I really liked working with Lion Movers in such a tight deadline with upfront and transparent discussions. Although providing inventory list in their portal was very thorough and detailed (which is great) but they were flexible to get a ballpark of inventory rather than the time-consuming process of entering each item and their sizes one after the other in the portal. They also offered me providing my own moving materials which saved me a little bit. I provided everything from U-haul, or also can get them from U-haul or Home Depot or anywhere else. It is understood that moving is a costly activity, but if you can afford it -considering you will have many other costs aside from your move - with Lion Movers you will get what you need for your move for that price and in my opinion that is the money well spent. I am not in great health situation, and I wanted white glove service, and that was what I got for the price. Was it cheap? no. Was it competitively priced compared to others? yes! Am I getting paid to provide this review? absolutely not! I liked Justin's availability from the office, and Louis and Angel's leadership of moving crew and quality of service as well as honesty. So, for me, everything worked as a package and scratched one item less to worry about regarding my move. I hope you also get your move taken care of in such a way you can comfortably complete this stressful action. One other thing to mention is, English speaking was of a challenge but with Louis' help we got hold of communication fairly well. I chose Lion Movers on a last minute, gut decision because we needed someone to move us ASAP. I called on 1/9 for an estimate, then was able to finish the booking online the evening before (1/10) and confirm they received my request right away. In my request I needed to move my items (2 bedroom) from 2 UPack cubes at the facility to my apartment with 2ish flights of stairs. The estimated time was 3-4 hours and was quoted between $545 and $710. The estimated cost extremely reasonable and the final cost was almost less than the original estimate (without tip), which is SO awesome. Mind you, I had a few quotes from other companies in the $1000-$1,600 range (HARD pass). Outside of the hourly rate (included in the estimate), I had to pay was a travel fee, but only because I was more than 10 miles from the original destination, which is fair. Most places charge try to nickel and dime you, so I really appreciated that there was no gimmick's, surprises, or weird fees. I worked with Ricardo and his team and they were super kind, efficient, and straight forward. They were able to move my items from the storage facility to my apartment across town in 3 hours flat. I also really appreciated that they put a moving carpet on the floor so they wouldn't track mud on the floor (so smart!). 10 out of 10, would recommend. read more

This is a preliminary post. We are halfway through our move but so far it's been great. We used them last year to move to our current apartment and had a good experience so trying them out again now for our current move. Previously we asked for 3 guys but it took so long so this time we asked for 4. They were really fast and got us packed and moving out our stuff pretty quickly so I'd say it might end up being a saving having more guys. As I haven't used anyone else here for a move I can't say how they compare but these were pretty hassle-free. Small downpayment. The only thing is, I told them I wanted to use my own boxes but they started off using their own without asking. One guy finally asked so I said to use ours first. It ended up us needing them to use their boxes as well nonetheless. However I'd say prep as many empty boxes as you can - their boxes start from $2.75 for a small one! It racks up quickly. They didn't try to skimp on the transport and brought a huge truck and that was very efficient because they're loading our entire apartment into it and just doing one run to the new place. read more

Pao and Angel were awesome! The process was great from beginning to end, they were careful, efficient, and very fast. I have a rather large couch that didn't fit the elevator or first stairwell and I felt horrible. No problem, they got it up the third stairwell and in using some serious ingenuity with no complaints at all, love these guys and couldn't recommend them more!
