Again, my toddlers certainly did not mind any of these changes but sure how well it would hold an older child's attention.

No one could produce a dress code that said showing your bully button or midriff would result in you being told to 'cover up' and humiliated. I cancelled my membership on the spot. Someone from the Y did reach out to me afterwards... not to apologize but to defend their right to pick and choose what is 'acceptable' attire and what is not. Unreal. Women in EVERY GYM will show midriff from time to time. And so what??? If men can show nipples or wear no shirt at all, what is the problem? Misogyny at its finest. Btw, people who were around me when I was approached and told to cover up were absolutely in shock... I had on sweatpants and a workout tank top with my belly button showing and was more covered up than they were. They didn't get it, either.

Nilsson my son really loved getting in the pool and learning a few things! They did songs, and taught them some safety things, and did some swimming and jumping in the pool all by themselves! He liked the jumping into the pool best I think! Parents are in the pool with the kids and its a really fun half hour class that always ends with some free swimming! Locker rooms are super nice by the pool and they have swimsuit dryers which I had never seen before! This cost is extra, but you can take these classes even without a membership! Good stuff!

Why buy local? Over a year ago I purchased new pedals at Bike World. I took them home to install…read more I made a dumb mistake and messed up the threads. Mad at myself I put off getting this fixed. I punishing myself by riding an old bike and admiring my good bike hanging on the wall as a trophy of my mistake. Today I did the walk of shame to the store and confessed my mistake. I expected to leave my bike for a few weeks and to pay for new parts. What I got at the service counter was a knowing smile, a hey let's see what we can do, and a glimmer of hope. 10 minutes later with the proper tools and expertise I walked out the door with the problem solved. If your riding in Des Moines this weekend look for me. I'll be the happiest guy on the trail.

Tune-up done last month, was able to ride the bike when the temps were up last week. Shifting was all over the place; chain skipping in low gears. I didn't have that problem before I took the bike in. Since the tune-up was free, the bike must have been given to a novice 'mechanic' who didn't know what he was doing.
