The house we were viewing had the remnants of an animal who hasn't been potty trained and a hard to get out smell going for it but I thought, I can work with them on this. I applied, paid the fee for my spouse and I, got a denial within two days. No working with "me" whatsoever. I felt as if it was a bit predatory, egging me on as if the process was well on its way. Long story short... the company I work for got talked into renting a large printer from Da-Com about a month ago. It took them 3 1/2 weeks to deliver it. They came in with a loaner for 1 week, dropped it off, the came back unannounced in a weeks time to pick it back up (after they already disconnected all of our other printers in the office) without the leased printer. We waited 3 1/2 weeks for the leased printer to arrive. Not even 2 days later we stared to have problems with the printer. I had a service tech come out, and he was very domineering. Trying to act like I had no idea what I was doing with the printer, after I told him multiple times I have used the EXACT same printer at my last job. He never even looked at the printer itself, just kept asking me if "I was sure I know what I'm doing?"!!! So after solving NOTHING, he left only to have me call again yesterday about the same issue. I received a call yesterday from the same tech, who once again was VERY rude to me. When he arrived he continued to argue with me about how I "may no know what I'm doing", I repeatedly explained to him I am familiar with this printer and Mac set up. Well, apparently he WAS NOT!!! He had to call another tech just to figure out how to get to Print Settings! I am not pleased at all with the arrogance of the service tech! I hope I never see him again.

Instead of immediately pushing a service call, Matt took the time to ask thoughtful questions, helped us identify exactly what kind of fireplace set we had, and even sent us a video walking us step-by-step through how to light our specific model. He told us to call him back if it worked so we could potentially save the cost of a service visit -- and it did! When we called back, Matt didn't stop there. He went on to give us incredibly helpful guidance on proper cleaning and ongoing maintenance, explaining things clearly and patiently. On top of that, he helped us identify the right modification for a remote start we're considering and even checked whether they had it in stock. The level of care, honesty, and expertise was outstanding. This is the kind of customer service you rarely see anymore: knowledgeable, generous with time, and genuinely focused on helping the customer -- even when it means not making a sale. I didn't want a bunch of random lights in the first place and it's not my responsibility to go out of my way to fix your mistakes . I left the lights on the front porch to be picked up. they did warranty work again last month and have called a couple times threatening to sue me for non payment but won't answer the phone or send an invoice just leave a message and evidently out of all of the employees at the company the only one that can process the payment is the one who won't answer when I call. Never in my life did I think I'd be passionately reviewing a lighting store…read more So many things become exciting when you buy a house. A new lawn mower! Hardwood floor staining! Landscaping! HVAC! SOMEBODY STOP ME! Well, lighting fixtures are right up there with things that are exciting as hell when you're designing a home. Metro Lighting came through for us, specifically Joni. I was after two things: a dining room light fixture, and a kitchen light fixture. After browsing the showroom, I found a light for the dining room that I absolutely loved, and thought would go perfect in our space. You can imagine how crushed I was when I learned it was on backorder for a long time. Joni told me she'd check with the purchasing team to see if I could have the display, and to call back the next day. I did call the next day with all of the hope in the world, but unfortunately she was given a big fat "no". I asked about another lighting fixture for the kitchen, and started to make peace with the fact that I couldn't have that amazing light for the dining room. (See the photo! It really is that good.) I got a call back a few hours later with the status of the second light fixture, as well as the BEST NEWS EVER that I was able to buy that display light! I cannot explain how much I appreciated her hard work and convincing, and can't wait to hang both lights in our newly purchased home. This truly was customer service at its best. We will absolutely be back whenever we need something else, and I look forward to another great experience.

We hired Flair Home Staging to stage our home while we were living in it during the sale process,…read moreand unfortunately, the experience was disappointing on several levels. First, the staging seemed designed solely for photographs, with little consideration for how we would actually live in the space or how the home would show during tours. For example, they removed many of our books to style the shelves for pictures, but rather than storing the books appropriately, they piled them waist-high in our walk-in closet. This rendered the closet unusable and unpresentable--hardly ideal for prospective buyers viewing the home. Additionally, one of our own original paintings was taken down and left lying sideways on the basement floor. The furniture they provided was described as light and modern, but much of it felt dated, with metal studs and a heavy, old-fashioned look that didn't accomplish the intended aesthetic. In addition, several of the pieces had a musty, mildewed odor that permeated the home. In one case, we had removed a large mirror from a living room wall that left some visible wall damage. Instead of using the existing hardware which was very sturdy - or covering the area effectively which would have been intuitive, they hung two smaller pieces of art below the damaged section. After completing their work, we were informed with only three days' notice before the open house that we would need to have the wall repaired ourselves. Several lamps were placed without lightbulbs or in locations where they couldn't be plugged in--purely decorative, but non-functional and impractical. Finally, when the staging was removed, the walls were left with numerous nail holes. Although the contract did mention potential wall damage, we were not prepared for the extent of it. Some nails were removed, but those in studs were left, and we were given no practical explanation for why they had been driven into the studs in the first place if they couldn't be properly removed. Prior to staging, our walls were in much better condition. Overall, while the staging may have served their photography needs, the lack of consideration for both our living situation and the actual showing of the home was disappointing.
