Found Stanford Fine Art thru an online search for museums. It's not a museum but a pretty nice shop dealing in fine arts. Large variety of paintings, sculptures, furniture, etc. The owner (Stan) was very friendly and informative. He showed several pieces and told us about the artists. This would be a great store to pick up a couple of "show" pieces. Interior designers and collectors surely flock here for high quality unique items. It was fun for us to look and speak with Stan. There are also two good antique and collectible shops next door. It is worth the visit if you are in the area.

I went to The Beveled Edge to frame five watercolors I painted. Wanted them mounted to foamcore and…read moreto be floating in a shadowbox. When I picked up the completed frame I was unhappy that the watercolors were mounted using only corner adhesive so the edges were rippled. They explained how they treat clients' submissions with minimal adhesive to protect the valuable artwork. I told them these were only valuable to me as this is a "vanity project." Without additional charge they redid the job. I picked it up today and am thrilled by the outcome. Thank you Beveled Edge.

Murphy specifically is gifted with the art form of framing, she always listens to what I'm saying but then delicately pulls me away from my comfort zone. In the end, whatever she's suggested looks perfect. They're also fairly quick at turnaround and they understand the importance of significant, historic pieces. Each thing I've had framed....and we're probably talking more than 20 pieces in the past ten years....gets treated as if it's the original Declaration of Independence.

Its related because when he thaws he believes he went far into the future because the store now sold Moon Pies... Everyone should get out there and try this unique art form, whether you feel like you're a creative or not! A friend and I booked small rug classes for a Sunday evening, and arrived a few minutes early to find we were sharing the space with just two other pairs. Casey (part-owner and tufting extraordinaire) led us through the entire tufting process, from design selection to mastering the tufting gun and cutting out and shaving the finished rug. I went with a tomato pattern, and had so much fun picking out what colors I wanted to use from their massive yarn wall. The actual tufting is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it ... it's just finding the right pressure to make the power tool do what you want them to do. This could absolutely be a fun solo activity, but I do recommend going with a partner or a friend for your first visit. It's fun to cheer each other on and watch how each other's projects are coming to life. I've hung my creation on the wall in my kitchen, and cannot wait to come back again soon and do an even larger pattern next time. I also might want to buy my own tufting gear? Like I said, I'm obsessed, and you should be too!
