I had 2 people at a conference and 2 people on vacation, so there was no way for me to be home during the day. I said I get home as early as 5:15 and as late as 5:30. Eddie was so great. We called On the Spot to just do a sweep of our new home and see if they saw anything concerning. Eddie was efficient, honest, and pleasant. He didn't try to upsell us at all, even though there was definitely opportunity to do so. He gave us the suggestion of putting a dehumidifier in our basement to help prevent some crickets and that was it. Didn't try to sell me on any products from their company. The consultation was far more reasonably priced than other competitors I called, who even on the first phone call were trying to get me to subscribe to membership services even though they knew we didn't have a pervasive problem. I have a quarterly pest service plan with these guys and very satisfied. Reasonable pricing for this service. I have moderate insect and mice issues inside my house, and they have performed both proactive and reactive measures indoors and outdoors to address these issues. Although a few pests still make their way in (I don't believe any pest control company can truly eliminate 100%), it is now minimal. I had them come out about a year ago to get rid of spiders in the basement. I freak out at spiders so if they didnt do the job i would say. i have them come out monthly to spray outside and sometimes inside in the basement. I can quit anytime i am not locked into any contract. Bud was the first tech to treat the house and basement with spray and sticky pads which is great because you can see if the spraying is helping. We've also had them for carpenter bees, it takes a few times to treat. I think they are a amazing company from the girls that answer the phone to the techs..they come in do the job, answer questions and then email you when they leave what was done. Unfortunately, they charge a $75 for the estimate, where other companies give free estimates. I wanted to support a local business but after getting two other estimates, On the Spot's estimate for a one- time application (though guaranteed for a year) was almost twice as much as the others' ANNUAL plans (also guaranteed). The office staff that I scheduled my appointment with was very knowledgable, but the technician they sent out to do the work wasn't able to answer all my questions and I was uncertain of the safety or the effectiveness of the product they were using. When I spoke again to the office, they were able to answer all of my questions, but I do wish they had techs that knew more about their products and services. They charged less than another company I contacted and offered to remove the $75 fee for the inspection if I chose them to do the service, so I was happy with the price and haven't spotted any wasps or new hives since they came to treat the lawn. read more
