Wish I could give zero stars. When parking in the garage, the parking app would not let me go over 2 hours. I was not able to ask for anymore time after that. I paid everything I was charged for. No where in or around the garage does it specify a two hour limit. Vangaurd sent me a ticket in the mail asking for an obscene mount of $90.10. There is no attendant there to help int he garage. read more

DO NOT PARK HERE unless you want to receive a bill for & $58 for nonpayment. The instructions in the garage indicate you can use 4 apps to pay. We used Park Mobile and were only permitted to add 2 hours of parking. Typically, a notice comes through the app asking to add more hours, but no notice came. Given we arrived at 6:25 PM and paid for 2 hours, we assumed parking was free after 8 PM. Then we got the notice from Vanguard Parking Solutions for unpaid parking. Complained to Vanguard and its representative was unhelpful. I will complain to City of Annapolis about this situation read more

Same thing. We used one of the apps to pay for 2 hours of parking, got a $90 bill in the mail. Complete scam. No one onsite. Our notice claims the $90 is a discount if we pay fat. Full fee is listed as $125. There is nothing clear about the signage beyond what apps you can supposedly use to pay. read more

This is horrible place and DO NOT Park here: 275 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland. I am writing to dispute a parking ticket issued by Van guard Parking for $85. I parked at 275 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland. for only one hour and was shocked to receive such an excessive fee. The parking lot had no visible signage indicating that payment was required, no payment instructions, and no attendants present to provide guidance. As a first-time visitor to this lot, I had no way of knowing that parking fees applied, and I would have gladly paid the appropriate fee had I been properly informed. The $85 charge appears unreasonable and disproportionate for one hour of parking, especially given the complete lack of notification or clear parking policies. read more

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! They make it confusing to pay and then apply extremely high fees after the fact that conflict with the posted rates in the garage. This is completely taking advantage of locals trying to park and visit businesses in the area. They limit you to 2 hours without expiration notices on purpose so that they can send you a bill for an amount equal to 4 overnights ($58) when the garage posts $8 fee for after 5 pm. read more

Don't park here. If you do, you should know that the site is managed by an online "service provider" called Vanguard Parking Solutions. ANY ERROR on your part - including failing to pay in the first 15 minutes or mistyping your license plate - will get you a $90 bill in the mail with a 15 day timeline to pay. Here's what I wrote them: 1) The time limit (15 minutes to make a payment) isn't posted.2) There are multiple apps listed on the same garage; it isn't clear how to pay.3) There doesn't appear to be a cross-reference for obvious errors like mine. I mistyped my licence plate by a single digit, and no one caught the mistake even though the time stamp and the first five digits would have made this super easy.4) The bill for a mistake or failure to pay is $90, when it costs less than $8 to park. It's a predatory price, no matter what the process is, but ...5) The bill for a mistake or failure to pay comes with a very short timeline and no directions for how to rectify the error.6) The web page to pay has a small, difficult to find place to provide proof of payment.7) Finally, the admonition to "look at receipts" is fine - I save them in two places - but this isn't something I should have to spend time on. It should be something that got noticed and fixed on the Vanguard end BEFORE I got a bill for $90 with a bunch of threatening language on it. As an example, if one drives through a toll booth and the transponder doesn't work, the notice/bill is very clear - "If there's an error and you tried to pay, just sent your transponder # in and we fix it." No nasty threats, no big bills, and nobody leaves the process feeling bad. This process is the total opposite. read more

Read all the other reviews. Despite paying I also got the $80 fine. As others have said, the process to pay is unclear. Vanguard operates a predatory system. This is also an indictment on the City of Annapolis where every garage has a different management company and payment system. FAIL read more

DO NOT PARK HERE. This a parking scam. I paid for 2 hours of parking (less than$6) with the QR code on my phone. We ended up staying for 2:58 and received a bill in the mail for $85, reduced to $58 if I paid within a few days. $58 for an extra 58 minutes is predatory. They also threaten you with a collection agency. I will never use a garage with Vanguard parking again. This should be a zero star review. read more
