I called and didn't leave a message and they called right back to see if I needed help. I told them I would have two dogs which they appreciated me alerting them to. The only floor that is not was the 4th which was fine. The biggest bonus was that there was no extra pet fee which I thought was great! Place is newer and the rooms still smell new. They are very clean, well maintained and don't have the typical creepy bedspreads. For allowing pets, the rooms don't smell like pets. Dogs can be everywhere except the pool area and the breakfast area which makes sense. The girl checking us in was so helpful, friendly and genuinely outgoing. Very nice, brought us additional towels and was just a gem to talk to and make some recommendations. Pool is on the smaller side, but just fine for our child to jump in and splash. Heavily chlorinated, but clean. Very small towels. Some smaller tables in the area and chairs. Breakfast is grab and go and decent for what it is. Juice, to go oj, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, muffins. Better than your typical grab and go. Very nice hotel. Excellent rooms and exceptional staff. Would definitely stay again. None of that 300 room hotel just off the freeway nonsense here. Just 12 recently remodeled rooms with a balcony view of the Mississippi just across the street. Rooms have a mini-fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi with great speeds and a strong signal. Owners are the greatest. Check-in was a breeze. We had left a fan in the room for white noise at night (which we never used). Received a text shortly after that we had left it behind. When we returned, we got the backstory of 'Coco The Queen of the Mississippi' The Inn's rescue cat. The Queen graced us with a visit while sitting on our ground floor deck on a couple of occasions. As others have noted, there are freight trains that come through now and then. Which for me, a guy, is a plus and is pretty cool to watch. We both slept through it without trouble. No horn, loud bangs, sparking wheels or any of that movie sort of stuff.

What a great place to stay. Stayed in cabin 3, right in the middle of the cottages. A beautiful, tall tree gave us shade and such beauty.....we're from AZ and tall trees are somewhat uncommon. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. W bought food for the time there, but everything else was supplied. We had a family gathering there the Sunday before departure and everything was furnished to accommodate the crowd, even a crock pot for my bean and hamburger dish. Fishing was something my husband wanted to do, and he did with the time he had. There are several fishing spots nearby. He was happy to have caught a few fish. In addition, the staff was amazing to work with. Everyone was accommodating, helpful, and kind. We have a wonderful place to stay from now on.....no more cookie-cutter hotels for us!

I picked a lake on the map that looked to be about halfway and then relied on google to find me a place that was near the lake. Cozy Corner Cottages popped up. I reviewed their website and it seemed to be okay but I found very little in the form of actual guest feedback so I really wasn't sure what to expect and had set my mind to expect very little. We were very pleasantly surprised. When we drove up to the property it was nice to see that it was very clean and well-maintained. The cottages were really cute and each cottage had it's own little yard that included a firepit, a grill and a picnic table. The interior of the cottage was much more roomy than I expected. It was clean, well-stocked, nicely furnished and very comfortable. There was even a television with quite a few channel choices. The kitchen has a toaster, toaster oven, refrigerator, and two-burner stove with lots of cooking equipment. The bonus for this family is the well-maintained pool that is directly in front of the cabin. Our kids were in paradise the entire three day stay with the pool to themselves (highly likely with only five cabins). The pool was warm and had an abundance of great comfortable seating, umbrellas and fun pool floaties, rafts and toys. There is also a small playground right next to the pool. When we arrived there was nobody in the office but they left the cabin open and I checked-in later in the day. Melissa is an amazing host. She offered us all kinds of information on what to do and checked-in with us when she would see us out and about to make sure things were going well. The grounds as mentioned are very clean and well-maintained and the little lagoon near the property leading into the lake (although quite gnarly and not swimmable) was set up beautifully and made for a very relaxing place to sit. We took one of the boats out and although it is a bit of a trek (or paddle) to get to the lake it's doable and was a nice way to spend an afternoon. We spent a couple of nights roasting marshmallows and playing with their lawn games which you can borrow and set up near your cottage (ladder ball, cornhole, etc.) Although there were others in the four adjacent cabins we truly felt like we were alone and in our own little world. The place is relaxing, hospitable and very much like a home away from home. Highly recommend.

Everything in the room was so clean and tidy, it looks like there were recent updates perhaps? The king suite had plenty of space to lounge and spread out. Plenty of closet space and a large dresser for all your clothes. Lots of extra pillows and blankets as well. There are so many windows to let in a fresh breeze, and ceiling fans were a bonus. Outlets everywhere and alarm clocks have usb and charging outlets on them. Wifi is available and they will provide the password at check in. The kitchenette was small but functional with a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker(kcup style) and a small sink. The bathroom has a full size vanity and cabinets of clean towels and extras. There's a separate fish cleaning room on site which was a huge bonus. Some cutlery, storage bags, cutting boards and a sink for washing up. There's also a small chest freezer that can be used to store the cleaned fish if needed. I saw some gathering spaces outside- a fire pit with chairs around it and a patio with a grill, cooler and plenty of seating. Many rooms also has glider rocking chairs outside the door and I really enjoyed using those! My only complaint would be that there's no coat rack. Not entirely necessary but it rained all weekend and we ran out of chairs to hang all our gear for drying. Edit to add that we met one of the owners this morning, Julie, and she's as kind as can be! Had a nice long talk about the Inn and future plans. Also our room did not have a true kitchenette, I was mistaken. those rooms had already been booked. However the space we had was useful and far better than most hotels offer. Hopefully we can book one of the kitchenette rooms next spring!
