The new garage is in the same location as the old garage and it is nestled between Duke of Gloucester Street and Main Street although the official address is 150 Gorman Street. Gone are the days of rusted out staircases and feisty parking attendants. The new garage has more parking spaces including spots with electric charging stations. Payment is now done through the Premiere Parking app or through a kiosk. Thankfully the days of backups at the exit waiting to pay or fighting the ticket machine are done. Originally tearing down the old garage and rebuilding the new garage was estimated to take about 16 months but Annapolis got it done in about 13 months. "I attempted to access the payment portal multiple times when arriving and leaving the garage on the 7th without success. Before I left with my party, I also tried to find an attendant or ANYONE that could help prior to exiting. Again, no help was available. I was fully willing to pay the fee, but was deterred by multiple garage management systems. I frankly do not know how this is better for Annapolis denizens or visitors, seems more like a way for the Gott Company and the City to reduce labor costs again at the expense of the tax payer. The very next morning, my friend and I were again in Annapolis and parked in a garage further up West Street, she had to hit the portal over and over again to finally make a payment. We wasted 15 minutes dealing with the silly portal, do we get a refund for that time? Technology is great, IF it consistently works. I would hope that the City of Annapolis will collect the correct fee of $6.45 instead of attempting to extort a tax payer for $50.00 or more due to the City's poorly administered payment systems."

If not, we would be subject to a citation. Citation would be more than it cost to park; hence no incentive to fix machine. Further, we would be subject to towing at owner's RISK and EXPENSE. This is against the laws of bailments, which say if you make someone pay, then you must assume the risk. It appears that the management of this lot is both lazy and greedy. Plan to park elsewhere when, as, and if you come to Annapolis.
