AT&T sent me a request to get my iPhone checked at uBreakiFix. Run by Asurion, this chain has such a catchy name that it is hard to forget. Paul at the East 21st Street location, was both professional and personable. He checked my device and told me to switch it off once a month so that any glitches disappear. I did have one which disappeared after I followed his advice. This store is tiny but apparently one can use the restroom which another customer we requested. I was happy with the service especially as after the pandemic both AT&T and the Apple Store have a "hands off" approach and only change devices. No more in house classes which I enjoyed. Paul, who seems to single-handedly run the place, is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes beyond. I brought my laptop in for a battery replacement. (2 hours total... Geek Squad wanted 3 days)... When I returned to pick it up, Paul insisted on testing it first. He noticed "a funny sound" took it back and told me it was something unrelated to the batter. He then brought it back into the shop, disassembled it... found a problem with the fan, cleaned out the fan, and reassembled it. All without extra charge. I gave the East 21st call at 630pm to see if my screen could be fixed by the end of the night. Despite them closing at 7pm, Paul stayed an extra 15 minutes and had me out of there with a brand new screen by 715pm. Not only that, but he was able to clean my charging port without me even asking. Truly Exceptional customer service and I would fully recommned this location and Paul if you have any Iphone concerns. I decided to take my laptop elsewhere and had everything fixed including an issue that wasn't seen at this repair shop for $300. Oh this place is a Godsend. Had a cracked screen, I out in my claim. Ran over here, waited about 5 minutes to be seen and then processed.thwy did their diagnostic, realized my ear speaker was busted... Guess what? They fixed that too!! 2 hours later I got a brand new (looking) galaxy s9. Staff was friendly and considerate. Did not give me any hassle. Really great place. Brought my laptop in for some water damage - repair took a little longer than I had hoped, but I imagine ordering the top case and battery for a 7 year old computer involves some longer delivery times. Can't complain there - such is life during Covid. Rose was such a wonderful point of contact. Whether I was calling to check in, or visiting the store to drop off and pick up, she was always super helpful and up to date on everything going on with my repair. A real lovely presence. I visited the Asuurion located off Goldenrod and Hoffner a week ago. I was greeted by Ram. After telling him my story and the condition of my phone, he was very sympathetic and told me he was hopeful he could fix my phone. The repair was not going to be cheap( was cheaper, then I had been quoted from other chains). Low and behold he was able to fix my phone and did it in 2 hrs time. I literally wanted to cry because of all the things that were on my phone that I thought I would never see again( somethings just don't download from goggle). THANK YOU RAM!! Awful. I called the store and explained that I had an LG subwoofer television speaker which would not power on. The guy told me to bring it down. I lugged the reasonably heavy subwoofer down to 21st Street on the bus. The guy said they don't work on speakers at this location, but that a guy at another location MIGHT work on speakers if he was around, but that he was on vacation for the next 1.5 months. It's fine if they don't work on speakers but he should have been able to tell me that on the phone. With service like that I'll never go back. read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Had my iPhone screen fixed here. Two weeks later when I put it down on my desk the screen they repaired cracked again. Brought it back to the store and was told their 90 Day Warranty didn't cover this. They wanted to charge me again to fix it. WTF? Staff could care less about my issue. So ask yourself before you bring your phone to be fixed here - do I need the hassle? No, no you don't. read more

This place is a franchise. It is not owned by Asurion, it is owned by a person called Malik Arif. After doing some research Malik used to have Verizon franchised stores under the name Mobile Guru which was shut down fraudulent business practices and Verizon revoked his contract. He has multiple complaints with the BBB for shady business practices and fraudulent charges. I walked in today to get my screen fixed after paying asurion the $29 deductible and was told my repair would take 1hr. After arriving in the store they told me it would take 2 hours but if I want to pay an additional fee it can be done in 1hr. I refused to pay the fee since this was not mentioned by Asurion. This was a fee strictly that the store imposes. Not Asurion. Since I was the only customer at the store and figured I'm the first and only customer so I should be out quick. Wrong. Nikita held onto my phone for the whole 2 hours on purpose since I chose not to pay the fee. I will never return to any u break I fix locations. I would rather go directly to Apple. read more
