First I'll say I'm not even a big coffee drinker. I'm from the Dallas area and it is a must that I get my OTG fix when I visit San Antonio./ Seguin. There's something special about On the Grind coffee. They have fast service. You can actually taste the coffee in their drinks. This is for the new on the grind near H‑E‑B 337 : While ordering a drink with light ice, I received my $6 drink with over an inch+ of room on the top. I asked for them to fill it up only to be told they would have to charge me extra due to me asking for light ice, what????? Since when is this a thing? I will never go to a place that is so petty it calculates my drink based on the amount of ice cubes in the drink. That is crazy!!!! read more

I love on the grind, I've been going to this location for almost 6 years. The drinks are always good and cheap. The employees are also very friendly and nice. This drive thru is quick and convenient. The employees here are always friendly and helpful whenever you have questions on any drinks. They are also flexible with customizing drinks and making you have an amazing experience! This is on of my go-to coffee shops in NB. Be sure to stop by and grab a punch card too once you get 10 stamps, you get a free drink. Also don't forget to tip! I think the name was 6 shooter if I remember correctly? I would recommend this place if you're wanting something yummy. No longer a fan. I get a black Americano and have to get extra shots so it doesn't look like dirty water. Their quality has gone downhill big time. This morning I waited in line, had someone come out to take my order and when I got to the window had to wait even longer since they didn't have my order. I get my iced dirty Chai and my first sip is a mouthful of grounds. This has happened numerous times. It's disgusting and I don't like to chew my coffee. Most of the stores are amazing.. the one in Schertz 3900 FM 3009 has a lot to be desired. The workers are really friendly to the people they know and don't mind catching up with them while at the window when there are people in line waiting. I ordered the ripper thinking I would get white chocolate mocha and caramel..it literally tastes like watered down milk. My son got the grinder and it's okay I guess. I will not come back. Worst $11 spent..when I came to work I had a couple co workers try it and asked them to tell me what they tasted. They all said it tasted like milk. read more

When we first started going this place seemed ok, we live by the on on 46, NB. Seems like each trip was less satisfying, iced coffee but always warm even in ice!! The coffee is ok but I find the intrusive conversations to be unbearable. "What are you doing today?" "What about tomorrow?" "And what about the weekend?" Why does anyone need to know that unless you're planning on robbing my house? It's nosy and awkward. I know several people who pretend to be on their phones when they go through the line so they aren't forced to answer all the ridiculous questions. It's sad that young kids are being taught that this is the customer service people want and like. read more

On the grind? More like on the gross. It is the worst coffee joint I've ever been too. Everyone talks this place up but none of their drinks actually taste what is listed in the drink. All you can taste is chocolate and coffee. Matter of fact it also tastes like a greasy pizza. It is like they don't clean out their machines. Do yourself a favor and go to voodoo express. read more

This is probably the worst coffee I've ever had in my life. The "Sandlot" had no flavor it tasted watered down . The customer service there is great but I won't be returning due to the flavor of there coffee. I got a blended sandlot my husband and I were not impressed. So when I moved to Texas about four years ago, I had to say bye to many things from Hawaii. One of those things? Macadamia nut mocha. It wasn't until I started working at a nearby non profit that I came in contact with one in the lovely city of New Braunfels through a coffee run from the office. On The Grind calls their macadamia nut mocha "The Hawaiian." IT'S SO GOOD. If you enjoy a slightly nutty taste in your coffee, I highly recommend it AND GET THAT WHIP CREAM GOODNESS ON IT! YOU DESERVE IT QUEEN!! My second favorite drink is "The Grasshopper." Get this when it's a little warm outside. The minty-chocolatey goodness will surely be a refreshing treat. I usually ask for my drink to be blended, but you can have it iced and I believe even hot/warm. Their service is fast, the baristas are always super chill and awesome. It's a stand alone kiosk that you drive up to, so be warned there is no seating area. The location is not that far from the freeway (I35), so it's not much of a hassle to stop by to treat yourself if you're passing through. read more

I love love love the Universal City and the Seguin Ave in New Braunfels location (the one on the square) but the Walnut St location is HORRIBLE. I ordered the same drink that I always get and the same way-Big Tex blended extra thick (you don't add milk). This place acted like no problem. The drink I got was so thin so I gave it back and asked if they could redo. They took the drink back and then handed the same drink back. They started explaining why it wasn't thicker. At this point it was EVEN THINNER. I just took it back. When I drank it I didn't even get any icy part. Sooo disappointed! To top it off they weren't even nice or friendly. They acted as if they were going out of their way doing me a big favor by waiting on me. Bottom line skip this location. read more

Lots of 15 and 16 year old types working in these coffee box stands that are a Seattle knock off . Not sure if the owner knows but the kids are making additions to the coffee depending on the people they know .. I love, love, love On The Grind!! The coffee is never bitter (I drink it black with sugar, so I can tell!), and the service is outstanding! The kids that work there are learning and practicing great work ethics - and, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for just a cup of coffee!! And, don't worry if there is a line - they move you through quickly. The bonus is the punch card. Some days you get multiple punches so a free coffee is not far off! read more
