Chicarron in green sauce with potatoes and beans
    Gabriel M.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really great as soon as we walked in, definitely a place for family or even a date night. The service itself was a little slow and I put it solely into the possibility of them being understaffed on Easter Sunday. Chips and salsa handed in the beginning were very good and the green salsa being the little more spicier than the red. The food itself took a bit to come to the table however it was all delicious! A bit of small portions of what I'm used to but it was all mouth watering for every bite that I took. Drinks are limited to Pepsi products and don't ask for sweet tea because you will be handed a Brisk. Overall great experience and food was fantastic

Ordered the chicken Alfredo but have to say it was just alright. The chicken tasted like it was premade then frozen. The Alfredo sauce lacked in the creamy texture and flavor. The broccoli mixed in was steamed but not thoroughly. The "garlic bread" was decent but charred. I know this isn't an Italian restaurant so it's understandable. The portion wasn't that filling either. The inside of the restaurant was nice with a dim setting. Overall, wasn't really satisfied with my order.

The good: drinks and service are amazing! This looks like a small insignificant spot but let me tell you it was yummy and they had live music. Really enjoyed it. We started with the Champiqueso.... Chorizo, mushroom and gooey cheese. (Fyi the being you chips and salsa before ordering) Unique exquisite and delicious. We also had the fajita enchiladas extra cheesy and the fajitas were cooked perfectly. Lastly we tried my favorite ultimate meal anywhere the tacos plancha and they did not disappoint. Fajitas, beans and cheese cooked to perfection. The bad: I failed to take pics of the amazing michelada! The ugly: we were so satisfied we did not have any dessert.

On the Grill is a special experience. Mario's staff is attentive & polite... it's like they welcome friends as you come in the door. The food is always fantastic! You taste the attention to detail in serving up authentic tastes every time. And the weekend brunch time music is a real treat! Go once & it won't be your last!

The chicken fajitas are excellent on the parillada. The fajitas and ribs are also really good. And they add a few grilled jalapeños with cheese on top to make it completely special. Their salsas are standard and the chips could be thinner but they are good for a quick table side crunch. I also tried their chicken soup, the veggies were excellent but the boiled chicken lacked flavor. The service is genuinely ok, could be better if they hired more staff.

The food is always delicious, and was one of my go-to spots when I want to introduce friends to something a little different. I especially loved dining on the patio when I bring my dog along. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors. What kept me coming back, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind and always make me feel welcome. It's such a nice feeling to be greeted warmly and recognized as a returning guest. I've even celebrated my birthday here, which says a lot about how much I enjoy this place. As a bonus, there's a vintage thrift shop upstairs that I always love browsing before or after my meal. It adds even more charm to the experience and makes every visit feel a little special. I highly recommend the pasta, it's absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a charming local spot with great food, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere, Birdie Bistro is definitely worth a visit.

I have been wanting to go to La Casa de la Abuela (Grandma's House) for a long time. Friends of…read moremine have raved about how good the food is. Well, they were right. La Casa de la Abuela covers every category for a delightful breakfast, brunch or lunch: a menu with great variety, quality delicious food, excellent service, a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere, good parking and a great location. My friend had the enchiladas suizas. I ordered the chilaquiles rojas con pollo. The menu warned that the salsa roja is spicy... and they are right. I like spicy, and this gave me the hiccups! Not to worry, they have several options, including mild ones. I was impressed with their molcajete of guacamole, the refreshing strawberry lemonade, the classy presentation of each dish. I almost ordered the chile relleno or the torta ahogada. I learned they make their own birote (a denser kind of bread roll) for the torta ahogadas, which is key for that dish hailing from Jalisco, which is smothered in salsa prior to serving. Everything I saw was spotless, elegant, and beautifully decorated. It's a new fave, and I will go back. When I do, I want to try one of their pastries: conchas, chocolate or strawberries and cream filled croissants, and more. This was a great place for a meet-up with a good friend. It would also be great for a date with my wife, a business lunch, or small groups. The dining room is not very big, so large groups would need to find another option. I highly recommend, Grandma's House!

It took a long time to be seated, and after we were seated, it was quite a while before our waiter even came to take our drink order. The food also took much longer than expected to arrive. Unfortunately, the food itself was not worth the wait. My entire plate was completely smothered in chipotle sauce, to the point that I couldn't even see the rice or vegetables underneath. The overwhelming amount of sauce made it difficult to enjoy the meal. The prices are also higher than I expected for the quality and service. Drinks cost $6.50 each and don't include free refills, which felt excessive. To make matters worse, the booth seating was very uncomfortable. The table supports underneath the table left very little legroom, making it difficult to sit comfortably throughout the meal. Overall, between the slow service, disappointing food, high prices, and uncomfortable seating, this was not a good dining experience, and I don't plan to return.

I'm a huge migas fan and never thought to try chilaquiles. This place did not disappoint. I added eggs, chorizo and avocado with half green and half red sauce. I was surprised to get each adding in an individual stack. I managed to get my egg yolk over the avocado and chorizo. The food was really good, just not what I expected. The flautas de papa were a great buy. Instead of using a corn or flour tortilla to mop up my plate, I was able to use the flauta and with the papa in it, they were like little sponges soaking up all the leftovers
