It was the first snowstorm of the season. My salt truck blew a hydraulic hose. I called Creston…read morethey said to bring my truck In. I brought it there about 3:30. They closed at 5 pm. They stayed open later for my repair and a couple of other repairs. They finished my truck about 7pm. I understand that they stayed later and replaced the hose. But, they charged me $770 to remove the hose, make a new hose and install 2 new fittings and put new hyd oil in. I spoke to big Al their manager about the cost on Friday. He said he has to find the invoice and call me in the morning(Saturday). He didn't call me. I called Saturday afternoon and left him a voicemail. I called again on Monday, no answer. I finally got him on the phone on Tuesday. He said that the charge was justified. He said 1 hour to remove hose then make Make the hose then another hour to install. I've replaced many hoses myself. It does not take an hour to remove a hose that is out in the open and then another hour to install. A new hose with fittings is $80-$130. 10 gallons of hydraulic oil is $70-$100. Plus labor. If they would have charged me $450-$500 I would be happy. I understand that they stayed late and they repaired my truck in an emergency. But $770 to replace 1 hydraulic hose is way to much money. If you go here expect to pay thru the nose.

It was this frustration which led us to the internet and where we came across Miller Trailer Sales after searching for the specific make and model of trailer we wanted, a nüCamp T@B CS-S Boondock. Miller Trailer Sales had the exact make and model we wanted, with the graphics package we were looking for, at a price much lower than our local dealer. Additionally, Miller Trailer Sales offered options to change a graphics package and modify the microwave with a drawer kit based on our needs. This was customer service that we never thought possible when trying to buy a trailer. Even with some distance hurdles to overcome, Samuel Miller, of Miller Trailer Sales, was more than willing to walk us through the purchase. He had assured us there was no issue purchasing from out of state, in fact, he had done this with several other customers from our state. He was very pleasant to work with over the phone and through email. His father was also quite willing to perform repair work on the trailer harness, which had been incorrectly installed on our vehicle by our local dealer. Once the date of pickup was set, we traveled to Miller Trailer Sales and dropped off our vehicle for the harness work, and Samuel picked us up (even with our daughter and dog coming along for the ride) and brought us to the sales office. The transaction was incredibly smooth with no complications or high-pressure sales tactics to purchase extras. All the paperwork was ready for us to make the purchase. After that was completed, Samuel spent over three hours walking us through the trailer we purchased, taking his time to explain every facet of the new unit. Not only that, he informed us of important maintenance items we need to address with our other trailer the local dealer never informed us about. Samuel walked around the trailer and described each item in detail and answered all of our questions patiently. Once our vehicle was ready with the new harness (repaired and wired correctly), Samuel's father, Preston, brought it to the sales office and explained how the hookup would work. After explanation and hookup, we were asked one more time if we had questions. Then they gave us safe directions to get on the highway back home. Miller Trailer Sales was fantastic to deal with. They all made the experience a positive one from start to finish. You will not find a more competent, positive, and friendlier nüCamp trailer dealer in the Northeast. Their prices are unbeatable, their service is topnotch, and the people are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Miller Trailer Sales. You can try other dealers, but you'd be wasting your time and money. You simply cannot go wrong with Miller Trailer Sales.

Because I don't have another car and it's supposed to be a relatively fast installation. Today, when I showed up for my early morning appointment, I was told the installer doesn't come in until noon. No one at Uhaul bothered to call me to reschedule my appointment. The sales woman behind the desk could BARELY be bothered to look at me when I said why I was there and when I asked why I wasn't notified she looked at me like I was insane. She just assumed that I was going to sit in Uhaul for HOURS and HOURS until the installer arrived. I said that I couldn't do that as I had work and asked for a refund. As if it was the hardest thing in the world to do, she mumbled that she couldn't issue me a refund and said the manager had to issue it but she refused to get the manager. I asked if the manager was on site and eventually the other sales woman (who was also barely working)* said yes. So I went into the employees only area (the loading dock directly behind the store area) calling out for a manager. I was able to find a manager and he said that he would have to contact the general manager. I asked for her card and called her myself and when I explained the situation she said when she made the schedule I hadn't made a reservation. Since I made my reservation over a week ago it would have been nice if someone checked it and let me know that they could not fulfill my installation. Especially since they had my $300. She said she would issue me a refund when she got to a computer. I asked when that would be - this morning, today, tomorrow, and she said, "I DON'T KNOW WHEN YOUR BANK WILL ISSUE IT!" and hung up on me. That wasn't my question - I know that banks take time, I want to know when it will be INITIATED BY Uhaul. Uhaul went wrong on this in so many ways. Not checking that there were appointments made, not calling me to let me know that my appointment couldn't be fulfilled, not offering to reschedule my appointment, but the BIGGEST mistake Uhaul made was that not a single person at Uhaul apologized. No one tried to help me or even gave a damn that I drove there and took time off to be there. Unbelievable. I cannot believe how unprofessional this operation is - I would NOT recommend using them for anything. *There was only one other customer in the Uhaul at the time and she was just buying boxes. It was not crowded and no one was waiting for service.
