Hamburger with mushrooms and a side salad instead of fries
    Suzanne H.

I've been coming to this place for years because food and service has always been top notch. I really enjoy the breakfast options the most. But there was a special on my last stop that was a mushroom burger and I didn't expect much but the burger was excellent, great tasting even with the canned mushrooms that I believe they use. I truly recommend coming here for just about anything. My go to is usually an omelet with no homefries but the spinach with feta, so good. Now after trying a burger I may get more of them and you definitely can't go wrong with a turkey reuben. I've had the breakfast bowls and a chicken dish too and just about anything you get you will enjoy but like me will find your favs. Something definitely for everyone is on their big menu.

Never have I had a bad experience here. Prices are reasonable. Food is so yummy! The staff is so welcoming and kind. Being a customer even feels like you're apart of the family that's running the business. Of course, the only downside is having to use cash but thankfully there's an ATM! Even with that annoyance, it's truly a 5 star in my book

Food was amazing. Service was great. Definitely a do again before we leave!

Food was okay but the place is old. One great thing about this place is the price! You can have a nice breakfast for a cheap price.

The food and service are wonderful. There's a reason it's always so busy. Please give it a try. Their corn beef hash homemade is delicious.

Awesome local tavern with friendly staff and delicious eats!…read more I stopped in on a weekday for lunch and was immediately greeted by the bartender who was also the waitress for the whole place. Despite her being the only person up front, she warmly welcomed everyone and the service was great. I met a friend of mine who was craving wings so she ordered some hot wings and I got the Turkey Brie sandwich, which had turkey, brie cheese, apples and cranberry mayo on ciabatta bread with a side salad. The sandwich was delicious and piled high with turkey. My friend loved her wings too. Overall, the food was great as was the service. Definitely recommend!

I ordered this as takeout and just had to take a couple of bites in the car before going home to try it nice and warm. This kind of sandwich is hard to find. A special roll needs to be used for this called a kimmelweck roll. A kimmelweck (or kummelweck) roll is a crunchy, Kaiser-type bread roll topped with coarse salt and aromatic caraway seeds, primarily known for defining the Buffalo, New York, "beef on weck" sandwich. Originating from 19th-century German immigrant traditions, they are usually filled with roast beef and soaked in au jus. The sandwich was loaded with juicy flavorful roast beef. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good. It was served with tasty fries and two little cups of au jus. I would definitely order this again.

Located below Agency Building 4, it is in a small cafeteria that shares a community dining room with a Subway. Most places that move in here don't last long, either starting here as a stepping stone and later going to a more visible location in the ESP or outside via a food tent. This place opened in March, and I suspect that they will stay only until a spot opens upstairs. Their pizza looked fantastic. Not just because it was next to a Subways and Subways makes terrible pizza (did you remember that they made pizza?). And not just because it was lunch time and we were hungry. No, it looked good because it looked like real deal pizza and we were intrigued enough to return the next lunch time we could to order from it. We were told all 3-topping pizzas with drink are around $7, and they will custom make a pizza for you in about 6-8 minutes. They were probably 10" round pizza. The crust started off as honest-to-goodness dough, and it was puffy and crispy and tasty. The sauce was nice and acidic and plentiful which, combined with the amount of cheese they used turned it into a potentially sloppy pizza. However, I would take that over a dried out, sitting around pizza any day of the week. I ate mine with a fork and knife until the piece was safe to pick up without flopping. I had pepperoni on mine which made it greasy, and the box lined with paper didn't help it at all. Next time I might pick a more health conscience topping. My friends ordered cherry tomato & broccoli and pepperoni & onion & pepper pizzas and both thought that they were good. This wasn't the best pizza in the world, but it was plenty for one person. It certainly is better than Mazzones up on the plaza. I was safe on my diet knowing that most of the food here at the ESP was just average, but this has opened my eyes to greater things. I hope they succeed.

Traveling within about 5 minutes on the way to visit a good friend, and it happened to be right around lunch time, the opportunity finally came. It's a casual place, lots of 2 and 4 top tables, but what caught my eye when we went in was the cooler full of amazing side options. Then you look up and there's a beautiful oven and a dough station. This is looking great. We sat and ordered lamb kebab and doner kebab. A couple minutes later, a large (~11x17?) wooden tray appeared with a piping hot lavash bread and a plate of dill yogurt sauce. If the meal had stopped there, I would have been a happy camper. We had just had a few pieces when the kebab arrived, each with a pepper, tomato, some red cabbage, and onion. Both meats were authentic and delicious. My favorite way to eat my doner was with a bit of the bread, a bit of the dill sauce, some onion and cabbage, and a bunch of meat - a mini gyro, if you will. We took away about 1/3 of the generous portions and ordered a large mixed plate (all 10 of the sides) and baklava to take to our friend. It's a bit of a drive for us, but any time we're anywhere close, we're going to be back for sit down (if it's mealtime) or takeaway if it's not. I highly recommend you do the same.

The place feels much more modern and inviting now. Our family especially enjoys the beyti kebab, the güveç, and their pide. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but since their pide is very good, I imagine the pizza would also be solid. For me though, the real highlight at Alibaba is the mezze. In Turkish cuisine, grilled meats and kebabs are almost always enjoyed with a variety of mezze. They might technically be sides, but they're a big part of the whole experience. These days there are several Turkish kebab places in the area, but none of them offer a wide selection of fresh, house-made mezze like Alibaba does. At many places you're lucky if you find one or two options, often just a basic ezme. At Alibaba you'll find around ten different mezze and each one tastes distinct and freshly made. Every time I tell myself I'll just take a little... and somehow I end up filling a big mezze plate. Honestly, even when we grill at home, our motivation is picking up mezze from Alibaba to go with it. I'm not sure if it gets the credit it deserves, but don't skip the mezze here -- you'd be missing out. In fact, start with the mezze and figure out the rest later :))
