Sometimes she will need to check new customers in, take someone on a pony ride, or tend to an animal. Allow 2 - 2.5 hours to enjoy the property 2. Don't be afraid to interact with the animals. This city gal was terrified when chickens came to eat out of my hand but we ended up having a great time 3. Do leave a tip if you can. Cheri adopts older animals that would otherwise be euthanized. It's expensive and she is doing it all on her own! 4. It's a small property ran by a retiree. She keeps the animals in pens during open hours otherwise they are free to roam. It is a bit run down in places but I'm certain the animals don't mind! 5. When you arrive enter on the left side of the farm if you are looking at it from the road. Google will direct you incorrectly to the right side of the property but since it's a small farm not such a big deal!

I love that they have maps set up throughout, but every single one I stopped at had the "you are here" section scratched out. Not being from San Antonio, I couldn't orient myself. Overall it was a cute experience for the kids. They enjoyed it, especially seeing the stingrays and the small sharks up close. There was a nice variety of fish and sea life to look at, and enough unique exhibits to keep things interesting as you walk through. One thing to note is that it can get quite pricey once you start buying food for all the animal feeding stations, which are purchased in very small portions at each station using pre purchased tokens. That adds up quickly. They also have a small arcade area and spots where you can grab quick food and snacks, but nothing impressive. The aquarium itself is on the smaller side for the price you pay for the visit, and you get through the whole thing fairly quickly. I didn't find the aquarium really engaging and exciting and the value wasn't worth it. For that reason, it is probably not a place I would return to on my own, but I would go back if my kids asked to. For that reason, I would give this place 3 stars because it felt like we got through everything so quickly, and the price of the tickets didn't feel worth the value.

I would say they need to provide more disable parking options. Gorilla, Giraffes, Hippos, Crocodiles/Alligators, Rhinos, Black Bear, were the main attractions, especially with it being scorching hot! (I don't blame the other animals for not being out directly in the sun honestly) a plethora of exotic birds too! The gorilla was my favorite, the ones SA zoo has are super majestic looking and you get really great views of them too. It's easy to get around the zoo because there are a lot of signs that clearly tell you where to go, plus maps, and employees to assist. They have plenty of air conditioned areas and also water mist areas to get rehydrated and to take a break from the heat. They have a good number of eating stations to get something good to drink or eat. SA zoo gets a B+ for consistency and good number of animals!
