For a house of 6 bedrooms and 3-car garage they made it so much easier than I expected. A week before Sam came for an estimate. On the first day two ladies came and packed the whole house. On day two movers came with a huge 26' truck. They wrapped all my furniture, disassembled and put back my beds. They met me at the location on time and quickly, and efficiently, loaded the contents onto a truck and drove them to my place in N. Seattle. I used Rainy Day Movers for my 1bd/1ba move and this was the best moving experience I've ever had. The initial consultation call to see what I needed was super informative, they told me all the prices/add-ons upfront, and I had no surprises on the day of the move. They arrived right on time (and gave a courtesy call a half hour before), moved VERY quickly and dissembled, wrapped, and loaded everything so fast! They were super helpful and communication was always very clear. They assembled my furniture very quickly at my new place, helped me move things around how I liked it, and did a great job figuring things without me having to say much. I really appreciated how patient and calm they were (it was a very hectic day) and they navigated mostly everything on their own and I didn't really feel the stress of moving. There was even a moment where my leasing office informed them that they had to unload in 2 batches with the way the door was set up. In quick thinking, they suggested another way to unload so that everything was unloaded at once more quickly so that I wouldn't have to pay more since the clock was going. Really excellent movers. We've hired a few local people and have been disappointed despite the good reviews. We've hired rainy day movers twice now for a small job to move around some furniture within our home then a very large move of our whole house. There was no communication upfront aside from a contract and I think that resulted in us going from a planned 3 movers to 4 then to 5 which was fine. I got a call the night before to confirm and then a message that they were on their way. The foreman we had was excellent. I have never seen a group of people work so hard. They disassembled everything and reassembled. They were extremely careful not to damage anything or the house and pointed out if they found any damage, all of which existed already. We were also pretty behind where we wanted to be on packing with me being extremely sick for two weeks and in the hospital. They came in and packed up our whole kitchen and threw all of the random items and baby toys in boxes and brought it over. I'm sure that was annoying but it was such a life safer for me after being so sick with a baby and full time job. I really appreciate them and would never hire any other movers again. read more

They did an astounding job of packing and moving my whole 3 bedroom house in 2 days. First, the packing was done with amazing care. Everything was labeled by room and with some idea of what is in each box. I literally did nothing to prepare and they got everything packed. Nothing was damaged or left behind. Then the actual move day was organized and methodical. They were careful but efficient. That day took 14 hours but even in the last couple of hours they focused on the little details. For example, when they unloaded a table, they noticed it was wobbly. It has been wobbly for years but they pulled out their equipment and tightened the screws. It was solid as a rock. Lastly, they were all super nice. They were very considerate and friendly. They even asked permission to use the bathroom. Everything I asked for was done. They handled a lot when I wasn't around so I didn't feel like I had to watched everything. My dog even liked them and she's picky.
