This is the plate formerly known as enchiladas verdes.

The sauce was delicious with a medium level of spicy. They don't skip on the filling and even though I'm on a diet I devoured it. Everything was delicious and the berry margarita hit the spot! Trivia is going on it's been super entertaining.

I stopped in bc I was in the area. And kinda just been on a kick to find some good tacos. As everywhere I have been recently is below avg. my standard for tacos is from the motherland of Oaxaca. So it's hard to reach "good" for me. These are some good TACOS. I've only ordered tacos can't speak on anything else. Red sauce has great taste and some spice to it! I'd give these tacos a solid 8.1/10

I have visited and enjoyed this restaurant several times. Today was a bad day. The special was $3 for ala carte tacos so I ordered two vegetarian flour tacos They came out with street taco sized tortillas. I had asked for quac, cheese, pico and lettuce. The bill comes and I was charged an additional $1.50 per each taco for quac (1 tsp max) and 50 cents per taco for pico. What? I had no meat and these were very small tacos. My $3 tacos were $5 each. I was told that avocados are expensive but $1.50 per taco is more than excessive. Pico costing extra too? I tried discussing with server who stood firm in his logic. I should also add that the $14 ala carte burrito was blah - filled with rice and was just a burrito on a plate - nothing else. Way overpriced. I will not be back.

We came here on a whim and noticed the spicy restaurant. Really cute and great for those that are looking for insta photos. We ordered the Del Norte tacos and steak burrito. We both also ordered margaritas and extra sauces for our chips and meal. The chips and salsa were fresh, and they will replenish when you need more. There are three levels of sauces, mild, hot, really hot. The service was great as well, they are friendly and great to recommend folks on what to eat. Everything was delicious and the food was fantastic.

I like this place, but my husband never does so I'm torn on what rating to provide. He's tried the chimichanga and the chile relleno taco dinner - he wasn't pleased with either and both left him feeling sick. I've had the shrimp taco dinner and the enchiladas verdes - definitely preferred the enchiladas but I thought they were both good. So the place - the vibe is very cool, but it's clear they are under staffed. The staff is doing the best they can and they do provide good service, but the place is a mess and it's hard to find a clean table anywhere. They are obviously doing something right though - the place was packed when we were there last. I'd say this is a good addition to Palatine, but they do have some work to do before they become my go-to Mexican spot.

We dined here this evening and had a wonderful time. First off I was impressed that they were open during a blizzard. When we sat down our waiter, Dennis, greeted us. He was super helpful and very friendly. I had the Lomo Tacos and my wife had the Veggie Fajitas. Both were delicious. Pro tip the have a happy hour special from 3-5. 1/2 off drinks and select appetizers.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got around to it. First things first - while I cannot drink currently, they have a wide selection of tequilas (as they should with it being in the name haha!) and lots of other mixed drinks you could order. I ordered the enchiladas verdes with chicken which were super tasty and filling! My husband got the carne asada and it was truly some of the most tender and juicy asada that I've had. I'd come back just for this! Our friend got the enchiladas de mole with a different meat in each (chicken, steak, pork) and said the al pastor (pork) was the best one. He also said that the mole was a really great mole. The place itself is spacious and there's a bar when you first walk in and seating off to the left of the restaurant. It also appears they have slot machines to the right of the restaurant. My only true dislike of the meal was the tres leches cake which was nowhere what a tres leches should be. It truly either was lacking all the milk or they gave us a slice that had been sitting in the fridge for days and had dried up. Presentation was beautiful but it was not a tres leches slice. My husband and his friend thought it was okay for just a regular cake slice and ate most of it. I like my tres leches soggy so didn't really touch it after a couple bites. Overall, would skip dessert next time and just stick to our meals because they were the stars of the show!

Everything was good; food, service, and ambiance but too pricey. Just for a burrito itself was $14 and liked that you can choose different meats for the taco dinner. Also, business needs to update prices on menu. Loved the salsa and chips.

Love the food, drinks and staff... but twice now the food has taken forever to get. Ruins an otherwise good experience.

Nice that they give an ice cream dessert. Enchiladas: good portion, my son tried mole that was spread on top for the first time, he didn't like it, but it doesn't mean it wasn't good, just something new he didn't enjoy. Cactus taco: they made it right. Nice texture with the crispy beets on top. Fish taco: this was ok, it fell apart bc there were so many tomatoes on top the juice softened the corn tortilla. Salad: good but they didn't have many dressing options and the one that came with it didn't have much flavor to add. Overall, cute spot, price is a bit higher here. They have many seafood entrees, seems to be what many guests ordered so maybe thats popular here. Service was good. No issues and things came out timely.

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!
