First things first- the hostess had a really gnarly black eye, which really makes a bad first impression. I think it's ok to give someone the night off until they can cover something like that with makeup. We expected some bumps in the service since it is a newly opened place. I'm not really sure what to call it, my instinct is "sports bar," or "activities bar," or as my husband called it, "poor man's Dave & Buster's. The entire building looks great, as we peeked in the golf simulator area after we left the dining room. The outdoor space is well laid out, with the volleyball courts, horseshoe pit and pool tables all surrounding a really nice outdoor bar. Had we gone outside first, we would have stayed there, because the atmosphere is nicer than the dining room. Dining area is cavernous, thanks to the high ceilings and size of the space. The noise carries in a way that is reminiscent of a school cafeteria. There are dart boards and ping-pong tables set up on a very large wood floor area across from some high-top tables. We were constantly worrying that we were going to get a ping pong ball in our beer. The vibe is weird, mostly because there were a lot of kids running around (which I get... tons of games and they didn't seem to be charging for the table games inside, so a cheap way to entertain your little ones) but at the same time, you're in a bar... not the most relaxing place for adults. The servers all seem to be pretty young and green. Definitely the local high school grads who are waiting to start community college. Ours was extremely awkward and chatty, and after upselling me hard on onion rings with my order, she never put them in. She was very apologetic, but that's a pretty rookie mistake. The food was mostly edible, but disappointing even for bar food. My burger was extremely overcooked. The fries and the corned beef in the reuben are clearly from frozen. (Probably lots of other items are too.) The "thai cole slaw" was really horrible. It tasted like no Thai slaw I have ever had. I don't even know how to describe it, other than covered in black pepper and sesame seeds. Just gross! We planned to have a few drinks at this place but left after one beer because the whole experience just left us cold. We went straight to the Library, where you can always get great service from experienced servers. (They also have golf simulators now thanks to a partnership with a vendor in the same plaza.) Interesting concept, but unless they figure out the food and service process, this place will never last. 90 minutes for mediocre burgers and pizza. Forgotten order. Inept and clueless waitstaff. Lots of people simply standing around doing nothing. And bartenders who put their fingers inside water glasses you hand them to refill. The list goes on. Came in here last night and after standing at the bar to get a drink for ten minutes we finally got a waitresses attention... told us she would go grab the bartender so we could get some drinks. Comes back after five minutes and tells us the bartender is in the kitchen cooking but she could get us waters while we wait for him to be done. What? We walked out. We arrived early to meet friends, without a definite plan in mind, but very quickly decided that q foursome of golf might be fun, so why not. It was extremely busy everywhere and there was at least three large parties happening in different areas. We managed to find a seat at the bar and got served in a not unacceptable couple of minutes, however actually getting the drinks took significantly longer. At our allotted time we wandered round to the golfing area, and after a quick intro to the hardware, which covered most of the basics, we were off. The golfing are is well laid out and I was impressed. However, service was almost, non-existent, once orders were eventually taken, it took a long time to get our stuff, food came cold, got sent back because it was cold and came back only very mildly warmer. Once it got a little quieter we decided to try and entree, yup, not very good, not very warm, service still sucked. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We had a groupon for golf and food. The place looks cool and the staff was friendly and attentive. Our waiter could have checked on us more often. We would have gotten more drinks and dessert, if he would have come by sooner. The golf supposedly costs $35 to play. It was ok, but not worth that much. The food was horrible. We got calamari for an appetizer and it was a heaping, soggy mess. The Reuben's were ok. Plain and the fries were boring and typical. The menus we got were not what is on their website. When I asked where the menu was, the waiter stated that they were re-doing the menu and this was all they had. If the person cooking the new food is cooking this stuff, eat somewhere else first and come here to hang out and drink. They definitely need a better chef and more knowledgable wait staff. read more

This bar is HUGE. It's basically wide open but full of fun games to play. They have ping pong, which I dominate at, corn hole, which they call me eagle eye Zach due to my pin point accuracy , and golf simulators. I was there for the first time on Friday September 29th. I was rather disappointed by my whole experience. I now see why they have a low overall score on yelp. It all started when i walked into the place. The place is so big and they have no host person when you come in. I was not sure if I was supposed to seat myself or someone would greet me. The place was dead yet no one said hi or greeted me. I ended up siting at the bar only to be ignored by the bartender for nearly 10 minutes. It would be one thing if super busy but then were 3 people at the bar yet I could not get a drink. The young lady bartender I believe her name was Jenna finally took my drink order after ignoring me and talking to other workers for close to 10 minutes. The beer selection was good and the wings i ordered were pretty tasty. I just wish the service did not stink so bad. The thing that irritated me the most was the bartender and what looked like a manager who was wearing a suite but did not get his name seemed more focused on talking to each other and organizing Bar switching bottles around then talk to guest, serve guest or acknowledging that i existed. The food was very mediocre. It might cut it if you're starving while playing indoor golf. If you're looking for satisfying food and drinks this is not the place. My boyfriend asked for lime with his drink. They were so dry they shredded when squeezed. I had a bloody mary that came with a pickle and one olive inside. Not impressed. When we were placing our food order after looking over the menu we were then told they are out of chicken. Wish this was made clear when the menu was given. Fine place if you come before 7 PM. Mixed drinks and wine 1/2 price. A huge glass of wine for 3 bucks and a rum and coke for 2 dollars. Amazing. Dinner was typical bar food, mostly sandwiches and burgers. I did not try a pizza. I ordered the deep fried cod and fries, my wife had the Angus burger which was pretty good, hefty salads were excellent for 1.99 dollars. Best I have ever had at that price. Had a birthday party there. The service was terrible, but the manager realized and tried to make up for it. She definitely helped out a lot and gave us a couple free drinks due to it. Done with this place. Last 3 visits for simulator golf: - Waiter dumped a drink on my girlfriends jacket. Not a big deal except there was no apology. - Showed up for our tee time that I booked online and was told they didn't have the reservation. Hostess said yeah you should probably only book by phone there are problems with out website. Nice resolution. Why have online booking if it doesn't work? - Went yesterday and our screen was jumpy like there was a nonstop earthquake. I asked the host and he said "they all do that" and "it's the wind", meanwhile I've already looked at the other booths and none of the screens are doing what ours is, I mention this to him and that maybe they should move our group and his response was "well then I have to move all the other tee times". Went in with high hopes. Left with "not coming back here!" The building is huge and the ceilings are high so the sound is echoing off all the kids running around and ping pong balls flying. Not a great atmosphere for an adult night out at the bar. Outdoor Volleyball set up outside was very nice and that area seems to be a great attraction. The golf simulator area was laid out nice , but too pricey for me. Now the service - ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE! The waitress was so disinterested in our group that it was pit a full. She was in super slow motion , described the menu items (those that she even new) as just ok. She wore so much perfume that my food when it finally came after 45 minutes and the place was not even busy, tasted like her perfume. It was nauseating. She kept disappearing and when she would come back she looked like it was a bother and she just wanted to be left alone. I felt like I was on one of those Restaurant Impossible or Bar Rescue shows and that the host of the show would be coming out soon to let us know that changes were about to come! Food - Burger and Fries - not bad , average Fish and Chips (got onion rings instead of ff) Fish was ok - better than the waitress described it ( not sure why we even ordered it after her awful description of it) Onion rings were great. Coconut Shrimp - 8 pieces of good size shrimp , a bit greasy but the flavor was ok. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was definitely from a large GFS container. The Wings with Hot Sauce - Decent - but they did not come with blue cheese and celery which I have never been to a place that did not serve them with that. When I asked the hostess if they had any she looked at me like that was some obscure request that she had never hear of it going with wings and would try and find some. They did bring finally bring some out, but no celery. Now all this food was hard to eat at first because the oh so strong perfume smell was heavily lingering at our table. Would I come back? No probably not. I don't see this place being successful in the winter for the size of it. The Volleyball will work for the summer but Michigan winters last too long for a building of this size to make it with the poor service. read more

I went there the other night for the first time to watch the band power play. My waiter was too busy flirting with the women and ignoring the men at our table. Food was terrible. The gyro sliders were awful and that was not no tzadziki sauce. The hot wings were undercooked and they were dripping with sauce. Not a way to serve wings. I checked my credit card statement today and I have 2 charges on it. WTH? I put a call in and they told me the manager that handles that is not in yet..... ??? I can see why the place was empty now. I usually give a place a second try no matter what, but this will be a first and last for me. Also, I have been in the food service business over 30 years. My girlfriend, my daughter and her girlfriend, and I went up to On The Dunes on Saturday and we were taken back by the size of this place! It's enormous and filled with a bunch of fun stuff to do. They had an awesome band playing, and a huge dance floor. Drink prices were reasonable and delicious and our server was very friendly and was always there when we were ready for another round. Kind of bummed I didn't make it in this summer, I'd love to play on those beach volleyball courts! But I will definitely be going back! I'm going to take my son next month for his birthday to try out those golf simulators. He's going to love it! read more

This place is the worst. Here are some thing about it that suck: They have identity issues. They don't know what to be. Is it a bar, golf hangout, beach bar, volleyball area, or anything else. Why does it have a main bar area when only music that's clean and simi-kid-friendly is allowed? The staff sucks and is unreliable. All they do is sit and talk to each other. The place is not clean and equipment is damaged/broken. Food sucks. Here is an example of most of what I already said: So I go with a family member to go play ping ping pong. The table is uneven and the paddles are ripped and they just are awful. We go to the other table and it's the same thing. So we go to the bartender and she says "We only have one left" and hands us the ball. We play and the table and paddles are so awful that it's impossible to have fun. In conclusion this place sucks and no matter how nice it try's to be. I hate the place so much I really am tempted to make multiple accounts just to give this place one star. read more

The golf simulator was really nice, but the service at this place is awful. We moved tables 3 times within 15 minutes of arriving in order to get a waitress to serve us. The fowling was fun, but the footballs were torn up and made it hard to play. This place would have gotten more than 1 star if they would have treated us like customers. Went to dinner with my family and was so disappointed the food was so gross! Walked out looked and my husband and said nope never again. Ended up meeting friends for drinks only a week later and the service was just as bad as the food. So save your money go somewhere else.
