I've been coming to this location for a while. They have now switched owners. Wasn't sure how it was going to be. These guys are great they help me with my car I have a small problem with my gas cap. Told me how to get it fixed without charging me a dime. I like it when someone helps me get stuff done. And does not really want anything for helping you. Seem to find an awful lot of burnt-out bulbs ... Great, fast, but ... I started going here as an alternative to the Jiffy Lube across the street, primarily due to how fast they were. First time there, they noticed a light was out a replaced it for me. So I began taking my wife's care there, as well -- and they noticed a light was out and replaced it for me. And the next time I took my car in, they noticed a light was out, and replaced it for me ... I haven't been back since then. I've failed inspections at other places before, but never for a "light being out," and not since ... If you don't mind the $10+ premium for "replacing" burnt-out bulbs, they're great. The frequency of replacing lights just became a little too suspect for me. read more

Last time I'll go here after my experience today. I have had my car inspected here for several years, but they have changed owners AND practices. After seeing a man turn down a quote of $8 to have a brake light changed, I was told that I had a brake light and parking light out and it would be $10 each to fix them. I asked why I was quoted $2 more per light and they quickly backed up to the $8 ea. they had quoted the gentleman ahead of me. I don't appreciate being quoted more than a man and, after looking at other reviews, I question if the lights needed changing at all. I'll go elsewhere for my inspections in the future (and I'll check all my lights ahead of time). read more

Although these guys are fast be advised...NOT ONE PERSON AT FRONT DESK HAD A MASK ON!!! They did have a piece of plastic sheeting up that covered 75% of check-in. This is unacceptable with the Covid! Was pretty disappointed as I've been coming here for years and probably won't come back to this place. read more

Just left there and my car was inspected quickly and no hidden costs. The staff was efficient and quick and that's all I can ask.

I've taken my car here at least twice. Both times it failed on a defective license bulb. Not the biggest problem in the world of maintenance but they charged me $8 to screw it in. If you get your car tested here, I would recommend checking your bulbs first and if they say they need to be replaced, buy the bulb from them but screw it in yourself. read more

Extremely fast and simple inspection! What more could you want? I called ahead to check on the wait time at 11:45. They said 20 minute wait. I arrived right at 12:00, checked in and sat down. I was actually Out The Door in twenty minutes! From what I see, they have this down to a science, in-and-out. I have two cars and had both of them done this morning, in two trips, by 11:30 this morning. I got there for the first one at 10:00 AM. I see on this site where people have complained about the break and light bulbs. I have an 1985 300ZX, which did have a bad break light. It was rusted to the bulb housing. I know all about replacing these things because I replaced a couple burnt out bulbs on this car myself just a couple of months ago, but I did not see the bad break light. They fixed my bulb in about 20 minutes and did not charge me any labor for having to get the bulb out of the rusted housing ( No Easy Task ). They could have piled it on, but didn't. They also informed me that my 85 Z was an antique, and If I go to the DMV and get a special tag, I will not need to have the car inspected again, Ever. Didn't have to do that. Had an emergency. Realized while traveling that my car registration was overdue. I was in Pineville and had an important meeting at 11am. It was 9:30. I stopped in to a NTB and a Midas and both their inspectors were not working. A nice guy at the NTB referred me to Mr Inspection. I pulled in and it looked like a small little repair shop. I was concerned. I went to the counter and saw 6 people waiting and thought, omg this is going to take 2 hours. The woman at the counter was very friendly and efficient in handling the customers. 20 mins later she called my name. My car was done. I was very impressed. A very easy friendly check-out and I was on my way. Hopefully I wont forget to renew my registration going forward, but if I do and in Pineville, I'll stop in at Mr Inspection. read more

Have come to this place for over 25 years service has been great. It was good the other day until the mechanic took bulbs off claimed they weren't working. I had hoped he wasn't trying to make extra money since I knew they worked they night before. Which I told him I agreed to have them replaced. He came back and said the new bulbs didn't work either. I said must be the electrinic cable that controls trunk that was being replaced that night. He said I will pass you anyway which I appreciated and told him so. My husband replaced cable and asked for the light bulbs. Seems mechanic didn't put them back. I bought new ones and they worked. I went back the next day and asked for my lightbulbs to have them as spares. He proceeded to argues that they were physically broken, which they weren't. This mechanic was rude, belligerent, demeaning, I raised my voice as he started yelling at me once his theory wasn't working. Bottom line is he forgot to put them back in and I called him out on it. The bulb wasn't the problem it was the connection which was repaired a few hours later. I bought new bulbs and they worked. Lol he threatened to have me removed from the premises. Because he was wrong and didn't want to hear my argument? It wasn't even the price of the new but the way he treated a female customer. Then to tell me he passed my car when he shouldn't have. Appreciative of what he did but that was his choice. There was no reason to be treated like a second class human. The best part .... my husband being an electrical engineer and me an IT person apparently doesn't know what a mechanic knows about light bulbs according to him . I didn't wait too long but when It got in for service and inspection, they had to fix some other stuff before they passed it, they repaired it but I wasn't impressed with the repair cost, I am sure it would be a lot cheaper if I went some place else but when they get you in a hurry............. read more

I Questioned them on replacement requirement of wiper blades and they told the employee in very loud voice to " Back the car out of here - we will not be accused of Liars and Thieves " I never said that but questioned the wiper blade replacement requirement and quite calmly. the place looks really nice now but I think maybe a little rotten on inside. To jump off the handle when questioned about an upcharge is not a very good practice. I have been going there for over 10 years but no longer. read more

Horrible customer service! The lady working at the front is very abrasive. She was not only rude to me, but the man in ahead of me as well. The tech informed me that I had a break light out and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I had just been to my mechanic the day prior and had paid to have the bulb replaced, didnt want to pay for it twice, so I told him I wanted to go back to my mechanic. The tech asked if I wanted him to fail my inspection. I said no, I would get it fixed, then come back. He failed it anyway then I had to pay before I could get my keys back. This is not my favorite place to get my car inspected. It is certainly not that clean, the employees are not friendly but the inspection only took 15 minutes and I passed. They tried to sell my some fluids and light bulbs, etc. I had some fluids in my back seat and asked them to help me and they refused. Probably wont be back. read more

Just Inspections has been the only place I've gotten my car is inspected over the last five years. Each time I am in and out of there within 20 minutes. Located on South Boulevard just across from the Huntley Marine shop they have a pretty convenient location to 485. If you ever have a lightbulb out or need your wipers replaced in order to pass the inspection they will do it for you for a reasonable charge. The waiting area is rather small but like I said you won't be in there for very long. read more

I have been taking all my vehicles to Mr. Inspection for the past 12 years or so. They have always been good about it, but I believe since the ownership change something has gone awry. As it happens my car and my wife's car inspection are both due at the same time. She took hers and was told that a license plate light was out, and they would change it for $10. She called me to ask about it and I said well, have it done. I took my car the next day, and guess what? My license plate bulb seems to have been burned out too. Not thinking too much of it, I said sure have it done for the $10. A week goes by and I take both cars to the dealer for service, and guess what they found on my wife's car? Both license plate bulbs are burned out... I don't discount the probability that they went out in a week, but at the same time I don't believe in coincidences either. I will NOT be going back to this place that is for sure. read more

Total dishonest scam! DO NOT GO THERE! My car is perfect and I keep it in pristine legal condition, and they failed it due to the rear tint being too dark.....but it's the same exact tinit as the sides (which they said were ok and passed) I even have receipt proof!!! This car has passed with the EXACT SAME TINT when I first got my car registered here 2 years ago! Just passed at another inspection place! I hate thieves. Of course they wanted me to rip off the rear tint, then pay more cash and they'd pass it! How convenient that there is a tint place 2 doors down that they refer to! read more

This place will no longer get my business the front desk lady is very rude. She was saying smart things to everyone in the waiting room when a customer went out to her car to get her information. She's not friendly or very willing to help. The place is very small and dirty. No longer using this place for my inspection and they should hire someone else with a more pleasant personality rather than her worrying about reading her book the whole time. read more
