I love this Walmart for specific items. I find a lot of discounted beauty products, arts and crafts, birthday/celebration cards, candles, some high end toiletries (for cheaper) and recently, puppy supplies, as we are brand new fur parents . We purchased a crate for crate training, a squeaky toy, pee pads, doggy ear wipes and gentle formula flea shampoo. We do our food shopping elsewhere, but I'm not opposed to grabbing snacks at Walmart for the beach. The parking lot if spacious and even when this Walmart is busy, it doesn't get overly packed. The wait for returns can sometimes be long, but that's the case with most customer care lines in big supermarkets. The bathrooms are always clean too! read more

I park and try to enter, but again they locked the doors on the right side of the store. Because of this inconvenience, I just drove home. My go to Walmart. It has most of the thing I need in great price. I like this Walmart in three different way. Grocery, daily use, and pharmacy. This is a super Walmart. So it has more items than regular Walmart. Start with grocery. They have bakery, fresh produce, deli, meat and seafood, frozen section and many more. Price is acceptable. I like the Parmesan chicken wing. This is my favorite in the deli section. I like the cream pop at the frozen section. They do have Ahi tuna grade fillet. It good for seared or sushi. Daily product includes clothing, sport items, electronic, art and craft, bicycle, jewelry, and more. I like the most is their eye glass center, you can get good pair of glass with lesser price with insurance cover. The pant and shock is my frequent item. The pharmacy has the beauty product I need, it also has my daily care product like tooth paste, shampoo and mouthwash. Well. They are definitely very convenient for me. read more

I went in for some Halloween things for my grandchildren. I had to use the self check out because only 3 registers were open. Lines were long everywhere as it is 6:30 on a Friday evening. I purchased multiple items of the same thing and suddenly the screen popped up "not a scannable item need associate assistance". A guy comes over resets and takes my picture a gives me an item count as thought I'm stealing! This store has no one in any departments. The fitting rooms had no one to unlock doors. Many waited over 15-20 minutes and no one ever showed up! This store is also dirty from the floors to the disgusting restrooms! We the customers are now doing the cashier's jobs while Walmart raises their prices! Rude associates who stand around and do nothing! One associate at each exit is checking receipts which causes a huge delay! If they don't trust us to do our own check out than they need to Re staff actual cashiers! The running theme with Walmart no matter where you shop is the service, or should I say the substandard lack of it or its consistency. I've been all over this country and I went from being followed around the store at a Walmart in Vermont to being completely ignored at a Walmart where I'm from in Maryland to getting exceptional service at the Walmart in Western Massachusetts where my wife is from to ranging service in states across the country and through the years. Fast forward to where we currently live in Tampa and my Walmart of choice has been the one on Bruce B. Downs Blvd in New Tampa because they've been pretty consistent over the course of the time that we've lived here, compared to Walmart stores near where we live and in other cities, towns and hamlets across Florida. Today we decided to do our grocery shopping at Walmart first before going to Publix. I think someone dropped a 'bad attitude bomb' in here. From the deli to the customer service department, the way they're treating people is Kay Krazy and it's like they don't even care. Blue shirts with badges walking around ignoring customers like they're being paid to. Man, I swear, if Walmart goes out of business it'll be a happy/sad day. To their credit, the garden department takes better care of their plants than most Walmarts I've seen. However, the chronic understaffing and reliance on mostly broken self-checkout machines detracts. A lot. If you want plants, go to the Home Depot or Lowes. If you want good food and easy checkout, go to Publix. If you need late-night groceries... well, Walmart is open 24 hours. read more

This is the second time walmart delivery has failed to deliver my groceries. Instead of contacting me, I had to contact them, and they informed me of my options: cancel my order (literally the food I need for the week as I'm a teacher) or POSSIBLY have my order delivered tomorrow (when I'm working and am not available). They AT LEAST could have offered me to pick up my groceries even though the pickup is closed. This isn't MY fault. It's Walmart who decided to hire a new company that REFUSES to pick up and deliver my orders. Tried pick up for the first time. 2 items were a half pound of cheese and half pound of ham. Both labeled as half pound but weighed less then a quarter pound. In the pouches were 7 slices of ham and about 10 slices of cheese. Complete rip off, called store, told me to call a different number, then nobody answered at that number. One of the dirtiest Walmarts I have ever been in. This is an on going theme for this one. Has been bad for quite some time. I gave it a few goes before giving up. Staff could not care less, couldn't find help if needed. We go elsewhere to get our needs now. A little saving on some items is not worth the time and effort. Wish I could put down zero. This is one of the "worst" stores in the area for customer service. I just called and tried to reach lawn and Garden. Rep answered the phone and said sure, I will transfer your call to them. Needless to say no one answered...so i get transferred back to operator. Again, she tells me I will reconnect you. Again, no answer. The call is transferred back to operator or service associate and I get music. Service at this particular store is substandard at best. It's not the first time I have called and been ignored; and you wonder why people choose to go else where. No body wants to be put on hold and I believe the person working at Walmart feels the same way. It's nothing more frustrating than being put on ignore or not bothering to answer the phone. You know what, I may not matter--but my money does!!! I had to come back and update my review. The store is a total mess! They are "reorganizing" and the aisles at the back of the store no longer accommodate two carts. You literally have to turn and go the other direction, because it is impossible to pass. Nothing makes sense anymore as to location. And, the last three times I have purchased milk, the product has gone bad before the expiration date. This week, the milk, which is dated 12/13 for expiry, turned sour on 12/6. Last week I returned a packaged rice product, which had a date of 3/2022, and it contained green mold. It is simply not worth shopping at this store any longer. read more

As Walmart's go (which for the record, I loathe WM), this one isn't half bad. The aisles are clean and organized, for the most part, and the clientele could be way worse. I stay away as long as I can, but sometimes you HAVE to go to Wally World. Associates can be hard to find, checkout takes FOREVER, lines are long, but the price points are good and so is the selection. Parking lot is chaos. TIP: Checkout in the nursery, if you can. Since they have such a large range of products, it is hard for their selection of a particular item to be large, so sometimes I find specific items at a regular grocery store rather than here. Yes and No. This Walmart is much better than others in regards to parking and crowds. They have self checkout which can sometimes help. During busy times (weekends/holiday season) you can expect to stand in line forever and a day to check out. The store is better stocked than others I have been to, but beware of times when government payouts are given (this was something I was told by a head cashier and has proven to be true). Lines are long and shelves are bare because this is an economical place to buy groceries. However, groceries are fresh and the staff is always friendly. I'll continue to go back. read more

I would like to commend the Walmart staff, in particular the ones at the Tampa store #2740 (New Tampa) for their outstanding and essential work: since the beginning of the pandemic, due to our age, we have been avoiding getting into the store and order our groceries online. The Walmart team then pick the items, propose replacements when not available, bag them and bring them to our car at the set time. They are always friendly and efficient, no matter if is raining, hot, or cold. They are risking their health to provide us an excellent and so necessary service. THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE! read more

Its Wal-Mart...... And its an older one at that. I actually prefer, (when forced) to go to the newer one in Wesley Chapel. Its bigger, brighter, and cleaner.
