will see this and remind their staff on how they should treat customers. read more

Left here disappointed. Was torn about writing a review as I really wanted to like this place. My husband and I went out to dinner tonight around 6 (it's a Sunday). We were met by a woman in leopard print top who was less than accommodating and had a bit of an attitude. It was an hour wait for a table outside (no worries), so I requested a table in the main dining room. She was ready to stick us right at a table next to the kitchen until a nicer gentleman came over and sat us at another table with a better view of the water. The dining room was beautiful, but I was hoping for actual table linens as opposed to paper placemats and paper napkins. The drink selection was nice. I really liked that they served local wines. Service was average. The food was not great. I ordered the seafood combo and it was not fresh at all. We live on Long Island- there's no excuse for mushy clams. I was praying I didn't get food poisoning it was so bad. The most redeeming factor was the beautiful waterview, the nice bar outside and the fun live band. Hope this place shapes up with the food because it has the potential to be a gold mine. read more

I am absolutely appalled by the customer treatment and food quality at this restaurant. We live locally and like to give local restaurants our business. We ordered takeout for our family and two of our family members have celiacs disease. I ordered a no bun burger with rice (they put cross contaminated French fries in the container), my other sons burger was supposed to have bacon ( that we paid for) and didn't and my husbands salad was topped with "grilled shrimp" (that did not specify on the menu that they were breaded.) We specified the celiacs disease for sons meal but because grilled shrimp are usually seasoned and not breaded we did not specify it on the salad (which admittedly we should have done but who breads their grilled shrimp?) When I called to ask if the shrimp was breaded (after my husband ate one) they said yes. I suggested that they specify that on the menu because many have wheat allergies or celiacs disease and could get sick (my husband will now be sick all night) I was directed to the owner. The owner started screaming at me over the phone that "it is my responsibility to specify and don't tell them how to cook their food..." and kept yelling at me over the phone. Meanwhile I kept explaining that we can't eat the salad and I just want a refund. He screamed some more and told me to bring it back. As I entered the restaurant I hear him yell "here she comes". I said " I spoke to you on the phone about the salad". He continued to scream at me loaded throughout the restaurant, throw a $20 bill at me and said "I'm the owner and this is why I can talk to you like this". I obviously will never be back, but I warn everyone that has any dietary restriction or just doesn't want to be demeaned and screamed at while wasting their money on horrible food to avoid this place. Horrible. Went this evening with my mom and my hubby (for his birthday). Everything was just awful, and I hate to write bad reviews but I have to be honest. The appetizer sampler we ordered was mostly frozen fried zucchini, maybe two mozzarella sticks, and some dry wings. My mom and hubby both ordered broiled seafood platters..pretty bad. My mom's contained a piece of flounder that had a really off smell. Vegetables were frozen and soggy. I ordered chicken milanese which was dry and inedible. Waiter was fairly nice but not very attentive..didnt even acknowledge the fact that I only took about five bites of my meal (you would think he would have asked if everything was ok). Poor quality food and very overpriced. Needless to say, we will not go back. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Didn't seem like anyone was managing the staff. Lots of hostesses / wait staff but most of them were standing around playing with their phones. I ordered a summer shandy beer and was told it was at the outside bar and since that bar was closed and the bartender didn't want to go outside to get it , I had to choose another beer. A very big menu kinda like something you would see in a diner. Had the prime rib special, was probably the worst prime rib I ever ate. Had dinner here this evening, what a pleasant surprise and experience. Frankly I was reluctant to try them because of a few 1 star reviews and negative comments on Yelp. In my opinion the 1 star reviews were wrong. The food was really good and the menu was extensive and the prices were very reasonable, The waitstaff were terrific. Our waitress, Josie, a young student from Oklahoma was the jewel in the crown. We told Josie we'd mention her name, Hi Josie!!!! She had a real can do attitude. The bus staff were always nearby to help. When we complimented the owner when we were leaving he was very gracious. Finally, this place itself was the perfect setting on the water overlooking the boats on the river. I think you can drive your boat up to their dock but you better check that with them first we drove there, All in all a great choice, give them a try you won't regret it read more

We live fairly close to newly named On The Docks. While it was named Phil's on the waterfront we tried it a number of times; where not impressed. The new owner has turned the menu into a must go and try again restaurant. We have eaten here 3 times in the last month even with the Corona Virus. The menu is on point with a place that literally sits on the water. Love the seafood choices and my husband is totally the opposite with his food choices which is meat and pasta. We took our young adult children there and they enjoyed the food and great service. We highly recommend the place great food and Servce!! read more

So I'm really hoping this place was so bad because it's new, and that they'll figure it out, because they have an amazing spot. We sat on the back deck a few weeks ago, and were excited because the menu looked good and the view of the water was lovely. They had a trio playing music, and even though it was outside, it was so loud. We were yelling across the table basically the whole time. Our cocktails were mostly seltzer. I had a chicken Caesar wrap and I wish I had taken a picture of it, because it was 97% lettuce with the tiniest piece of chicken in each side. My friends had fish and chips, and it was like two chicken-tender size pieces of fried fish, a handful of French fries, and a bucket of coleslaw. They had a pretty good wine selection, the prices were totally reasonable, and the service was fine but we were very disappointed. Again, I really hope it's just a weird time of adjustment for them since taking over Phil's, and I'd like to try it again in the fall. read more

We will chalk this up to being new and taking over for Phil's and still being in transition. Seating was confusing - your table is ready, and then to be told to wait. We were shocked at the iceberg house salad - literally sad iceberg, with a few little tomatoes and two slices of cucumbers. The bread cold and stale. The baked clams were in foil and were incredibly salty and no chopped clam or clam flavor in sight. The special fish special included those foil clams again, the cod again very salty, overall so disappointing. The steak was delicious - that was a win. I would not order fish here again, maybe a burger? Wish the new owner and team food luck. The setting is lovely and this was a favorite of ours and hope it will be again. But work needs to be done to get to a decent quality standard. read more

Worst lunch I ever had. Swordfish was gummy and my Husbands potato pancake was really like a hockey puck, black and hard as a rock.

This is the a place u wouldn't know unless word of mouth or your own a boat and keep at the marina here . The restaurant is re done the bar is beautiful to sit at or eat in they have 2 beautiful dining room with wall to wall windows overlooking the dock. His the owner introduces himself as you walk in and checks on you throughout your dining experience . The servers are very Attentive and informative Julie is an absolute sweetheart . We enjoyed lobster bisque lobster rolls swordfish broiled fish lobsters and steaks they were all delicious... and Horse dessert and coffee carrot cake for two photos cheesecakes and Keylime pie to die for... If it were up to me it would get no stars. We were eager to visit the place since we had been to Phill's Waterfront many times. We went twice in mid August 2019 - what a disappointment. Our first visit on 8/9 was luke warm at best. I had the tacos and they were edible but nothing to write about here. My mom had the blackened salmon but it wasn't blackened. We decided to give it another try a few days later and boy did we regret it. I had the fish and chips - the fish batter was sopping with oil. My moms lobster roll was in name only. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there ware not chunks of lobster as one would expect in a lobster roll and I'm pretty sure it was filled with crab meat and sopping in mayo. An absolute epic fail and rip off. I also ordered a white sangria and got a watered down glass off wine full of ice and a splash of orange juice. When I asked if this was my sangria I was told this is how they make it. We spent $122 that night. What a waste. I really wanted to love it as I did Phill's but it's clear that quality is not a thing the new owners are interested in. read more
