The main indoor bar is beautiful, but there's also a downstairs cellar with its own bar and a completely different vibe and then there's the outdoors areas. It took us a while to figure out how everything worked, but there's actually several options for food and drinks. You can order certain food from the indoor bar and bring it outside, then there's a separate sit-down menu for dining at a table indoors/on the patio, and then at 3 PM an outdoor shack opens with its own day-specific menu where you can also grab drinks to bring to any of the picnic tables. For dining outside there is a patio, but there's also picnic tables on the grass. I actually preferred the picnic tables. It made for a great environment to just hangout. They also have games like cornhole and frisbee golf, and live music. It was really a cool experience and it was only made better by the terrific weather. This place feels so polished without losing the relaxed brewery feel. And it's just that, first and foremost, a brewery. I love their Floatin' On By pilsner, but this time I had Oktoberfest, because, well, ''tis the season. And yes, it was GREAT. As far as the food it was a little better than good overall. I really enjoyed the Old Bay chips, the smoked wings were great, and so were the fries. The lobster roll wasn't anything extraordinary, but I hadn't had one in a long time and it definitely scratched that itch. Overall, this is just a really cool spot. Great beer, beautiful property, plenty of different places to hang out, live music, games, and solid food. It feels like somewhere you could easily spend a few hours rather than just stop in for a drink. Absolutely a must visit when in Cazenovia.

We had a tour of the…read moremaple syrup room and the brewing area and learned quite a bit about how Critz Farms started and evolved over the years. The owner told us about the Agro-tourism industry that connects people to farms, ranches for the purpose of recreation, education and direct sales. Critz operates all year round with activities and events for all the seasons. Christmas trees, maple syrup, pumpkin picking, apples, kids areas, rides in a wagon and so much more. We had a very good time in the tap room doing a tasting of several of their hard ciders. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and we even got to meet the beautiful dog Watson. I'm looking forward to coming back with the whole family.
