I came here becuase of the Yelp Reviews. I made a appointment at 10AM. Jeff changed my charger port in about 35 minutes. I wanted to change my screen due to a small crack but he advised me to keep the screen due to the high price to replace the note 9 screen. I took his honest advice and now my phone charge ports is working great. The issue I had stated when I dropped my phone in the sand. Charging always worked but the Android Auto Play connection has issues all the time. Eveything works fine. He uses original OEM parts and charges couple dollars more than some other places but I have been burned many times at inexperienced or franchised cell phone repair businesses. I really wasn't going to leave a bad review because I felt the owner of the shop was being fair in the way he was resolving an issue he couldn't fix but after taking my iPad somewhere else for them to tell me that the owner of One Stop Cellular made sure that my device didn't charge at all, was shameful. I brought my daughters iPad mini 4 in because it wasn't charging. I would put the cords in and it would attempt to charge but just didn't hold the charge. So without much idea, I brought it in saying I think it needs a new charging port. The guy replaced it but said it was giving off a slow charge. He attempted to double check his work and fix it by replacing the charging port again. I came by to pick it up and he said it was a slow charge and it would be a good idea to replace the motherboard but he would have to ship it out to some YouTuber in New York for $150 plus the $75 for the port replacement. I said for that price, I'd just buy a new freaken iPad! Reluctant to pay, I did, took it to my kid in the car, put it on the charger and it said "NOT CHARGING " I brought it back immediately and said it doesn't work. He said I would not be able to charge it in the car because it does not provide the correct amperage and I said that was a ridiculous thing to say, because what child is NOT going to need to charge their device in the car?! There's no way I was going to *only* charge at home. He immediately offered a refund but said he wanted his charging port back. It was nearing his closing time and he wanted me to leave the device overnight. My brain said, this is a bad idea but I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Especially because he said "I'm an honest person, I'm always here" so I left it behind. Picked up my device the next morning and called it a wash. A week or so later, I take it to another shop, an authorized Apple repair shop that's also sole proprietor and he told me this shop did NOT put my original charging port back as it was easy to tell that the charging port he put back inside was black and my device is white. The authorized repair shop ran all the diagnostics on my device and said the charging port was likely not to be the issue but he couldn't tell me for sure because it didn't have the original in it. If One Stop Cellular had the correct diagnostics tools, he'd be able to tell that it was the Logic board that needed to be worked on and not the battery or the charging port or the motherboard. This guy is only capable of fixing simple issues, like a screen replacement and does not have the full knowledge to know the ins and outs of devices for a true complete thorough repair. (Hence the suggestion to outsource) And will charge you all Willy nilly. I really wanted to believe you were an honest person. I do not like to write bad reviews. I truly hand out 5 stars reviews mostly. But this was shockingly dishonest. I'm flabbergasted. read more
