Shah and his team were amazing with helping design a beautiful frame and getting it to me by the next day. If you have ever had custom framing done before, you know that it can be a daunting process and that the pricing can seem somewhat subjective. In the past I have been drawn in by the "40% off" sales at Michael's and the other big chain art stores, only to find that the sale prices are still high and the "custom framing services" are performed by minimally trained employees barely out of high school. For my most recent framing project, I did a little more research and was fortunate to find One Stop Framing Shop right here in my neighborhood. Shah and his staff are professional and straightforward-- and it's easy to see how great their work is, because the shop is full of beautifully framed pieces in all mediums and sizes just waiting to be picked up by their owners. The piece I brought in was not perfect- a lithograph maybe a century old, water-damaged, in a dirty frame- and before discussing framing options, Shah took the time to make sure that it could even be safely removed from its existing frame and backing. Once that was confirmed, I explained that although the print was very traditional, I wanted to frame it in a more modern style to complement my home. He made some excellent suggestions about mat colors that I would not have considered on my own. I was not expecting perfection as the piece is irreparably rippled, but the final result is lovelier than I imagined it would be. Custom framing is a labor-intensive process and is never going to be cheap. That said, the prices at One Stop Framing are unquestionably fair and reasonable. With this rare balance of quality and price, it's clear that the shop has many loyal repeat customers, and I will definitely now become one of them. read more

Bad attitude , crazy and rude- I had used this framer before, their storefront is right around the corner from my office. I didn't haggle , the frame was beautiful, but when I got it home I noticed a small nick in the side. I told them about it and they asked me to bring it to show them. I never did that, I'm sorry I didn't. It would've save me some trouble- The next experience was horrible- I brought in 5 photographs to be matted and framed , I paid in full just under $500 . I was having a family event in my home and wanted them asap. I chose an antique silver wooden frame. When I went to pick them up, the frames were all an antique pale gold, NOT the antique silver as the sample. When I saw them I was in shock,the photos were beautifully matted and framed, I calmly told the gentlemen, these are gold I ordered silver. One of them started yelling at me and telling me he "knew I was trouble the minute I walked in" WHAT?? He started telling me that he remembered that I was on the phone with my plumber for 40 Miinutes in the store ( I don't have a plumber, don't know what he was talking about ) and that he "doesnt need this shit") when I asked him for the sample he threw it on the counter and said "look! same"!! it was NOT, I said one is gold and the one I chose is silver. "You know what I think of your sample? Shit!! He yelled, then he snapped his own sample in half like a twig. I said I don't believe you are speaking to me like this, he and his buddy began opening all the frames and taking my pictures out. They produced the receipt book but would not refund the money until I brought in the original receipt . It was clearly a different paint color and they refused to acknowledge it, preserve a client ( I have 8 more frames to do of varying sizes) or to correct something that was wrong. I have to say, it was comical the way the guy went from 0-90 in a matter of seconds and the way they were trying to get those pics out of the frames quickly and throw me out to the street. I have done an imitation of them at my party and elsewhere(hilarious) and told all my friends to avoid this place-Yes I went in with the receipt and got my money back the following week. There are so many framers in NYC, use any other one but these clowns! ANY OTHER ONE. Same prices, maybe be cheaper, maybe more, not worth the blame the victim tantrum the mustachioed dude had !! read more

I checked a framed, autographed golf flag on the airplane on my flight to New York. It was almost 3 feet by 1.5 feet. The frame did not make it. I needed to deliver this gift on Saturday. I brought it to One Stop Framing Shop on Thursday afternoon. After assessing both the damage and the quality of my initial frame, Shah rightfully informed me it probably needed an entirely new frame. Problem: less than 48 hours to create a custom, shadow box frame. Apparently it was no problem - Shah did it! He made the perfect frame and I picked it up on FRIDAY afternoon - less than 24 hours after I met him!!! I highly highly recommend Shah and the Framing Shop! Definitely recommend! The shop is conveniently located in Midtown and services were faster than I expected. I brought in a print on Thursday to apply matting, glass and frame treatment. Even with the MLK Holiday weekend, the job was done and my newly framed print was ready for pickup on Monday - MLK Day! This is the first time I've gotten something framed on my own and I didn't realize how pricey it would be; but it seems like One Stop is a less expensive option in the industry! "I have a guy for that." is what I would say about the trusty mechanic or plumber you've known and used forever because you know he/she does a great job and have confidence in him/her. Shah is our framing guy. This framing shop is fantastic! Mr. Shah has a great sense of style, and goes out of his way to satisfy his customers. My wife and I have been customers of his for 3 years, and he has done a number of custom jobs for us. There was never a job too big or small! The end result is top of the line professional work for bargain prices. When I came to yelp to lookup his phone number again I saw that he only has 2 reviews here. I had a last minute, super rush framing job. I'm a procrastinator + and artist, a deadly combination. 2 days before my art was to be installed at a client's house, I decided I wanted to frame my canvases. I emailed a bunch of framing shops in Manhattan + Brooklyn with a crappy description and a low res photo of another frame I found online - to see if anyone would even accept the job. One stop framing were the 1st to respond, and in the end gave me the best estimate for my job too. I needed 3 canvases framed with floater frames. They had the size frame I needed in stock, in the right color, and were willing to do it in 24 hours. One of these 3 canvases was extremely delicate. I was nervous handing it over, to say the least. I was terrified that 6 months of work could be damaged, but I shouldn't have been! When I came in to pick up my pieces, I was delighted. First of all - all three were beautifully wrapped up. Shah, who I think is the owner, unwrapped each one carefully, and showed me the finished product. He then had the two other guys working there install the hardware. He kept saying " careful, careful this is an original". My tricky piece needed a different set of hardware installed, and Shah reassured me it was no trouble at all. All three guys worked with precision, right before my eyes. The backs of my canvases were trimmed after the hardware was installed. My tricky piece had cutouts and I was thinking of attaching another piece inside. Shah already started measuring out the area, and grabbing extra tools to properly attach this last minute addition. I was blown away by how much he cared. I literally showed up 5 minutes before the shop was closing, but my final art pieces were more important to him than getting out the door in time. For an artist, with an original piece of work - what more could I possibly have asked for? He then waited for me to call an Uber, and carried all 3 canvases out into the car. I felt like I had a friend on my side. And to think how nervous I was dropping off my canvases just 24 hours before! In the end, my art looks 100% more polished thanks to the amazing frames, and I know I'll be coming back to one stop framing for all my future framing needs! read more

Fabulous in every way! I am new to NY, and was shocked by the high prices of framing shops. Two years ago, I spent $1,000 for 2 framing jobs on cheap posters . It took months before they were completed and delivered. This past year, I looked up " inexpensive framers " , checked on yelp, called and went in to visit the store.That was when I met Mr. Shah. I spent about $2,000 on 8 beautiful framing jobs: some were antique menus that he reframed as I had had them done originally in Paris in 1991. Shah or Mohammed will help you with your framing needs. They don't try to up sell you things you don't need but certainly have the most expensive framing options if you want them (museum quality glass, etc). They are always pleasant and helpful and I have had 3 pieces framed by them without any issues. You do have to call to make sure your piece is ready (they sometimes forget to call you) but otherwise they are excellent. read more

I can't say enough about this place. Let me start by saying that the owner is a fantastic guy. He's friendly and straightforward. I had four paintings of enormous personal value, and he showed immense concern for how the work would be done to bring out the best in each one. There were some pretty significant challenges because each canvas had been cut down to accommodate travel, but the work was meticulous and results were stunning. They look amazing in my new apartment! As for service, I was impressed from start to finish. The owner is honest and easy to talk to. He called me as soon as the paintings were ready for pick up, on the day specified. They wrapped up the canvases for transport and even attached little handles so I wouldn't scratch the acrylic by holding them too tightly. Not what I was expecting. Samples all were dusty and faded and not enough room to layout the work of art. We wanted to frame an expensive piece and we're hoping to save on the framing. We left after the sales person was distracted with phones and another person (his coworker?) behind counter. Was looking for more advise since we know nothing about framing and he just wasn't helpful at all. We ended up going to a more expensive frame store. I don't really write online reviews much. Ever. So, I created a Yelp account just so I could write one for these guys. I came in with six posters, most of which were in odd sizes, as they were purchased either out of the country or as specialty items from gallery shows. I wanted something that would look simple and professional at a good price. (Don't we all?) So, I came in to ask some pricing questions and met Shah. Not only is Shah an incredibly smart and helpful guy, he's also exceedingly kind, funny and fun to talk to. On the spot, he looked at the dimensions I had written on my smartphone, asked some questions about what I was looking to accomplish (and really listened to what I had to say) and with a couple of quick calculations, quoted me a price. Waaaaaaay less than I thought he was going to say. After he learned that I lived in Brooklyn, he said, "this is the cheapest, most professional job you're going to find anywhere! But you shouldn't take my word for it, especially since we're not located close to you: go talk to the stores in your neighborhood and see what they say," then, with a friendly smile, "but I know you'll be back." He couldn't have been more right. The places in my neighborhood were hard to talk to, didn't listen to what I want, tried to upsell me on all kinds of junk I didn't need to hike up the price and were really flighty about giving quotes. And when I did get one, the price was more than double what Shah had offered. Needless to say, I went back and Shah stuck with the price he had quoted me and agreed to have them finished over the weekend. Today, I picked them up, right on schedule and they look fantastic. And the rest of the guys were in there -- also very enthusiastic, kind and hospitable. I can't recommend this business highly enough. I'll definitely be back for the next round. This is a wonderful framing shop. We bought 5 high quality frames (without glass or backing, matting) from a friend and needed professional help to frame our wedding photos. The store was incredibly helpful since we were clueless on how to match the 5 diff pictures with matting and frames. Shah has a great eye in pairing the pictures with the right matting and frame to really bring out the pictures. He took time to individually test the combination of each photo with different mattings so we can visualize the final product. Example, he would recommend a winter green color, which looked much better than our boring suggestions of offwhite or black. You can tell Shah enjoys the process and he wants you to LOVE the picture, not just be "okay" with it. Price wise - They listened to our concerns for budget and never pushed "higher prices matting on us". He started us with the basic matting first, then because we disliked the look we asked for more expensive texture matting. The higher quality matting cost more (But ABSOLUTELY worth it depending on your picture frames). Example, we got this jet black suede matting to bring out a black and white photo. Final product looked incredible when compared to the boring paper black matting. Also they were speedy, we needed the frames before the NYE party and they completed our frames quickly without compromising quality. The prices were definitely fair esp since we had very large frames (43X30 inches), 3 large frames (30 X24) and it required more materials. Plus the prices depend on if you choose expensive matting or glass (museum vs regular). More importantly, they took a lot of care with the frames and our photos. We were extremely pleased and he made our wedding photos look even better. We loved the service and went back afterward to get a few more wedding photos framed for families. Also, he gave us a recommendation on a professional that will hang up our heavy frames (Gill from A&G Artwork and Mirrors installation). He was great too, professional, good price, and hung all our pictures, gave great recommendations! We definitely will go to him for any future framing projects. read more
