Had an IG push for Captain Claudio's Bloody Mary which is a pitcher of Bloody Mary with a lobster, shrimp and bacon in it so we HAD to do it with our friends. It did not disappoint and just seeing it before drinking/eating it was a great experience. We enjoyed the bloody with a side of mimosas and then a bunch of food. The food (chicken wrap, Mahi tacos, chicken fingers and pasta with the last two being for the kids) was pretty good. You're truly coming to this place for the scenery and some drinks. Easy to bring kids and enjoy a convo with friends. Our waitress was wonderful and kind getting the kids orders in first, finding some coloring sheets and crayons and dealing with our party of 8. My husband and I made a day trip out east to enjoy lunch and spend some time walking around town. When we arrived at Claudio's, we put our name on the waitlist and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. After returning, we waited another 15-20 minutes at the host stand before being informed there was a kitchen issue and that they were no longer seating guests. The host assured us that we would still be able to order food, but after finally being seated, our waiter told us the kitchen was no longer serving food because of the same issue. After waiting roughly 25 minutes just to place an order and watching food continue to come out of the kitchen the entire time, our frustration kept growing. We eventually received our meal, but it was honestly mediocre. There are likely much better places to eat in the area. The waterfront setting and live music were enjoyable, and that's really what you're paying for. Unfortunately, the poor communication, long waits, and overall experience outweighed the positives for us. read more

Almost anything open-air and by the sea will get thumbs up from me. Claudio's is such a place situated in a cute village on the far north fork of Long Island. A summertime excursion is making a day of visiting the town of Greenport, where Claudio's is located and shopping is abundant. Oftentimes, we take the ferries from Sag Harbor. On the return trip, we have the ferry option and/or driving through the towns to our final destination. Since Claudio's is usually busy, I made a reservation prior to shopping. I asked if Steamers were available. The hostess confirmed they were. Twenty-five minutes later, seated at a table looking out at the dock and sea, I asked the waitress about if Steamers were available. Her reply, "As of this morning, no they are not." Although we enjoyed the scenery, good service, our seafood wraps, tacos and French fries, I remained disappointed. read more

I want to be fair and honest here, we stopped in last night with a party of 11 and were seriously underwhelmed. Let's start with the positives; staff was friendly, weather was outstanding and the vibe was very relaxed. Now the criticism; service was painstakingly slow starting with the bar and following to the table. Getting drinks and food within a reasonable timeframe seemed outside the staff's capabilities. Food was below my expectations. I ordered a marinated steak which for the price point was poor. The requested cook was acceptable but there was no flavor. I would have expected a better quality meat with a proper marinade at $42. Nacho appetizer was average, Fried calamari was very good but the thimble of sauce was insufficient, chicken wings never showed up. The overall bill was fairly priced for a waterfront experience but I'd be in no rush to return. read more

Service was a complete disaster, extremely slow and inattentive. Disappearing server - here for 2 min gone for 20. Draught beer was warm? How? The food? The food you ask? Absolute piles of slop resembling hospital cafeteria quality ingredients. Shrimp cocktail was putrid, cocktail sauce was so weak I could have used it as off brand ketchup, no flavor at all, shrimp were soggy like they were laying in water for two days, disgusting. The fish and chips appeared to be deep fried roofing shingles, fried beyond recognition, French fries are from a bag frozen, unseasoned and flavorless. If I never come here again it would be too soon. Total rip off, prices are very high for the piles of shit you get on the plate. read more

We bookmarked Claudio's Waterfront after seeing a photo of the Captain Claudio's Bloody Mary. We didn't end up ordering it (it's $115). But it is a 35 oz drink that comes with a 1.25# lobstah, 8 shrimp, bacon, olives, celery, and grilled jalapenos. Def sharable. Claudio's is a popular spot for pier dining in Greenport right on the bay. Only one of us ordered food-the beau got the fish and chips-while our drink order consisted of a very strong dark and stormy, a frozen marg, and a frozen lemonade. The lemonade wasn't too frozen, but my frozen marg was great! Even better was a Casamigos promo gal walking around giving away shots/samples, so I topped off my drink. Music was kinda a vibe kill. Made the place feel like a loud bar in Cancun. If you park on the pier, you'll pay for parking, but Claudio's has a 50% off coupon at the host stand. read more

We came here for lunch on a rainy day. They had all the walls up but tons of views of the water still. This place is very large and even on a weekday it was pretty crowded. Huge bar and TVs so I'm sure on the weekends this place gets very busy and fun. We had tacos. Kids quesadilla and a burger. It was all pretty good. It did take a while to grab the check but better than being rushed out. Worth the stop on your Greenport visit. read more

Never once have I had a great experience here after all the years I've come. The service is always slow. The food is good sometimes but not always. This last trip was a joke however... My friend and I wanted to stop in for a quick app and a drink each. We got seated and wanted to order a drink. My friend asked for a whiskey sour and the server said they don't have those on the menu. I asked- the bar doesn't have whiskey? I think he just didn't know what the drink was and was telling us they didn't have it. He asked the bar and they said they would make it and I got a simple bottle of corona. We also ordered baked clams to share. We kept waiting for our drinks, but they never came. Our food came, however. The clams were extremely tiny. Like unexpectedly tiny. We waited five more minutes for our drinks to arrive, but they never came and our server disappeared as well. We ate our clams and then sat for an additional 10 minutes and then finally I just put a 20 under the plate and we got up and left. The clams were $24 but I didn't even care at that point. The only thing I can recommend this place for is going there and sitting directly at the bar and only ordering drinks. read more

So I come here every summer and it's alway been nice lunch. This year, something has shifted. The prices have climbed to a ridiculous level. 30 dollars for Nachos with hardly any meat. Like it's chips. Stop it. I also asked if I could swap out fries for baked potato. Was told I can only swap for a salad. Fine. My nephew wanted to swap to sweet potato fries. Also no. We would have to order from the sides menu. The side menu items are 12 dollars each. 12 dollars for a plain baked potato ?'!?!?!! I'm sorry. That's just robbery. Maybe just a small upcharge to swap? Crazy. We won't be back. My Mahi Mahi Tacos were so soggy with wet Cole slaw that the taco fell apart. I told the waiter and he just said sorry and shrugged. We won't be back.
