It was my first time getting one of my electronics serviced; I was skeptical about any place, really. Jeff is amazing and really helped me out with my condition: my computer crashed and I lost everything. He quote it would be $129 to uncrash, and I think $160-180 to fix the computer itself (I don't exactly remember, I was quoted 2 numbers). Jeff was able to walk me through the problems and how to fix them, AND he was able to get my hard drive back with everything!! Super nice and patience; I had a lot of questions. I took my broken surface pro to a shop which wanted nearly $400 for the repair of a broken power button. I informed that shop that it would be better for me to buy a new one. Thereafter, I went to second shop who charged me $45.00 for a diagnosis. After being at the shop for two weeks, this shop wiped out everything from my computer (I don't know why) and then they told me that the screen may and usually does break during the repair. The repair cost would be $275 with no guarantees. No thank you... Finally, I took my surface pro to One Stop Cellular. The gentleman behind the counter looked at the my broken surface pro and stated that the screen was very delicate. He stated that he would need to remove the screen to get to the power botton and that he would be responsible if the screen would break. He stated that the charge for repair was $89.00. I was a bit skeptical but I decided to let him try to fix it. A few days later I picked up the surface pro and it was perfectly fixed. It's been about three months since the repair and my surface pro works as good as new. I had cracked my Samsung S9 the night before and was desperate to get it fixed asap. The screen had vertical lines going through it and was cracked through the middle. The only real thing that worked was voice command and was unresponsive to touch. I woke up at 8am the next morning and began searching for repair shops that would repair a Samsung (not many do, and if so not with quality) Let me tell you I made a list of at least 10+ different repair shops from La Habra to Garden Grove to Huntington Beach. I called each one for their price estimate, time to fix estimate and each one had either an extremely high price or were missing parts. Calling One Stop he gave me a straightforward price estimate, honest about the fact that he only had one screen left of my phone's model, and told me the times he would be closing. Jeff is THE most genuine, professional person you will EVER find in the repair field. I will die on this hill when I say this was probably the most pleasant experience I've had with a phone repair. The experience was quick, within an hour my phone was fixed. There was a smudge under the camera part of the screen making my camera blurry however. I brought it make within a few minutes and he fixed not only his mistake but the broken glass panel on the back of my phone as well due to the "inconvenience" of having to come back. Depressed, I decided to give this establishment a try to repair my phone. Coming back from an Apple Store appointment and finding out that my phone could not be fixed, or had to replace the motherboard. All of a sudden, my phone began shutting off and turning back on every three minutes like a continuous loop They diagnosed the problem to be a physical hardware issue, and advised to replace the motherboard, but even they were not confident or it was even worth doing. I asked if I could trade it in, but since it shut off in three minutes, there was no way that it would pass their check list. So I either pay $500 for a phone that's not even worth that, or I don't know what to do at that point just bummed out. Found Jeff on yelp, stop by his shop and described the phones issue. To give a very objective review, I waited a week before leaving one. To summarize, Jeffery is a legit businessman and more reputable than any of the cellphone repair shops in the area. I visited Jeff on a Saturday after I broke my phone. The glass was broke on front and back but the phone screen and operation was completely fine. He told me he could not help me that day because he already had an extensive amount of repairs. With no pressure, he provided me a card and welcomed me to return the next day. This was significant as it told me as a fellow business owner a true benchmark of entrepreneurship where quality supersedes quantity as his workflow does not exude a stink of desperation. The next element of what impressed me about his work ethic was my consideration of trust and safety. Anyone who has ever had to get a smartphone repaired knows there are scammers out there that if left alone with your phone will steal your information on your phone if left unlocked with them or will over charge you for a repair especially when the customer is desperate to preserve their content. I shopped around to other places to make sure I was making the best selection in where to get my phone repaired. At one store in a shopping plaza to the east on the same boulevard, the store owner wanted me to leave my phone unlocked (for what?) and he quoted me at a much higher price. I declined his services and as I began to walk out, he dramatically lowered the price, slightly lower than what Jeff charges for the same work. I went to another shop to the west on the same boulevard. It is a small pop up structure in a parking lot. When I arrived, the door was locked with a sign saying "will return in 10 minutes." After waiting 15 minutes in my car, I called the number on the front of the shop. The owner answered the phone. He quoted me a high amount. I declined and drove away. He then sent me several text messages saying he was in a restroom at a local restaurant. When I didn't respond, he quoted me a lower price without any real knowledge of what needed to be repaired on my phone. When I didn't respond, he sent me several more text which became annoying. Both of these alternative businesses gave real signs that their prices are random and their service is extremely sketchy. I share the experiences about the other businesses to say that Jeff's price was straight forward like a real business. He inspected the phone, asked for the make and model of the phone and presented a set price on an electronic price schedule. Very professional. I returned the next day. The price was presented in the same manner. It did not change. Jeff showed me the quality of glass he was placing on the phone which is a set standard with the manufacturer logo, nothing less. He even said he refuses to put a lower grade on the phone. Before giving him my phone, he told me to turn it off. There was no haggle, he was professional and took pride in his work. The brief experiences I had with the other nearby businesses reassured my trust in his work. His shop looked like a very reputable business.
