Frieda and Clyde wearing the bananas Eileen made them for Christmas.

Eileen is the best! She's been our pet sitter for years and she's the best pet-auntie we could ever ask for. She sends regular check-in texts with the best photos of the babies and we always come home to a clean back yard and clean litter boxes. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Eileen has been pet sitting my two dogs for quite some time now, and I couldn't be happier with her service. She's incredibly professional--always sending detailed updates after each visit, along with the cutest pictures of my pups. Her assistants are just as wonderful! They're attentive, kind, and have a great eye for detail. What impresses me the most is how comfortable my oldest dog is with them--he's usually very picky about who he trusts, but Eileen's team has truly earned it. If you're looking for reliable, caring, and consistent pet sitters who won't cancel on you last minute, this is the team you want. Highly recommend!

Eileen is the best friend to your animals you ever needed! I've had a few dog/cat caretakers over the years. But hands down no one compares To Eileen. She treats your babies like they are hers. My cats love her. Whenever I need them checked in she completely pampers them like I do. I even get fun pictures or videos of them when I'm out. She is also available to do vet appointments. Which is a bonus when you are super busy with crazy hours like mine. Another bonus, she is a vet tech. She can act fast in a situation if your animal needed assistance. I 100% recommend and support Eileen. She is the best!!! The kitties and I love her!!

Eileen pet sat our 5-year-old cat, Bento, for 5 days while we traveled abroad.

Eileen with One Paw at a Time did a fantastic job taking care of our 5-year-old cat for a period of five days. She sent us daily updates with photos and videos of our cat, so we always had peace of mind that she was being well taken care of while we were traveling. On top of feeding and providing water to our cat, cleaning her litter box, and playing with her, Eileen went above and beyond, taking care of our mail and trash/recycling while we were out. We would certainly recommend One Paw at a Time to anyone looking for reliable petsitting services in the San Diego area.

Very much recommend her. I contacted her for a daily check-in and left leaving both my puppy and I very satisfied.

She didn't make a snap judgment about our 94-pound GSD-mix, which I especially appreciated given how many people assume a correlation between a dog's size and aggressive tendencies. She went the extra mile -- actually more like 2 -- to pick up the dogs from my place of work one day because I was concerned about being late for a staff meeting. And she regularly texted us photos she took of him and his little sidekick during the day -- a very thoughtful touch. Four paws up for Stockton Dogs!

Now that I no longer live in my old place or in the area, I feel more comfortable writing this…read more Jeremy walked my dog for a few months after I moved to San Diego. He did a fine job, and I didn't have any major issues. My only issue in the beginning was that he told me AFTER our meet and greet that the time clock for walks starts when he walks into the building. I showed him the entrance closer to my place (which is right by the entrance), but he wasn't using that one at first. While I had wished that he communicated this during our meet and greet, I wasn't upset by it after we had established a steady routine. A few weeks/months after I settled into my new job, I had been granted the ability to work from home full time with a few occasional sporadic days in the office. I texted him to tell him that I won't need a walker after a certain date and explained that I'll be WFH. I even told him that I'd still like to reach out on days I'd have to be in-office. Later that day, he called to "ask" me what he did wrong. His tone was extremely confrontational and aggressive. I reiterated that I don't need a walker anymore because my situation had changed. He kept demanding an explanation. Honestly, I felt really put off by this. I had to tell him several times that it's because the situation had changed and it took multiple attempts to get him off the phone. He kept trying to push me because he didn't seem to believe me. Honestly, I don't care if he did. Before this conversation, I probably would have asked him to walk my dog on the days that I'd be in the office, but this made me so uncomfortable. Over the period of several months, he occasionally texted and/or called to ask me if we had any dog walking needs. I didn't answer, but eventually texted him to tell him that we did not. I understand his wanting a "reason" to try to improve. However, I gave him a reason. And even if I didn't, I don't necessarily owe him one to the point where he has to demand one repeatedly.
