Don't take your watch here. This "watchmaker" doesn't know what he is doing. OR, perhaps he doesn't exist. Here's my story: I'm a watch collector with a good working knowledge of watches and movements. My collection contains all of what you would expect from Patek to Rolex, Tudor to Seiko. I know watches. My immigrant father passed away in January and I inherited the watch he came to America wearing. A 1969 Seiko of no value to anyone but me. It was running poorly, but running none-the-less. I wanted to have the movement overhauled and serviced to get the watch working to the best of the ability of its movement. I totally understand and specs of the movement and how well it's capable of functioning when new. I didn't expect it to reach those numbers. But I DID expect that it would run without stopping while wearing it and that it would hit reasonable amplitude numbers. My expectation is that this "watchmaker" would call me when the movement was disassembled for cleaning and tell me the parts that needed replacing. I got no such service. I never saw or spoke to the "watchmaker". I only spoke to his gen-Z son. He quoted me three-four weeks for a complete overhaul at $300. I gladly left the watch with him. After no call regarding condition of the movement or necessary replacement parts, I reached out and was told they needed another two weeks. I started getting a weird feeling that this is not a qualified "watchmaker". I did my research and found some articles that highlighted he was a Lebanese immigrant that learned his trade in his family's shop in the old country. I thought, well - maybe real world experience is better than schooling. I gave them the extra time. Still had to reach out when that time was up and magically "he just wrapped it up - but it needs a few days on our winder". Ok - I just want it done well, take your time. I get a call a week later and I'm told to come pick it up. Upon arrival I asked to have the watch placed on the timegrapher and I asked for the results. They did this and informed me that the amplitude was too low. I would have to leave it for the "watchmaker" for another week. I sighed and said "ok, I just want it done to the best of your ability and functioning to the best of its ability. It's my dead father's watch and the only thing I have to remember and by other than photographs. Please treat it like the heirloom it is." They agreed. After two weeks of no contact I had to reach out. Once again it was "finished" just needed a few days on the winder. At this point, I started to realize the reviews for this place were suspect. They would keep watches for a very long time and never communicate with their clients. A review stated they didn't log any of the work that was done or provide a synopsis of the service. Not a normal industry practice for Watchmakers. Legitimate Watchmakers will provide you with a printed serve description with warranty. When I told them I wanted this included, they agreed. What I got was a handwritten piece of paper that stated "complete overhaul, One year warranty". Completely unprofessional. When I went to pick it up, I was informed that the watch was running well but would only wind in one direction. This is a by directional rotor, watch. The fact that they gave me a watch back that only worked when rotating in one direction is absolutely a sign that the "watchmaker" is not real or not a qualified technician. Imagine going to pick your car up from a mechanic and you are told " You can only turn left, but it works otherwise". This is essentially what I was told. After some research, I realize that the rotor is jammed now. It was not jammed when I gave it them. Also, it's obvious that the low amplitude is a result of a worn out main spring. This should be replaced and they should have told me it was necessary. Long story short, this is not a qualified "watchmaker". This place is an absolute joke run by young slacker punks. I will be including photographs of my communication with them. They are not responsive and basically robbed me. read more

I dropped off my Omega Seamaster for repair in April 2024. The employee behind the counter assured me that this business was an official Omega service center. That turned out not to be true. For months I waited for information on the repair of my watch only to be told that they were waiting for parts. The owner told me that the parts. After several more weeks, the owner said the parts were not available. The communication from this business was horrible. They would tell me they were gonna call me back and they never did. I had to keep calling them. Finally out of frustration I told them to forget it. I was gonna pick the watch up which I did in January 2025. and I took it to an Omega boutique in Tampa, Florida. The Omega boutique advised me that I will have the watch back in first class condition in six weeks. Don't be misled by this business. read more

Ben at Plymouth On Time watch immediately troubleshot my watch and recommended replacement of the old 1980 mechanism. I ask if he was sure the mechanism was old and he assured me it was. I was concerned since a Toledo watch repair (Fixology) spent 6 weeks failing to repair it and claiming that they finally replaced the mechanism and it still failed. This store is beautiful, I almost felt bad walking in with my cheap watches. Both watches needed batteries, and though it was a bit pricey (it's a Rolex shop in Plymouth, of course it's expensive), they guarantee the batteries for two years. I'll definitely be back. read more

There comes a time, when your watch either needs a new battery, tuneup, or a complete rebuild of the movement. In my case, one of my watches needed all of the above. I was told by several other watch repair places in the Metro Detroit area that the movement in my Invicta Pro Diver couldn't be repaired, and I would be better off just placing in a keepsake drawer or tossing it into the trash can. Since this watch had a lot of sentimental value, I wasn't about to just throw it away. At a local vintage auto show I ran into Nigel, who's a professional horologist where his specialty is the repair of antique pocket watches from around the world. He suggested that I check with "On Time Watch Experts" in Plymouth, as they are willing to tackle some of the most complex clock and watch repairs in the Detroit area. So I decided, what do I have loose!? I visited this place on my day off and Wael looked up the movement in my watch, and said I can order you a new one, but it will take a week or two to finish the repair. I told him I was in no hurry, and to take his time. In the meantime, I had him replace the leather bands on my backup watch with a nice new stainless band that is absolutely fantastic. Likewise, a new battery was installed as the old one was two years-old. Now I have two watches that are in great shape! I highly recommend "On Time Watch Experts" to anyone who needs a simple battery change, or a more complex repair like I did. Once in a great while, and if you are lucky, you run across an individual/company who takes extreme pride and dedication in what they do. On-Time Watch Repair in Bradenton Fl is one such company. Not only did both of my Rolexs look new the services performed were communicated, on time, and reasonably priced. I am very excited about the result. Experienced extremely unprofessional and rude treatment during a Rolex repair. Initially refused to accept a locally drawn cashier's check despite prior agreement with the owner, and refused to provide a proper receipt. I brought in my Rolex to be repaired and polished. We agreed to a price, and it was supposed to take around 10 days (or so) because a part had to be ordered. They gave me a claim check and then told me it would be a cash price. After two weeks went by, I decided to stop by the store to see how the repair was going. I spoke to the man who took initially checked in my watch and wrote the claim check (and appears to do some of the repairs) but he was not able to tell me the status of my repair. I asked if I could see the watch but he indicated it is in the safe. I left and called the owner who I spoke with when I first dropped off the watch. He had initially made contact with me with an offer to buy, but I decided I was going to have it repaired and keep it. I told him I was uncomfortable with my experience and wanted some feedback on the status my repair. He indicated the watch was done and I would be contacted by his son, Wael, to discuss picking it up. During this call I told the owner I would be paying via a cashier's check drawn on a local bank (name which I provided). The next day Wael called me and discussed payment options, which included credit card with a up charge, or a cash price. I indicated I would be paying the cash price via a cashier's check which he indicated was fine. I came in the following day, during the time frame Wael mentioned he'd be in the store. He was not in, so I had the watch presented by the man who originally took in my order. The quality of the polishing work looked good and the watch was repaired and functional. I presented a cashier's check for payment and the man immediately became hostile while telling me I had to pay in cash. I indicated I had spoken with the owner and the owner's son, both of whom I told I was bringing in this cashier's check for payment, and they had no objection to it. I was stunned and I indicated he must accept it as agreed to. He went on to complain that he has to work until 6 p.m. and the bank closes at 5 p.m., meaning he can't cash it before 5 pm. I told him that's not my problem and I'm paying for it as agreed. He rudely accepted my check but refused to provide receipt for the work. What repair shop does work and refuses to provide a receipt? I demanded a receipt but instead he offered to have me take a photograph, with my phone, of the envelope the watch was in. The envelope simply had some words including Rolex and a few repair codes on it. I was shocked, and I demanded a receipt with an explanation of the repairs. This is especially important since they provide a warranty for their work. The man pulled out a receipt book and simply wrote Rolex OH. That was his attempt at a receipt. I asked for an explanation and was told OH stood for overhaul. Once again I told him this is not acceptable and I want a properly presented receipt with all the information on it. He very angrily added some additional detail as to the repair and the word "polishing" under the word "Rolex". He would not fill out my information so I had to complete that portion on the receipt prior to leaving. I made a mistake doing business here. Next time I will chose a certified Rolex dealer. read more

I took it in to get the band tightened and maybe a new crystal and a week later ( on time, exactly what I was quoted ), I picked what can only be described as a "new watch"! I took my 45-50 year old Rolex in for a new stem which no one else would touch for less than $1100.00 and 8 to 12 weeks for the repair. Wael had it repaired in 3 days and did a complete cleaning and polishing and returned it to me looking better than new! All for less than everyone else wanted! This is the second time I used On Time Watch Experts. The first was for cracked glass case, and a simple battery replacement. Routine stuff, but I was impressed by Wael the Watchmaker's professionalism and watch knowledge. So when it was time to take my dad's vintage Lord Elgin in for a cleaning and tune up, I didn't hesitate to go to On Time. Wael did an outstanding job, including some delicate enamel replacement, and the watch looks and works fantastic! I am very pleased! It did take a bit longer than quoted, but I appreciated that Wael kept me informed as to the reasons, and did not rush the job. Highly recommend for any watch repair! read more

The actual work on my watch seemed okay, but the owner initially told me it would be ready in about 6 days. When I checked back in 8, he claimed he needed a part which had just come in, and it would take another 2 days to fix. I gave him 5, and when I arrived I had to wait for him to finish the job. Plus, despite having my cell #, I never received any notices or updates. Additionally, the outer surface and band of the watch could have used a good cleaning- would have been a nice touch if that had been done. The estimate for cleaning another watch was as much as the watch cost, $175 - I want to think about that. read more

Rude, slow, and unreliable I'm so disappointed. I brought in my dad's old watch because it got water inside. It's supposed to be water resistant. The guy (Wael) seemed nice enough. Wanted $250 to dry it out and clean it and make it functional. Ok. Then after two weeks I hadn't heard anything, so I dropped by the store twice during posted business hours and they were closed with no note on the door. Finally go there when someone is in, and they can't find it. Got a call a day or two later that it was ready. I picked it up and my "receipt" was the envelope they took the watch in with, and some indecipherable notes on it - the guy told me to keep it because it was my "warranty". The first time I washed my hands it got water inside again. So it took it back and told other guy (not Wael) it got water inside again. He says in a very condescending manner that it wasn't water resistant - without even looking at the watch. When I told him "water resistant" was printed on the back he replied "maybe 40 years ago" and rolled his eyes. He took it back and said he would look at it. My husband just picked it up for me, he told me they told him not to even get sweat on it, that it wasn't water resistant at all, with no explanation why (Wael had replaced gaskets - no reason in my mind it shouldn't be). Was told they replaced the crystal which now makes noise when touched and has a scratch on that wasn't there before. Horrible experience, way over priced, and you are treated like dirt. If I could get my money back I would. read more

My favorite watch was destroyed after taking it to a mall watch battery shop. On Time took it apart, found the problem, repaired it and added a few extra things for no charge. They are a small family business and I will shout their praises. Great job!! read more

Wael is the man if you want your Rolex cleaned. My grandfather was a jeweler and watch maker in Europe and then in New York. Moved his business to Cleveland because of failing health but I learned a few things from him. Wael knows the business inside and out. He can talk "watches" all day long.
