I would NOT recommend selling at this location. The few times I've gone, the store seems very unorganized both with merchandise and personnel. Even when the store isn't busy, you have to wait (and wait) for an employee to notice you. I've heard employees talking bad about customer items as they're sifting through bags, with no consideration that a shoppers can also hear them. On multiple occasions, the store chose not to notify me and "donated" my entire bag of items to themselves. So if you *must* sell with them, I would recommend not leaving the store and checking in with them every 30-45 minutes. You won't get that much value for anything you sell, but it's expected to only receive 1/3 of what they will eventually sell it for. read more

The outside is a bit scary, but the clothes are a plenty, usually a discount, 10% off off if you sell. The winner for me is it is Neatly organized clothing racks- so important! Reasonable prices esp for special items that you might need for vacay (ie sweaters and jackets) but not a lot here in FL. Lots of options for toys, shoes and basic kiddo needs. Also they pay you in the spot for consignment. Mostly baby to small youth, limited bigger kid options. Why buy full prince when you have places like this! read more

I absolutely love this location! As soon as you walk in it smells so clean. The have sizes from NB to Size Med youth for both boys & girls. Everything is very well organized by gender, size & color. I love Once Upon a Child at other locations....this one is not of the same caliber. They almost seem like you are bothering them if you sell and their staff is typically unhelpful and doesn't look like they want to be there...... todays example: today I arrived at 3pm (they close at 6pm). I have a moment alone without my 4 young kids so I brought the items in I'm selling which has been long on my to do list. The person behind the desk then said they couldn't take the clothes because the wait time to go through them is too long with them closing at 6pm and they tell me to come back tomorrow. That is frustrating in itself but even more frustrating is there that 1. They are open another three hours 2. There is a big sign outside the door advertising to come in if you are selling 3. There are a handful of employees behind the desk and they are doing nothing. Empty hands, looking around the store not helping anyone. Simply standing there. Come on guys. Even just an ounce more of customer service would go a long way. I will be going to the other locations but this one is a disappointment. read more

Wow, I was overwhelmed by all merchandise! All the clothes are sized, categorized by type and color. However, I went in looking for baby dolls and found exactly what I wanted. Of course I had to browse the clothing for my granddaughters and found an adorable long white dress in 4T for $6.50, perfect condition. I had to buy it. I will definitely be back! This store discriminates against people with legitimate health conditions. Those who cannot physically wear a mask are forced to leave. I will not support a business that is completely ignorant to the laws set in place that prohibit disability discrimination. The ADA requires "reasonable modifications" of policies, practices, or procedures, such as the face mask rule, when necessary to provide goods and services to individuals with disabilities. Looks like this will become a legal matter. A little advice for the manager: Maybe you should educate yourself on these legal matters before forcing a faithful customer to leave without grounds to do so. Great first time visit honestly, as I arrived I was greeted hello. The store was well organized and clean overall. I searched for zip sleepers and found a couple. I looked through their cardboard baby books and found plenty to choose from. As I checked out the lady talked to me about how to bring my own baby clothes in and enrolled me into the Expecting Moms Club and Rewards Membership. She then discounted my visited with my first time Moms Club reward. The sleepers were priced $2.50 a piece and my whole purchase was $3.00 total afterwards. I couldn't have left happier. Most baby clothes go for a buck or two. Sleepers $2-$3 and a huge selection for toddler clothing and adorable baby girl special occasion dresses. There's a section in the back for toys, and through out the store there were baby items. I notice two bassinets, and a couple walkers. As well as stationary toys. A great option for those looking to unload clothing as well as purchase on a friendly budget. read more

Staff is always polite, despite being very busy. Selection of clothes, toys, specialty items, such as ballet/tap, etc., are varied and usually in great shape. They do take your children's clothes to resell, but will not take any stained clothes or items they have enough in stock already. We brought items to be repurposed. Items that were on their website. Diaper pail, bath tub and they tell us -no we do not take those items. The only items they took were clothes with the tags still on them and toys never opened. So moral of the story I will never recommend this business for selling. Waited for 2 hours to be offered $11 for my gently used baby items. Which seemed like a lot for the few items they actually took. The reason they only earned one star however was that they didn't even give me all of my items back. I had to remind them that I brought in two strollers and a Bumbo. As someone helped me to my car, I noticed that I was also missing a bag. She went in to get it for me. Then as I was packing my car, I noticed two full boxes were missing as well. One of my friends recommended this store because they sell and buy gently used baby and kids items. Every item is sold at a very reasonable price. They sell used clothing, toys, shoes, books, and LOTS of baby items (such as clothes, pack n plays, swings, strollers, boppy pillows, nursing covers, and much much more) Also, during the holidays such as Halloween they will have Halloween costumes for sale for a good deal. The quality of the clothing are always in great condition and you can't beat the affordable prices. The prices range from $1.50-$6.00. They had a great Clearance sale today and I found some clothes for $1 each! My daughter loves to read and she was so excited to see the collections of books. They had a good deal where you buy 3 books and you get one free. The prices of the books she picked were around $1.50-$2.50, not bad when book stores sells them for over $6. This store has great customer service and the ladies are always friendly and helpful. They also offer a "Customer Appreciation card" a.k.a stamp card. For every $10 you buy or sell you will earn a stamp and once it's filled (20 stamps) you can get 15% your purchase. read more

I've shopped at Once Upon A Child before in another state and store. I was actually a regular at that particular site. And while I recognize each site is unique, there should be a standard that's consistent. I am giving the Wesley Chapel store 1 star. I rarely if ever write negative reviews and feel that it's harmful. But because this is a consignment business I feel honesty is best. I took 2 bags jam packed full of name brand boys 10-12 clothes. Much of it was new or only worn once. Name brands like a&f kids, abercrombie kids, gap kids, under armour. And all in good to excellent condition. That's why I chose to consign (or try to) rather than donate. Because my kid grew so quickly he didn't get to wear much of the clothing. One pair of Osh Kosh jeans were worn once and I know I paid at least $20 for them! I'll admit there may have been a few items I accidentally put in there while sorting and figured they wouldn't be accepted. That's understandable. So I go into the store and the young high school/college kid was rude. All staff there that day behaved like their job was keeping them from other better things they could be doing. While the gal looked through my clothes, I looked at the merch. Shoes had stains and dirt left on them, and the bigger sizes were few and far between and over priced. So I went to wait in my car since I didn't spot anything I needed. Came back in, rude again. The other gal working pulled a bin out, slammed it on the counter and offered me $18 for my clothes. I laughed and declined explaining the items were worth much more. Also knowing they'd sell those clothes for way way more than they were offering me! The young lady explained prices are all set and she has nothing to do with it. I let her know I totally understood, that it wasn't personal, and asked for my things back. She wadded up my clothes in a ball, ripped the sack I brought, and shoved the bags at me. She then turned around and began working on something else. No offer to help me since she ripped my bags and no apology for doing so. I don't have to concern myself with OUAC again as my baby is now wearing adult sizes. But my hopes is to help you avoid getting ripped off. Perhaps there are nicer cuter items for babies, thus the 1 star for benefit of the doubt for that. But as far as doing business with them, I wouldn't. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

I LOVE this place. I will always come here first when looking for clothes/shoes/toys for my toddler. I enjoy their selection more than the other locations and the staff is very friendly. I rarely buy anything there at full price unless I need something specific because they always have a great clearance section and seasonal sales. I have no sold any clothes to them yet, as this is my first child and we are hoping for a second, so I can not comment to that aspect of the business. read more

I've frequented this location many times and even sold clothes to them. Never had a problem until today. Today I went in to look for shoes for my growing 4 year old. I found 4 pair that I wanted and even found a pair of Shaq sneakers for $2.50. When I get to the cash register to check out the cashier apparently had a problem with the pair that were priced $2.50. She goes over to the manager and proceeds to whisper to her that she thinks the shoes are marked incorrectly and whatever else I couldn't really hear. Needless to say when she comes back to me she peels the sticker tag off and informs me that the shoes are $5.50 and not $2.50. Huh?? I'm sorry, how can you remove a tag that's clearly marked and tell me the shoes are priced wrong? Even if they are priced wrong you should be willing to honor the prices that your store clearly marked. I didn't like the way the lady was acting towards me, she was implying that I had switched the tags which of course I hadn't and then she tried to pursued me to swap out the pair that I was buying for $5.50 with the shoes she claimed were now $5.50 since I told her I was no longer interested in the shoes. No thank you lady! I'll take my hard earned coins somewhere else where my purchases aren't going to be scrutinized over prices that were clearly marked in your store. Called to confirm the store was still open for Memorial Day (which it was until 5pm). Parked took out ALL of my items for resale. Got inside the store and was told they were no longer processing items as it was after 4pm. Offered to leave my items with them to no avail. Loaded up all of my items/put them back in my SUV and looked down at my phone and it was 4:01 . Kindness goes a long way... I will NEVER try and resale another item here nor shop here ever again. Bought a halo bassinet ($125) and was reassured that it was in perfect condition- brought it home and the light was broken. Called to let them know and they said they knew it was broken and I could come exchange it. While the staff was very friendly and helpful I'm disappointed that I have to drive all the way back to exchange it and I wish they would've told me up front. I recommend asking to check any equipment to make sure it works if possible so you don't have to be inconvenienced. Otherwise their prices and staff are great. read more

I happened upon Once Upon a Child about a year ago and I'm so thankful I did. With three kids, two of which wear the same size, it would be easy for the clothing budget to get out of hand. I have been going to this store since they opened. I have found nice clothing pieces but have to dig to find one. The store is completely full and there is a lot of variety. The one complaint I have is when I dig through the clothes, I find things with holes and completely worn out. I get that things can be overlooked because so many people are bringing clothing in. In one visit I found many shirts for girls size 6 with holes. I have brought clothing in to sell and have been given almost everything back because they say it looks really worn. I know for a fact the clothing is in great shape. I don't understand why I'm being turned away if the clothing I'm bringing in is in a lot better shape then the ones on the shelves. My best advice is INSPECT THE CLOTHING extremely well for holes and other damage. read more

This is a great place to find slightly used children's items. However, I do have some problems with it. First of all, there are NO fitting rooms! If your child or yourself needs to try something on, you end up having to use the bathroom. The problem is that the restroom typically doesn't smell that great and is a bit dirty. Also, there's only one male and female one-stall bathroom, not multiple. Even more, the judging from the workers on what you sell is kind of ridiculous. For example, I have sold some items that have NEVER been worn or used, but they didn't take it because it was "worn too much." Seriously? And what makes it worse is that you will see toys in terrible condition and clothes with gross stains on them! Other than that, the store is a great idea, the workers are nice, and you can find name-brand clothes, toys, cribs, and other things for really cheap. For example, you can get an American Girl doll, which is typically over 100 dollars, for just 50 bucks! It's awesome and I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. read more

I've been coming to this location for a while now. I feel they have a wide selection and usually a lot of the same items. On this occasion I came to sell clothes back and they seemed over particular, pointing out specs of things on the clothes. Things you barely can see with the naked eye. I've never really had them be so picky in the past. I feel quite frustrated since many of the clothes in the store are overly loved or faded and were not scrutinized to this degree. The money back also seems low regarding the number of items I brought. Just know you won't ever get back what you think your clothes are worth but it's better than nothing. read more

I walked in, and waited 30 min for them to go through the large, comforter bag of clothes. They took about half the bag, and only paid me $18. Some were even Carter brand.
