Alba has been with us from the start, she's always on top of communication answering all of our questions and concerns. Pete and Ruben are the friendliest grounds keepers and always will help with anything. These apartments are very well maintained, professionally cleaned and sanitized before move in and move out. It's very modern and roomy. Should anything need immediate maintenance they have onsite maintenance there 24/7. That also means if someone trips an alarm or something by accident you won't hear it for hours. Its a very nice gated community with surveillance cameras everywhere and on site patrol at night. The heating and a/c are top notch as well as all the other appliances. We rarely ran into issues but if we did it was fixed super fast. The staff have special events every so often for children as well as free pizza or raffles to win things like full thanksgiving meals, etc. Parking is great theres plenty for cars needing charging stations or cover. The amazon package hub and mail are very secure, easy to use. We had two dogs and it was easy to get them to the designated dog pen. Its all kept very clean! There are so many amazing places nearby to eat and the bay is just up the street! If you're nervous to apply like we were because we had a lot going on at the time that sounded complicated to explain, just try! The staff are very understanding and will try to help you succeed. We are very thankful for the chance we had. There really isn't anything negative to report, we loved this apartment and they were always fair never asking for large increases in rent renewals. They also give plenty of advance notice for fire alarm testing, main hallway carpet cleaning, elevator maintenance, and any in unit quick inspections for yearly fire sprinkler upkeep that is just fast in and out look. Again, I highly recommend living here, it was an easy 3 yrs and we were very comfortable here.

They are all very friendly, professional, and hardworking; they have also gone out of their way to help me a few times which was so nice! The grounds are always kept clean, it's secure and quiet. There is also roaming security at night which is a bonus. The apartments are beautiful and it's really nice to be able to enjoy a pool, jacuzzi, gym, and clubhouse. I was initially asked to provide additional command verification beyond my husband's official PCS orders, a substantial lease break fee was added to my account while the matter was still under review, and I spent several days trying to resolve concerns about autopay and my account balance during an already stressful PCS. I hope this experience leads to clearer internal procedures for future military families. No servicemember or spouse should have to worry about an erroneous lease break fee or uncertainty over whether their SCRA documentation will be accepted while preparing for a military move. I'm updating my review because I believe in giving credit when a business ultimately makes things right. However, I also believe prospective residents, especially military families, deserve to understand what my experience was from start to finish. I am leaving my original review below because the process itself was unnecessarily stressful. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future military families exercising their rights under the SCRA. Original Review: As a military family, I wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect. We submitted our written notice to vacate along with official PCS orders to terminate our lease under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Despite already providing official military orders, we were initially asked to provide a command email for additional verification. After I explained that the SCRA requires written notice and military orders or, alternatively, a commanding officer's letter. I was told the matter would be escalated to management. While management was reviewing the issue, a lease cancellation fee of over $4,300 was posted to our resident account, creating concern because our autopay is configured to pay the full account balance automatically. Although the office later advised that the fee was under review, it was never clearly explained how the account would be handled while that review was pending. I was also told that management would contact me by 5:30 p.m. When no one called, I contacted the after-hours line to ask for a status update and to understand why I hadn't received the promised callback. During that conversation, the representative disconnected the call. When I called back, the second call was also disconnected before my question could be addressed. My hope is that management resolves this appropriately. However, I encourage other military families to familiarize themselves with their rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, maintain copies of all correspondence, and document every interaction throughout the lease termination process.

During our interaction, she provided limited information regarding the available units and made several negative comments about the property. For example, rather than focusing on the available apartments and their features, she emphasized that only one vehicle could be parked on-site and that any additional vehicle would need to be parked off-site. Connie also appeared reluctant to show us any available units and instead offered to show us photographs. Since the available units and photographs were already accessible online, I found this approach unhelpful and expected a more informative in-person tour. Overall, I found the interaction to be unprofessional with poor communication skills. Connie did not appear knowledgeable about the property or the available units, and her overall demeanor made us feel as though she was discouraging us from renting at the property. Due to the experience, we ultimately decided to leave without viewing any units.

We're so glad that we chose Westmont. My parents enjoyed a clean and welcoming environment, onsite medical care and physical therapy, and programs that promoted mental stimulation and social interaction. Most importantly, Westmont's caregivers treated my parents (as well as my wife and me) like members of their own family. My Mom would regularly tell me about how nice her caregivers were to her. She gave perhaps the best endorsement of all. Whenever we would return from an outing together, as we entered the Westmont parking lot, she would smile and say, "Home sweet home!"

Two maintenance men since then have promised me clean windows and screens. A month ago I complained to the new manager. The people who promised to clean windows no longer work for Essex. She refused to honor their promises. She said if she did my windows she'd have to clean everyone's windows (quoted housing regulations.). She said the people weren't authorized to promise me clean windows. She refused to stand behind her employees promises. I forwarded a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I've heard nothing from them in regards to my complaint. As an Administrator I have stood behind my employees even when they were wrong and then retrained them so errors were not repeated. Poor Management ! Essex/Pinnacle needs retraining and renter appeasement and satisfaction.
