The place was a little confusing to find and on the way we called…read moretwo times to ask where exactly the building was and no one picked up. the hairdresser named joleen, who was doing my friend's hair, was trying to be kind and came off rude instead. my friend came in very anxious and nervous because she hadn't found a good person to cut her hair in years and the hairdresser was not finding a common ground about how to go about cutting layers. instead of finding a solution or having guiding questions to help find a good cut, she said "i will have to refuse to cut your hair." she was coming off offended everytime my friend had asked for a specific type of layer. joleen gave me a weird, offended look to me when she was told "it's ok i can change my style to something easier if that's better" here's the thing: clients can have extreme social anxiety, a disability, or have never had a haircut before. before a business refuses a paying customer, you can be a little kinder and more receptive to someone's needs. that's all. i came in as support for my friend and jolene said "what is that like scary for you? why do you need support here" very surprised that this place has 4.8 rating, it honestly deserves no stars for lack of communication when not picking up the phone and flat out unprofessionalism towards a first time client. do better.

I've been getting my hair cut by a Deva cut stylist for quite a while and Tina did such an amazing job with my curly hair and really brought out all of my natural curls.
