After an hour, my car went missing only for me to find out that it was towed away about two miles, not even that. I went to go pick up my car and after not being there for 5 minutes, I was charged not only the towing fee, but a storage fee of $20 and another fee for it being there "a day". The lady at the front that gave me attitude said that "if it goes past the gate, then it is considered a day". I paid $188 for a less than two mile, five minute trip. At 12:15 AM I walked back to my car, unnotofied of my car's removal. This is less than 30 minutes following the closing of the establishment in which has a bar and convenience store inside. I started panicking, thinking that my car was stolen. A few minutes later, my friend and I found a sign that said "Parking for Customers only." This would be an issue if it hadn't been that my friend and I had bought goods from the place (Midway Craft House), in which was one of the vendors in the plaza. I was the sober driver, and my vehicle was impounded by this company from a place in which I had conducted business with this night. Ethically this is an awful practice, also it states nowhere that once you step foot off the property that it would then become illegal. The sign states simply that these spots were for customers only. Upon calling the establishment at 12:20AM, I had a less than impressive experience with the person on the other end of the line. I learned that my car had just arrived after 5 minutes. My car was in park when it was towed, and now the front right tire is sagging. Upon arriving to the location, it was extremely hard to get in. My friend and I went down the side street next to the shop and did not see a car being unloaded. I then called the number so I could enter the gate. After a few minutes, I was allowed in. My friend with me was visibly upset, and I was actually angered too, but acted with the utmost respect. I even ordered my friend to step out because he was too angry. The person dealing with me gave me concise answers and definitely did not want to go 12 rounds with me this night, but his employee (or independent contractor) represented the company in a very discriminatory fashion. My angry friend was rudely ordered to leave the business by this unkind man, just after I had already instructed him to step outside. Toward the conclusion he made a remark to me about the cops being around, threatening "You better hurry up and get out of here before the cops roll around. They're all over the place here. I bet both of you have been drinking." Here's the worst part about it, what I had bought from Midway Craft House was a case of beer for the house after getting home safe. I was the sober driver. Anyway, I was charged $188.30 for the unlawful tow. Within 21 minutes of their documented time, I had found my car missing and picked it up. I was charged approximately $600/hour of towing expenses from a place where I had followed the rules. On the paperwork, it lists a reporting agency's name of DPD and the name of Duty Officer, rather than an actual officer's name. There is no proof by a law officer that there was a violation committed, and the times that were listed appear to be very suspect. From time dispatched (0015) to time finished (0030) was exactly 15 minutes. To leave the impound yard, load my car onto the truck, transport the car, and unload the vehicle in 15 minutes would state a lack of care for personal property, and now I have a flat tire on that vehicle. The people involved with this tow are Driver #3 RT 32393 with Truck #3 T1927F. The employees of the company would not give me their names or the Duty Officer name who was not even present for the tow. For the record, my friend and I arrived to the cars parking spot between 12:15AM and 12:16AM and there was not a tow truck in sight. read more

These people towed multiple cars parked at a closed jack in the box near UNT & claimed nobody called them to do so - they just took it upon themselves to tow a bunch of poor college kids from a lot for a place that hasn't been open in two years. & the nerve they had to explain that "the new jack in the box employees" need to be able to get inside & they need parking spots as if the "now hiring sign" hasn't been up for 6+ months? there are no new employees. y'all are just lowlife scumbags looking to make a quick buck off of poor kids. the worst kind of people ever read more

Who cursed at me the entire time, then, when I explained that what they were doing was illegal the owner started screaming at me, threatening me, and throwing things around. SEXUAL HARASSMENT BEWARE My male cousin just got towed from a parking lot off of fry. The lot said it was for patrons only (for Drunchies, Viet Bites, Midway Crafthouse, Sushi Cafe, etc), he went to go grab something from Midway which had a lit open sign to find that the doors were locked, so he walked across the street to Insomnia to grab a snack. Midway's online hours said it would close at 1am. He came back to his car less than ten minutes later to find it gone. According to life360, he left his car at 12:35am and came back at 12:44am. I took him to the towing place where the staff tried to argue that the car sat there for 30 minutes and that we had to be IN an establishment not to be towed. This was false and my cousin had receipts. There was also a vicious guard dog. They said even stepping outside the establishment for a minute is enough cause to tow. We tried to respectfully explain the situation over and over again and were ignored. The lady at the desk wouldn't speak to me because I "did not own the car." Like a child. I would say something right in front of her and my cousin would repeat my sentence word for word because SHE was being so petty that she was ignoring my presence. We know someone who knows the owner of Midway and even asked if the owner allowed us to have permission to park there, would there still be a fee, and they made up some rule about visitors passes that don't exist. We tried to respectfully talk to the driver as well, and he said he knew for sure our car was there for well over 30 minutes when we had receipts saying otherwise. So much more happened, but then when we finally paid for the car, a tow truck was blocking it in, and my cousin and the driver got into it. The driver made disgusting comments about "running a train on me and tag teaming me." For those of you who don't know, running a train and tag teaming means to take turns fornicating a woman with other men. I am so disgusted that an older man would say something so provocative about me to my cousin. As a woman it's already difficult to feel safe and now I feel even worse. I am so shaken by all of this and so upset. I have no idea what can be done but Denton has a huge predatory towing issue and clearly a sexual harrassment problem. UPDATE: I also forgot to mention that the driver threatened my cousin. He insinuated that he wanted to beat him up. He said he would keep an eye out for his car and would make him pay again and even would hold his car longer. Then the provocative comments were made. Also, last night after we found out the fee of the car, we stood in the lot discussing what we should do moneywise. The front desk lady came out and told us to pay or get off the lot. When we left the lot, we went to my car. I sat in my car while my cousin's friends were standing next to the driver passenger door. My cousin had three of his friends with him and I had given him a ride to the tow place. My cousin decides to go pay, but while he is in there paying a random older man comes up to us, next to the passenger side door with a hood on, and hands in his pockets creepily smiling at us. He was within four feet of us. He seemed up to no good. We were all so scared, he stood there and said nothing. It felt so suspicious because his hands were deep in his pockets and he was staring saying nothing. He was so close to the boys that if they reached out their hands, they could touch him. I mustered up the courage to tell him, "No sir! No sir!" I don't even really know what I was saying no to, I was just so scared. My cousins friends scramble into the car, and for a moment the man stands there, and then walks away into the trees. The lady compromised our safety and didn't even care. ***After I posted this, the owner of the place called me and apologized about what his employee said. I appreciated the apology, but then he proceeded to say that he would only provide a refund ONLY if I took down this post and my yelp and google reviews, basically trying to bribe us. I can't believe that after everything we went through last night, he feels like he can create more stipulations. I feel like I have a right to post my experience and still deserve a refund, especially when my cousin was a victim of predatory towing.*** read more

Don't ask me how or why but I got 2 vehicles stuck in the mud at the same place at the same time... i made 2 calls.... one to the girlfriend and one to "On The Road Again Towing" After explaining my situation and that I was low on cash currently, the tow operator worked with me to find a price that we could both easily agree on to winch out both vehicles. One of which was a full size SUV! Their response time was fast and the work was done quickly and professionally. If I ever have an issue again where I need a tow service I know who I will call. If I could give this place zero stars I would. They do not heed to towers rights. I've come upon them as they were beginning to tow my car and had not hooked it up and despite it being my rights he continued to tow it. He offered a "cash only drop fee" (which is illegal- I was unaware at the time) and tried to convince me at the office that they only took cash. The following week a guest at my apartment complex was towed. Once again the man refused to allow credit card payment, and when I brought up that it violates my rights to not allow other forms of payment he claimed that the atm in the facility was a form of electronic payment and told me I should be lucky he didn't add on any fees. The people at this company should be reported as they take advantage of college students who are not aware of their rights and refuse to follow them even when called out. read more

Let it be known, this towing service is NOT closed, they are very much so open and stalking cars in lots as a predator would stalk it's prey. Towing cars even in a matter of 5 minutes, which was the time frame for which my car was left at Scott Brown apartments on Ave. A. I would like to inform everyone that interacting with these employees is a form of abuse, their customer service is poor on such monumental scales that I have no idea how they manage to run a towing service that is state regulated, maybe the state doesn't take heed to the endless complaints or maybe the towing company simply doesn't care enough to address the problems. For $218.30 my car was returned to me with a large scratch on the back by the license plate, of which was not there before prior to the towing and which was not noted in the receipt I was given, which took note of all the damages already in place on my (rather old) vehicle. But despite this, I know my car and I know when it has been damaged. So unless you want to be degraded and potentially have your car damaged I suggest you avoid parking anywhere where these vultures are in charge of towing. read more

Getting your car towed sucks...trust me, I get it. However, there is a difference between this company and the other crummy tow companies that are unprofessional and rude that drive broke down looking tow trucks and most always break your car in the process of towing your car unbeknownst to you while you are eating lunch with your family. I recently moved into a new apartment and didn't park in the right parking place, I was of course irritated and very expressive about being towed. The owner happened to be there while I was there to retrieve my car and to my surprise he was extremely understanding and was even more pleasant when he found out I was an Army Veteran. Worst company for towing! They never tow in this complex. I have worked at Zen for over 5 years and they NEVER tow over here. I've seen their tow truck ONE time since August. I've gone to their lot too which doesn't even have enough room to tow all of the cars who park in my lot not to mention they've mistakenly towed my car and I was still required to pay. ABSOLUTELY WORST COMPANY! We were suppose to use an App to pay for our parking (which we did) We have just bought a new car and put "temp" in license plate area! There were no signs directing us on what we should do in the case that we have temporary license plates! They still made us pay to get our car out even when we had proof that we had payed to park it! Last night I parked my girlfriend's car in the parking garage at my apartment complex because of severe weather. I left a note on her windshield stating the reason the car was there and my phone number to call if there was an issue. These greedy individuals ignored the note and towed the car anyways. I understand that towing companies around here make a living off of preying on unsuspecting college students but there is a little thing called discretion which these tow truck operators clearly have no concept of. It was obvious why the car was parked in the garage. They argued with her about whether the spot was a legal parking spot even though it's clearly okay to park there. They did release the vehicle after she spoke with them in her office without charge but it ended up wasting almost 2 hours of her time .
