The colors were off and looked terrible, and it had a chin at the bottom. I went back and paid $250 for a proper oled iPhone screen. I was happy with it. I even went back to him weeks later for a screen protector. Everything looked and worked great for 3 months until it didn't. The screen started to glitch when I set it to full brightness then it started to flash and glitch with any movement. Finally my screen just failed. An ideal place would at least have a 90-day warranty or at least try to fix it, especially for a returning customer. He definitely recognized me because I was there 3 times within the past 3 months. Who would want to come back 3 times anyways? He had no intention whatsoever to help me. I asked if he could just check on the screen but he didn't bother answering any questions or concerns. Instead he was rude and I, the customer, had to ask "So how can we fix this?" He wanted $250 AGAIN to make me pay for a new screen. Why would I do that if the first one completely failed? Fool me once. Tuh! He just lost a loyal customer and I cannot recommend this place. You will feel regretful. Just go to the Apple Store so you won't lose out on your money.

    OMG! I read the many negative reviews and the very aggressive responses from TSS threatening to…read moresue all of the customers who had terrible experiences there. (All the "positive" reviews are planted by the owner and his buddy.) Yet, like an idiot, I thought, "well, they're nearby..." so I gave them a try. They are: 1. Incompetent: they know almost nothing about phone repair. 2. Dishonest 3. Personally abusive I more or less self-diagnosed the phone problem before I came in. Likely a mother board. I arrived on a Friday. The place was a shambles; they were tearing up the flooring themselves, and everything on the counters were in total disarray. No signs of any actual repair work ever being done there. "Leave it with us, give me $25, and we'll call you first thing Monday morning to tell you what's wrong. We guarantee we'll fix it for $99. If we can't, we'll give you your $25 back." Nobody called Monday. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday. So I called Monday evening. "Um...what phone again? oh yeah, um, we, like tried to turn it on every day..." Vamping to gain time. "Um, we'll totally check it out today and call you tomorrow." Three weeks later nobody had called and I was forced to just buy another phone, so my girlfriend stopped by to pick it up and get the $25 back. They actually mocked her, because although she had the receipt and all the paperwork, she didn't remember the color of the back the phone. (It's not her phone and it was always covered by a case cover, but they are sexist a-holes.) Worse, they refused to give her my money back, and gave no reason, other than they want the money! One of the worst businesses I've ever encountered in New York or anywhere. Believe the real, negative reviews and not the phony "they did a great job" planted reviews. I can almost guaranty the guy will respond with an aggressive rebuttal on Yelp and a threat to sue me, as he has done with all the other TSS customers. Wait and see. If you value your phone, or your money, or your self-respect, DO NOT EVER WALK IN THE DOOR AT TSS.

He also…read moreshared his intention behind founding the service, and offered a free repair for the broken bezel. I appreciated his sincerity and the way he takes responsibility for his work. During the conversation, he also provided helpful and professional advice regarding my other tech-related concerns. Overall, I felt that he genuinely cares about both the service he provides and the people he helps. Because of this follow-up and support, I am revising my overall experience to a 4-star review. I also hope the company's culture continues to reflect this level of care and professionalism and continues to support both customers and staff. --------------------------------------- Previous review -I brought my MSI laptop to this shop for a lid repair. At the time, there was a small crack on the left side near the hinge, and I was worried it might get worse , but the screen bezel was intact. I was initially told that once the part arrived, they would notify me to bring in the laptop, and the repair would then take about a full day. The part arrived on December 30, 2025, I dropped off the laptop on January 6, and picked it up on January 9. -After I got home, I turned on the webcam to prepare for a meeting, and noticed that the screen displayed a blue image. I contacted the shop immediately. I was asked to bring the laptop back for further inspection, but no explanation was provided regarding the possible cause of the issue. -Since the shop is about an hour away, I asked whether a remote diagnosis could be done first to better understand the situation. I was informed that there would be a charge for that service. At the same time, I looked into common causes of this issue and found that it can result from a protective film not being removed during repair. However, this possibility was not discussed. -If a likely cause had been communicated, it would have helped me better understand whether an immediate return visit was necessary. Without that information, the situation was unclear and required additional time and travel to resolve. -More recently, about four months after the repair, I noticed that the bezel near the hinge has cracked, even though I have been handling the laptop carefully. This area was not damaged prior to the repair. Given that the hinge area is a high-stress point, I am concerned that the repair or reassembly may have contributed to this issue. Overall, my experience was disappointing. While the initial interaction felt welcoming, it was followed by a noticeably self-protective approach when issues arose. Although the repair was completed, I encountered additional problems afterward that required significant time and effort to resolve. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend that others ask detailed questions about the repair process, confirm what testing will be performed, and ensure the device is thoroughly checked at the shop before taking it home. In general, I believe that clear communication and transparency are important in building trust with customers over the long term.
