Absolutely adored the $5 menu! It's so nice and refreshing to see a $5 menu thats not at the warehouse! We tried most of everything on the $5 menu - the loaded taters, tuna poke bowl, pulled pork sandwich, deep fried pickles, torpedo prawns and the chicken 65. Everything was quite delicious, and I surprisingly loved the Deep Fried Pickles! It wasn't too oily, and loved the constrast between the fresh pickle and the fried batter outside. We found that the rice to be a little hard in the tuna poke bowl, and most of the deep fried items like the tater tots + prawns tasted like it was just poured out from a frozen bag and just air fryed up, but its a great value! This is a prime place to come meet with some friends or to watch a game and to enjoy the atmosphere! Service was ok , the stuffed yorkies were disgusting, dried rubber onions on top of 2 very small yorkies with leftover fatty cubed beef and horseradish was more like dressing and not tasty. I give it 1 out 10 the small spoonful of mashed potatoes under the yorkies were ok. The French onions soup might be out of a can with powered Parmesan cheese and croutons on top. Its my third visit here and i have seen drop in the quality of food. Especially . I have never had such a bad tasting n worse presented french fries ever. On top of it, fries were cold. Tofu in the vegetarian bowl was so tasteless and bland. Come on even i can make tofu way flavour full. Service is otherwise nice. I mean the ladies who work there or the floor manager are great. But the food needs to compliment the beautiful girls serving them. Dj is not a pro. He doesn't play the music right away but has his own tone and structure of doing it. This has become our friday night family eats spot. They have a "buy one get one half off" deal on fridays for "burgers and favs" that makes it a killer deal for a meal. The fact that they have a solid kids menu, entertainment, and enough space that we can not drive the grown ups crazy with toddler action makes this pub family friendly and for that, we couldn't be more grateful. Opportunities to feel like your preparent self having a pub dinner are rare. But I know why you came here... it's for the food. So far, we have had almost everything in that section of the menu - so some general commentary to help you decide on what you wanna take a stab at: 1. French Fries - Defs made in house, super yummy but sometimes need a little longer in the fryer for the glorious crispiness. 2. Spicy ONE20 Burger - Holy $^#& you guys... this might be the best spicy burger I have ever had ever in my entire life. It was so damn good. Had as beef. 3. Cali Club - Good, but needed some oomph. 4. Buffalo Wrap - Had with Chicken, super yummy and felt a little gluttonous (but then what pub food doesn't if you're doing it right?). Next time I want to hit this with blue cheese if possible. 5. Beef Dip - So.. so... good. My mouth just watered typing this. 6. Crispy Fried Chicken Sando - Honestly, I knew this was gonna be the case when I ordered it. Just too goopy for me with the asiago spread. Next time I'm gonna order that on the side and add as needed. The Chicken was generous to the point of being nuts. 7. WINGS: ONE20 Dragon sauce is like... some sort of spicy kinda Indian but not really sauce that is destination worthy. GET IT. We do sauce on side for all our wings so YMMV if you get em tossed. I came here with B and his family. We were looking for somewhere close by. Wow this place has the best nachos. I would say the best nachos that I have ever tasted. The nacho were crispy and crunchy and on top there were plenty of toppings. Yes lots of cheese. Good amount of sour cream too. I was told by B's dad that the salsa was a wow. I got one piece fish and chips. That was pretty tasty. Fresh seafood. B got the chicken wrap with yam fries. I took a bit out of his wrap and it was good. I liked how crunchy the chicken was. The Yam fries were awesome. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. During lunch time it was pretty quiet. I recommend giving this place a try. There are plenty of free parking here. read more

Decent but pricey brew pub on the edge of Delta. Reminds me of Craft Beer Market in Vancouver. Parking is plentiful in the nice large lot in front. The building is new and quite huge. The place is divided into a restaurant and a production area. The interior is nice and modern, but the theme is rather generic. Place needs a bit more character, but that will come with time. Flights are definitely on the pricier side, at $9.25 for a flight. They have their in-house brews, as various taps from other local breweries. The beef short rib dip I had was pretty decent. The meat was crumbly and fell apart. Beautiful. There was more than enough jus to keep the sandwich soaked. Onion rings were decent but a too thin physically for my liking. My girlfriend took me to this place which is near my work. I was craving some pub food and I didn't want to drive too far. I was not disappointed. The décor and ambiance were quiet and mellow, just what I needed that day. The service was impeccable, the waitress was a delight and treated us like we were regulars. The food came promptly and the drinks were there before I had time to wash my hands (which is a must in a pandemic). They have plenty of local brews, some of which I have come to love, and there was no exceptions that day. The food was also pretty good. I had the Fish and Chips, your typical pub food, but it was well prepared and tasty. They do have some fancier dishes like fresh oysters, but I was not feeling that adventurous on that night. I used to go to this place all the time 5-6 years ago when they used to have their Sunday specials of half priced food, I'm not sure if they still do that. I just recently went to One20 randomly and I was surprised they were still pretty good in the food area! I was craving pub food so this was the closest place near me. We went around f I ordered the red sangria - it wasn't anything special, I was expecting it to be sweet but it was sour. Ordered calamari to start, the crispy chicken burger with a poutine, and Hubs got chicken and mushroom penne. The calamari was okay, it was really big pieces and kinda chewy. My sandwich was great, but the artichoke/spinach spread kinda threw me off. I'd rather just have the aioli mayo on it by itself. Poutine was good! I'm always a sucker for a yummy poutine! My hubs pasta was good, but he wished he had a bigger portion for the $16-17 we paid for. The waitress was great. The place is nice. Sill looks the same from what I remember 5-6 years ago! I was thinking about this one for a while and decided it was worthy of the 3-star. ---------------------------------- We needed a place for dinner in the Delta area and I found One20 Public House online. We wanted a place with indoor seating, and emailed the restaurant with some questions and to make a reservation. They were very responsive, and made our Thursday night reservation without issue. However, when we arrived, there was no reservation for us. There were open tables though, so it wasn't a big deal. Perhaps we didn't do enough research, because One20 Public House is more of a sport's bar than the restaurant that we had imagined. It was very loud, plus there was live singing. The service wasn't great. It wasn't even good. We were seated by one girl who said she would be back with the daily sheet (or whatever you call the one sheet with the current specials). She never came back. Another girl came and we asked her for the specials sheet and she seemed to be annoyed that we weren't ready to order when she came to our table. And that was sort of the way it went with her the rest of the evening - she just didn't seem to want to be a/our server. The food was good though. The beer-battered fish and chips was really good - I regretted not ordering 2 pieces. I opted for salad instead of fries and was not a fan of the salad. Too much going on, and not much of anything I cared for (I probably should have asked what was in the salad, but I assumed it would be just your basic salad). This pub is one of my favorites and definitely tops my list in Surrey. The scallop and beet risotto is delicious, the yorkies are some of the best I've had and the nachos are always a good option. Drink service is quick, food quality is always great and the staff are friendly and very good at what they do. The new manager is a magician and will come to your table and blow your mind with some card tricks. He is personable, funny and a great addition that will make you want to come back. Great atmosphere and love the couches set up near the front where you can enjoy your meal. Not too noisy either. Been here a few times and has always been good. read more

War Won Ton Soup.. $17 includes 3 wontons, 3 small shrimp, some vegs and a huge bowl of broth. I'm sorry, but that's insane. Never again. If that was not enough to put me off, we eventually had to ask for someone to take our order (I was on lunch break and running out of time), and in the end, we even had to ask to have our bill adjusted as they charged us full price on another half price special item for which she charged us full price. I've only been here once and based off that experience they get 5-Stars! Their Sunday special is rather unique, the plate of nacho hit the spot, Nicole (our waitress) was great. She made sure we were always good by checking in with us without being annoying about it. There plenty of space in here with ample TVs so if a game is on you'll never miss a play. Believe I saw a pool table in the back also. Other than the nacho, there was no food ordered so I can only say the nachos were good. Not the best nachos however for 1/2 price, I have nothing to complain about. In fact both myself & the individual I was with was shocked at how low the bill was thinking it was going to be MUCH higher. I'll definitely be returning at some point on an empty stomach. read more

My mom and I sat down for lunch and were greeted by the sweetest server. She was very polite and offered sound knowledge of the menu. My mom had a burger which she really enjoyed, whereas I had the crab cakes appy. Mine came with a handful of potato chips and a small dish of cole slaw. The sauce paired with my crab cakes was probably my favourite part of the meal. It offset the fishy taste crab sometimes has, while complimenting the creamy flavours of the crab. We treated ourselves to a glass of wine and a polar bear. My polar bear was carefully crafted and tasted great. It wasn't as strong as other versions I've had of the drink, but that wasn't bad to me. I don't quite think this place warrants a four star review, as I felt it was pretty standard pub food, but I am glad that this spacious restaurant has the vibe it has. (It almost reminds me of a JRG establishment in a way??) theres pool in the back corner and a number of big TVs. Happened by chance ... and found what I have been searching for: fresh, local, made from scratch interesting food at a reasonable price by a small kitchen. It's a style that's been The Thing in Victoria for years now, and I have struggled to find anything remotely like it, much less the trend for that on the mainland. Interesting menu, many vegan options, all housemade with a polite warning that they don't do substitutions and alterations to the selections. Quiet, in a classy casual way. Don't expect a sports bar, don't expect a saloon, really don't expect a nightclub... but this little place is a very pleasant surprise. Tried the beet hummus and falafel --perfect falafel, with a garlic foam, pickled cabbage and radish slaw, and warmed flat pita. Unique, classic and very, very well balanced. I really enjoyed the food at this one20 public house. Took at look at the menu and though it looked good so drove from coquitlam. I was a little taken aback that it was also a club? I was really impressed by the vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, beer selection was good as well (of course, there's a club on the other side). I ordered the buffalo cauli wrap, and was brought a chicken buffalo wrap out after mentioning no meat- as you learn to do as a vegetarian. This is very upsetting to me when this happens and I can't enjoy a meal after sending the meat back and wondering if it was wasted and thrown into the garbage. That being said, the food was good and there were other things on the menu that looked good as well that made it hard to decide. Hubs and I took a friend out for dinner, on the birthday of her recently deceased husband. We sat in a corner booth hoping to have the opportunity to talk. Music was great but so loud we could barely hear each other. Despite not being busy, service was slow. Hubs ordered a "crispy meatball" dish, I ordered seafood chowder and our friend ordered mini yorkies. Hubs said his dinner looked - and tasted - like Hamburger Helper. My soup came, the bowl was warm but the soup was not. I didn't care at this point as my iced tea had taken so long to arrive, I figured it would be an ordeal. When our friend said her yorkies were lukewarm, I told her my soup was too. She got up, found a manager and called him over. He showed up, with the server in tow, and offered to remake both dishes. The server acted as if I was not telling the truth about the soup because the bowl was warm when she delivered it. Meals were replaced, there was virtually no seafood in my seafood chowder. We should have just left at that point. But our friend wanted the chocolate fondue, so we ordered it. It was adequate but nothing special. Nothing comped off our bill, except I was offered a free refill of my iced tea, which I declined and asked for water. Near the end of our meal, the music was turned down, probably not a coincidence that the restaurant owners had arrived to eat and were seated nearby. We will not go here again. read more

I have been a pretty regular diner and while I appreciate they are doing their best during COVID the lunch hour food has been less than stellar. The fish and chips were mushy. No crunch on the batter and literally all was mushy from outside in and fries that I loved lacked any flavour. We all know you are trying during these times. Nice little bar/restaurant. The meal was very good! I got the pasta and I wish I could get the recipe for the meat sauce. Very good! The atmosphere was nice - we sat on the restaurant side and it was comfortable. The other side - the bar side - was quite loud. So much so that the volume invaded the restaurant side and was more than just background noise. The volume seemed to go up, to the point that we were antsy to leave. As I mentioned before, the meal was very good. But the dessert - lava cake - was not. My expectation of a lava cake was for it to ooze chocolate, instead this cake was stuffed with a peanut butter interior. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't the taste that was was expecting or hoping for. The service was very good. The waitress was friendly without going overboard. But, besides the calamari our food came to us unlike we ordered. Our waiter was very adamant to tell us we were in the wrong however, and wouldn't admit the mistake. We've driven by here everyday and had never gone in as we weren't sure if there were vegan options. We were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the cauliflower bites and the veg curry. We recently hosted our company Christmas party for 30 guests here. Following an earlier activity we were looking to stay away from typical chain restaurants. We came across One20 Public House. From first contact to last with Michael, I got more than I expected, and that was just from the service. Having never been there I expected typical Public house fair, how bad could it be?? What we got was amazing food, from the appetizers to the entrees the food was prompt, hot and delicious. But it doesn't stop there, usually the ball drops somewhere, NOPE not here, the atmosphere was inviting, cozy, clean and did I mention the service, we did not once have to hail down a server for a drink, or anything for that matter. I've been coming to the Pub One20 for a number of years now and they've recently gone through some renos so this will be based on their latest incarnation, which, in my books, is exactly what I look for in a pub nowadays. Some people like their holes-in-the-wall or secret dives that have some sort of kitsch factor for them, but this ain't either of those in the slightest. Updated completely for today's crowds and actually a place that attracts so many different groups, from work gatherings to families, this really feels like a community pub. Atmosphere? Call it Main Street without the hipster pretentiousness. Chalkboards on the walls and TVs for those who need their sports, it's a high ceilinged expansive place with mottos painted in white on slate and lots of dark wood. Personally I like the seating variety, given that there are couches, fireplaces, dining seating, booths and longtables; without this mix I think it would start to feel a little much like a beer hall but instead still feels intimate or open, depending on my group's mood each visit. If you don't read anymore but this, here are the reasons I go: always amazing craft beer choices (and I am BIIIG into the local craft scene); chefs offering up food choices that are hands-down above and beyond what you'd expect from pub fare (while still keeping nachos and wings for the die-hards); and decent service each time. In Delta, I am far enough away from the variety of options I could find on Commercial, Main, or other hotspots in the downtown core that I want something that doesn't feel like a hotel-attached bar that's been around since its infancy and frankly has never served anything more daring than a Corona with spring rolls. The One20 is a true gastro-pub which makes one want to have more than a pint - their menu includes some of the better entrees that I've had at any pub, and I've even been enticed to have some of their salads with a beer, which is quite out of character for me. I recommend going on an empty stomach and expecting to have a lunch or dinner there with a few brews. As for the beer? It is a welcome oasis for the likes of me - I'm a beer-snob, and my friends are the first to point this out in me. Not only do they partner with a local craft brewery to pour their own proprietary drafts (yes, more than one), they also have the likes of Four Winds, Strange Fellows, Persephone and others 365 days a year, with about 20 taps. Sure, this is not the Alibi Room or Craft with their 50 taps to brag with, but man if this doesn't at least make me feel at home with such smart choices for beer. Some of my friends rather have a bottle of red, so they push to drop by on Thursdays where the One20's special is to go next door and get whichever wine they like at the pub's liquor store, show the receipt at the bar and they'll bring glasses with no corkage fee (you'll have to check yourself what the fee is other days - like I said, I am a beer snob!). Back to the beer - they host brewmaster dinners with really well-thought-out food pairings. It sounds like I'm gushing about this place, so here are the points that might turn someone off from here at times: the music can get loud at times when the staff seem to want to make the venue feel like a nightspot, which means we might as well be raising our voices to keep a conversation; not often but it can happen. There are a LOT of TV's playing sports - I'm not a fan of the games but my eyes can't avoid them no matter which direction I'm facing. And sometimes they close the restaurant-seating side to keep everyone at the pub side, so it restricts the choices if we're preferring to sit away from the crowds that day. However, as you can figure out, I find this place is both up-to-date and enjoyable. The service is attentive overall and the waitstaff are intelligent, and they know their menu. Look, at the time of writing this Yelp says I'm the "Duke" so, yeah, it's an excellent destination for a reprieve from the pub joints in other parts of North Delta. read more

I asked about the Nacho platter and the waitress seemed to give me attitude coz I asked how big the platter was. She said "it feeds about 3-4 ppl but I'm sure a grown man can finish it. You are a grown man right?" I was thinking what ever crawled up her #2 stayed up there and hibernated. But I was craving it and skipped lunch, when I received my order it looked nothing like it could feed 3-4 ppl, more like 2(which was a good thing as it really hit the spot). I just didn't like her attitude as to my order being incomparable(I'm starting to think if it did feed 3-4, did they dial down the portion even tho they knew I'd pay full price for it). Food was ok, just enough cheese and nacho crunch(I added beef mind you). Price was bit on the high side for nachos. Guess if you're not ordering anything else it's fine. I was really impressed with this restaurant. I went with my family per my (vegan) brother's request. My mom had told us that she didn't like the restaurant that used to be there (but later said the new owners obviously did an amazing job). I am a vegan as well and got the beet hummus which was delicious (and pretty!). My vegan brother (who was celebrating his birthday) shared the vegan platter with one of my other brothers and they got a TON of delicious food. We were all impressed by how huge it was. I tried some of the items and they were all delicious. Our other family members eat meat and were also happy with what they got. I didn't expect a pub, let alone a pub in Delta (maybe Vancouver), to have such great vegan options. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

They've recently updated their vegan menu to include even more options-- We're a huge fan of this! Its hard to find options at a pub outside of Vancouver, and we love that this is close and they regularly have vegan friendly items. Yes, they do deep fry everything in the same fryer, but we choose our battles when we go out to a non-vegan restaurant. We're happy to have options in a casual setting that is close to home! The reason I'm giving a 4 star is for their new Caesar salad dressing. We both ordered the veggie burger (fairly sure its a beyond burger patty now, it tasted identical-- so delicious!), my partner got the new vegan friendly onion rings and I got their new side Caesar salad. The dressing had a strange sweetness to it that I wasn't a fan of. We also got the cauliflower wings to start. We're big fans of the multiple sauce options they're offering now-- though we still went with the dragon sauce because its the best! Excellent craft beer selection, probably over a dozen on tap (Heineken and Bud were also on tap, this is Surrey after all). I had the beef shortrib dip with fries. The fries were freshly made and were excellent. The shortrib sandwich was really tasty. Prices for everything were reasonable. My meal was $13.00 and the beer was $6.50 for a 16 ounce pint. The menu was interesting. All of the entrees appeared to be reasonably priced, which means I will be returning soon to try more of the menu items. Very impressed! This is a large space. Probably a few too many TVs for my liking but I'm sure most people are happy with that. Service was excellent, I'm not sure why some seem to have complained about that... read more
