So I've eaten here many times in the past and tonight I was really craving Queso and chips. Ordered my two favorite tacos and then the Queso...the clerk told me they were out. It was 7:17pm when I ordered and they close at 8pm. Kinda ruined my evening dining experience, it's just kinda my thing- chips and Queso to start off and two tacos with a Dr Pepper to wash it down. When I was leaving there was another customer as mad as I was, but very verbally making it clear to the two workers. She asked for the manager and the clerk said he wasn't there and wasn't making any effort to provide a name, a business card, nothing- just felt unprofessional. No, it's NOT the end of the world, but actually admitted that he turned it off two hours before close to start cleaning for close. If you don't offer a full menu from open to close, especially when you have such a limited menu already, then just start closing at 6pm. Heading elsewhere for chips and Queso to go. read more

Yay for Taco Tuesday! We tried the gringa taco, al pastor and the original chicken taco. All were amazing and way bigger than I expected! I also had the horchata! So good. It was kinda busy when we got there even though it was kinda late (but what else can you expect on Taco Tuesday) but our food came out VERY quickly, about 3-4min mins after placing our order. In Austin TX we have so many great taco places. It's hard to stand out above the rest. I have been here a couple of times and they are pretty good. The corn tortillas are made fresh, and I think are better than Torchy's. The prices are right, and the ingredients are good. Are they amazing taco's? No, but they are good. Some are better than others. I find the steak tacos to be my favorite. The Taco Norte and Gowalla taco. This is a casual fast food dining experience. Walk to the front to order, pay, and get a number to wait for your tacos. They have some beer options, and only serve high fructose infused sodas. The inside is clean and quaint. I don't go out of my way to come here. I don't crave it. But, if I happen to be in the area and need some food it's an option. read more

I think the tacos and street corn is pretty good here. Of course, I'm a queso fan. The price is affordable and the location is quiet compared to the adjacent restaurants. The staff is helpful, the restaurant is clean, and they are never busy when I come. I like their food enough to come back but I won't be rushing. read more

I'm pretty easy to please with a couple of tacos. So I go in at 8 pm. Two shivering employees somewhat hesitantly got up, seemed frustrated, and cooked my meal as quickly as they could. It was about 55 degrees inside. They were uncomfortable, I was uncomfortable, and the next couple of patrons walked in, felt the cold vibe, and left. Apparently customers were interrupting them while doing closing time cleaning. Problem is there were still two hours left on the shift. If this place doesn't make the temperature comfortable for guests, and get employees more interested in customers, I'm afraid they will not succeed. read more

Newly opened taqueria walking distance from home, yay! We had bacon, egg, cheese and potato breakfast tacos. The bacon was thick cut, smoky and mostly nicely chewy with a few too fatty bits. The potatoes seemed to be shredded hash browns, which I liked, but my companion felt were too mushy. The quantity, price and effect were overall very similar to Torchy's tacos. Red salsa was smoky and spicy, maybe a little too much so, depending on your taste. Green salsa was pretty standard fare. They make the tortillas in house and sell them by the dozen which is handy for those who live nearby and need fresh tortillas. Decor inside is very fresh and cute. Mexican soccer jerseys line the hall to the restrooms. I'll be back to try other items on the menu! read more

Needed something to eat before going to Starbucks. Tucked away behind CVS, I wouldn't have found it if I didn't see their logo in the sign as I turned into the parking lot. Entered at about 1:30pm and it was pretty empty. Venue had 3 employees and some tvs. The hallway leading to the bathrooms had some soccer posters for teams in Mexico. I ordered 5 small steak tacos and salsa with chips. Order came pretty quickly. The tacos were a tiny bit dry, but tasted very good. I should have put some sauce on them, but they were spicy enough. You definitely get what you pay for. I'll definitely come back here if I need some quick street tacos and don't want to break the bank. read more

Quite a pleasant taco place, plenty of meat on your taco and good quality stuff. Probably my favorite place for pork tacos. Loved the corn tortillas they were making them as I entered. I used to go to another taco place that's at the end of my street. A few months ago, I tried One Taco and it's been my go-to spot ever since. Delicious and fresh tacos (try anything with El Pastor or the Machacado), three awesome salsas, friendly staff, and a fun little joint that reminds me of a small Taxi Stand lunch place in Mexico. Get an agua fresca or a beer. Sit your butt down in the janky metal chairs. When you get your basket of tacos, put some green sauces on them and get busy. Yum. read more

This place was ok. Nothing special about the tacos we got, and the service was meh. The decor is great though, and it was very clean. I tried the quesadillas, and their vegetarian taco, my boyfriend had two other tacos, one with pork and pineapple, one with beef. Probably won't be back. read more

Third time we've been to this place since it recently opened. We love it. Street tacos are legit, not trying to force anything for the sake of being different. Their other tacos are delicious as well. There are other taco spots in the neighborhood but this place, in my opinion in anyway, has surfaced as the best. When we want tacos this is now where we go. May have to revisit this review after trying other items on their menu, not to suggest they'd be any less delicious, but honestly their tacos are so dang good we haven't tried anything else. This OneTaco location is fantastic. It is a breath of fresh air from having to go to the smaller one up 183, though they are both exceptional. The staff here are always welcoming and they strive to get your food out fresh and in short order. The Gowalla taco is to DIE for. The steak is excellently seasoned and cooked with a pinch of onion and cilantro. The dish really jives with the bacon and avocado for a great smokey and savory flavor. I definitely suggest it. The Pastor taco is one of my favorite all around. The meat is tender and juicy and seasoned all the way through. They're carving it off freshly into the tacos so it never dries out or loses flavor. The pineapple slices cut through amazingly well and are quite refreshing. The crunchy fresh onions also add a bit of dimension to the way this taco is prepped. I suggest trying it out on a fresh corn tortilla! I will definitely be back. Even though their Taco Tuesday promotion draws a large crowd, it's worth the wait! read more

Great . . REALLY great food . . small place, but with about 6-7 tables and quick service. I was really impressed by the authentic food. There were people there at tables and/ or delivery. Try this place it's really worth it. In a little shopping center on W Anderson in Austin. I couldn't see it from the road because a CVS drug store next to the road totally hid it ( it being directly behind the CVS and in the shopping center stores). I'm definitely going back! read more

The al pastor was very refreshing to have because most places chopped the meat to baby biti pieces and super grease! But these were bigger chunks and just the right amount of juice, very impressed! I walked in Sunday 10.14.18 at 11:15am and there are no customers but 2 employees behind the counter- 1 man and 1 woman. They did not acknowledge my presence as I stood there patiently for 3 minutes waiting to place an order. I would hate to think they refused to wait on me because I'm white. When you look from the outside, it honestly seems decent at the least. But inside, it's a different story. The second time I went there I ordered a chorizo egg and cheese my dad ordered A bacon potato and cheese. Mine was decently bad and there was way too much egg it was depressing to look at. My dad had it worse and his taco looked like they tried to make it gross, it was raw and mushy and the meat was cut up like weird fries. He asked for another one that wasn't cut up and raw. They go "Ya Man" then gave him the exact same thing. He told them he asked for well cooked bacon, and they said "we don't have any, they are all uncut, and otherwise we would have to get a piece of bacon and cook it" that is literally what he asked for. There salsa is gross and ginormous, and they gave us a small bag of chips for 5.50$. Waste of money, and time. read more

I hate to leave a bad review but really didn't love this place. Got the steak taco which was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Hubby got the chicken taco with chipotle sauce which was almost inedible. The chipotle sauce was far too dominant. What really got me was the personal size chips and queso or salsa. We got both and chips were bland and tasteless. Queso was ok but couldn't compare with Torchys. Salsa didn't wow us either,We paid $7.70 for both orders of chips. Wouldn't have minded if they tasted good. All in all will not go back. read more

Taco Tuesdays is where it's at. On Tuesdays, if you dine in, all tacos are $2, a great bargain. Their tortillas are made fresh in the restaurant and you can see them making it. I usually get the chicken or pastor tacos which are both tasty, the meat is of good quality and flavorful. The restaurant has a chill vibe, nothing pretentious and I have never experience a long wait for my tacos. read more

I think this place is so yummy. I mean most places will sometimes put canned pineapple in their Al Pastor tacos. But this place! Oh man you can tell it's fresh pineapple. And for those of you reading this and giving it the wonky eye lol don't knock it til you try it the Al pastor is really good. This place was a last-minute divergence from the usual taco spots (tacodeli), and it was good! Corn tortillas were really great, and didn't cross contaminate with gluten. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is the price - a little higher than average for the tacos. read more
