They have some good dishes, but their service is terrible. I have eaten here 4 times and this review is about the most recent. It seems like they don't understand/ listen to what customers are asking for or need. We asked for bacon to be well cooked and in a strip (not chopped) , they gave me chopped , undercooked bacon with mushy / greasy potatoes. I took it back and they said "we dont have bacon" if we made it like that we would have to cook you a piece of bacon! They have small pre bagged chips (around 20 in a bag) that are $6 w a medium salsa. If you want more chips they charge you an extra buck :( the other option for salsa is so small it would barely feed a squirrel. This spot surprised me with how good the tacos are! You know it's going to be good when you see a trompo inside spinning the taco meat. The tacos were really flavorful and a good size for the price. I got 3: Al Pastor, Gringa, and Campechana. The Gringa was featured on Triple D and they even have a cut out of Guy Fieri inside haha. Pretty alright taco place. Stopped by to grab a quick lunch because most places nearby were closed. I ordered the al pastor, as well as a gringa without cheese... which just turns out to be an al pastor with flour tortilla. My bad for not realizing that, but I would have appreciated a heads up from the cashier that I had ordered the essentially same taco twice. Anyway, I was rung up for my tacos to roughly $7 (still charged extra for the "special" gringa), and I got to devour them pretty soon after I ordered. Two stars for the pancake taco. 3.5 stars for the barbacoa. The pancake taco is cute, but there's love or character to what's being offered. The pancake is huge, with little fluff on the inside and no crisp on the outside. It's like they grabbed this from a diner and folded it to a taco. The eggs and bacon inside are sparse as if there's a war ration in effect. The syrup is standard, but nothing special. I didn't finish it since it didn't feel worth bloating myself.  The barbacoa wasn't amazing, but it was a solid, pepper beef taste that was for the most part moist. Some bits in the edge were a bit dry, but 90% of the meat here was moist. The flavor was well pronounced, never feeling greasy. The green sauce they make in house makes it even better. Fresh, bold and creamy. They load this taco up, so don't order more than one (unless two barbacoa is the only thing you order). I had an order delivered by Uber last night, please make sure to avoid that mistake first of all. I ordered the Nachos Libres Pollo Asado Nachos from OneTaco. When my food arrived it was cold. Since my partner's Tacos were warm, It wasn't the driver's fault. It was the restaurant. The chicken was hard and diced into tiny pieces. The beans were a dense dried-out hard clump. with a tiny dollop of sour cream. Now, I ask you, what is the most important part of Nachos? Yes, you're right it's the Queso. There wasn't one drop to be found. Seriously what are nachos without Queso, especially when everything on the dish was dried out and hard? Okay enough said about the Nachos. I contacted Uber and they credited $5.00 back to my account. the nachos were $11.00. which means I pretty much ate $6.00, since the food wasn't edible. When I asked why, Uber said to talk to OneTaco. so here I am. Uber does not back the food they offer as delivery, and OneTaco serves horrible Nachos. sitting here thinking........... I visited One Taco to stave off my hunger through my son's Krav Maga class down the street. I hadn't had lunch and was super hungry. The place was quiet (it was 5pm), but very clean, and it had a nice ambience. I ordered the Ranchero and a Topo Chico. Great food for the price, and super speedy. I am so happy this taco spot is so close to us on West Anderson! It's an easy, counter service eatery with pretty dang good tacos. The service that day wasn't super exuberant, but hey - our food was made and served up in a speedy way, but not so fast as if they food was pre-made. It was certainly fresh. The best part had to have been the salsa selection though! It really topped off the tacos! I got the Green + White with egg whites, avocado, and jalapeño and the Migas Taco with scrambled egg, corn tortilla chips, and pico de gallo. Both on corn tortilla, which is an option! All tacos will be served on flour unless requested otherwise. They were tasty and perfectly portioned with taco fillings. I am a big fan of tacos - and there are a lot of taco joints in Austin. It's hard to give a taco joint a five star review, but I feel that no matter what kind of restaurant you are, if you are the top dog in your genre, you deserve a five star. The first time that I went to One Taco, I ordered the Carne Asada taco and I thought it was the best flavored beef that I've had in a taco. The next time, I noticed that they have a beef taco with bacon (!) and a beef taco with chorizo. So, I ordered them and I continue to order those two tacos: Taco Gowalla and Taco Norte, every time that I go therem which is a lot. Honestly, if I was forced to eat just one taco (pun intended) for the rest of my life, it would be the Taco Gowalla. But, I'm not, so I also get the Taco Norte to mix things up. If you're looking for pork or chicken or veggie, I am told they are also very good. But, I will never know. read more

I love their classic tacos from their food trucks, but this location seems to be run by clowns. Don't bother ordering online, they will not make your food till you're in line which defeats the entire purpose. If you call them out, they will make your taco in a panic and give you something resembling 4am Taco Bell slop. Super disappointing. Absolutely delicious food. I love their salsas, both the red and green are bursting with flavor with a bit of heat but no where near over powering. Their queso is better than lots I have had around Austin and the chips served with it are better than most, thicker and crunchy. Today I had the: Original Steak Taco - comes on flour tortilla with a decent amount of tender steak. There is this yummy avocado sauce they put on it as well. Overall - a very delicious taco. Gowalla Taco - another steak taco, on a fresh corn tortilla with that tender steak. This taco also has bacon on it which is of good quality and meaty - no fat found. It's bare bones, no frills, just great tacos that are better than Torchy's. We've visited several times and find the experience to be great and consistent with a helpful and friendly staff. The food is freshly prepared, the portions are plentiful and sauces are perfect. The green and red sauces at the service counter are .... very spicy. Because we order the chips and salsa as starters, that is the salsa we mostly use for our tacos. The personal size chips and salsa are adequate for 2 or 3 people. As one of the reviewers said, go with the tacos pastor, again, perfect. BTW Yelpers, the 1 star reviews below are BS. (One being borderline racist). We typically go to our usual spots for tacos but this place was recommended by a few friends so we decided to get it delivered! I got the taco gowalla - 2 of them and they were so good. It has steak, bacon, avocado and queso fresco- i tend to go basic with my tacos as i think simple tastes best I actually usually always get breakfast tacos but they stop serving their breakfast tacos at 11am which is disappointing cuz alot of other tacos places sell them all day. Sometimes i love a good breakfast taco for dinner! But besides that, i enjoyed their tacos, would definitely order from them again! Plus they were on diners, drive ins, and dives! HORRIBLE. Stopped here before work with pregnancy cravings for miga tacos. My usual taco truck was closed so I was like " hey let's try this place! " big mistake. I am a one taco regular and when they first opened there location on anderson it was amazing, however with growth, their food quality has dropped significantly. Im not sure how Guy Fieri would feel about this taco joint now. For one, taco size has decreased!! Second, employee quality has decreased and carelessness is showing!! I had a taco this morning and opened up a salsa only to immediately start puking all my food up due to bad salsa, carelessness!!! My stomach is still hurting from that salsa. On a weekend visit to the Austin/Round Rock my family and I decided to try out a restaurant that the famous Guy Fieri has visited on his show DDD since most paces Guy has showcased do not disappoint. We dined for dinner around 6:30 pm. The place seemed pretty empty with only a couple customers. They have an open kitchen concept and I wasn't too thrilled that the cashier and the two cooks were on their cell phones with customers in full view. We order their chips and salsa, tacos and I got an order of El Pastor nachos. The salsa looked blood red, and we thought it was going to be really spicy, but it wasn't. It was really delicious and my only drawback was they give you a small sealed bag of chips instead of fresh warm chips. My nachos came out next. It was a bit irritating since we all eat together as a family and I was not going to eat until my family received their food. Once again, the cooks were moving very slow while the other staff was on their phones. It had to be nearly 5 minutes until they got their food and my nachos were already beginning to get soggy. My husband and I had lunch at One Taco on Anderson Lane yesterday to check them out. I had the Gringa, which has pork (with extras) and a bit of pineapple. It came loaded on a flour tortilla. It was super flavorful with lots of meat, and the pineapple just gave it a little kick of sweetness. It was so good I didn't add any kinda of salsa. My husband had the Carne Asada, and, even though it wasn't as big as mine, he still enjoyed it very much. Everything is fresh, and they cook it to order. Jesus is the General Manager and came over to our table to make sure we liked our food, and then had a full conversation with us. Jesus is a very nice man. Great food, friendly service! What more could you ask for? We found out there's several locations with one near us, so we'll definitely be visiting often. read more

Pésimo! This place is way overpriced for what you get. The tacos are so so and for what you pay at this serve yourself stand you can go to a restaurant with table service and get more and better food. They have 3 bottles of communal salsa but no cups. When I asked for a small cup they refused saying they were only for to go orders. Another table just took the whole pitcher of salsa to his table, understandably, leaving that salsa unavailable to other customers. Just bad service to go with bad food. read more

Honestly, I've kept forgetting to try OneTaco until I saw them on Guy Fieri's show on the Food Network. So, needless to say, when I decided to go get something quick and easy on Valentine's Day, OneTaco was a choice worth considering -- and even more so when there's no crowd. I'll hit a couple of the negatives that other Yelpers have pointed out. There's zero lemons or limes for either the iced tea or the tacos. Also, the comment about disinterested service holds true. The two ladies working tonight were so soft-spoken that you couldn't hear them and the language barrier made ordering more of a challenge. My taco was pretty good. It was a pretty standard beef fajita taco. Unlike a lot of taco purveyors in Austin, the beef is cubed rather than in strips. The beef needed a great deal more marinade to add flavor, but the excellent red salsa added both flavor and heat. I'd also note that the chips weren't the freshest in town. It's by no means bad and there's much potential here. Will definitely revisit and reevaluate. I have zero to base this on, but it reminded much less of Tex-Mex or even South Texas taqueria than anyplace I've been other than the California style taqueria Tacos y Tacos in Nevada. read more

No fuss, simple and amazing. Their homemade salsa and guacamole are perfect. You can see the al pastor cooking on the skewer.
