We were seated immediately, although separately, which was not a problem. However, both of our manicures were extremely rushed. My sister was done within 30 minutes, which was because her nail tech did not remove the old dip mani and simply put the new one on top. I'll let her write a review to tell that story... My nail tech was Lina. From the beginning, we were not on the same page with what I wanted. I am from the area but live in a different state, and I get my nail done every month using dip applied with a brush. Lina didn't believe that I had dip on my nails, but I assured her it was dip and not gel. Then she said they don't offer dip applied with brush at Amy's (this wasn't true, because half an hour later, the woman next to me was getting dip allied with brush). We agreed to just do regular dip because I didn't want to spend any more time explaining the brush situation. Lina rushed through the manicure. She was done in 45 minutes. The shape is actually fine, which is surprising, but she made one of my fingers bleed due to roughly buffing the nail at the end, and she also over drilled my nails to remove the previous manicure. She blamed one of the over-drilling situations on my previous manicurist (not possible due to the placement of the issue - it would've been the very base of my nails, practically under my cuticle during the previous manicure) but fessed up to causing the second one. I've probably had 50+ manicures in my life so far and this has never, ever happened before. This is either my second or third time coming to Amy's, and each time, I have said "never again." But I really won't be back after this.

After arriving for an appointment, the salon was nearly empty, two technicians very abruptly said "take color now". They hovered while me and my little one took a couple of minutes deciding which colors we wanted in what was the quickest decision ever made by someone under eight at lunchtime. With the same frustration and hurrying, one technician directed my little one to go off with them where we could not see each other. Both women were clearly annoyed when my daughter ducked behind me while I need time to pick a color audibly huffing and curt. In hindsight, this is was the point I should have turned and left, But then I would not be warning you about this place. When we sat at the table, the person working on my child said to me, "she won't let me cut". Yes, the six year old spoke up and didn't want her nails clipped. Filing little nails is complete reasonable and a decision which makes perfect if it makes the customer comfortable. Best part of a manicure is getting her nails filed. Add to the fact, clipping was not needed. This woman was very surprised a child had the ability to speak up for herself. The person working on me proceeded to "clip a hangnail" and cut off a large amount of skin from on two fingers. It took weeks for the pain to go away. When I pulled my hand back from the pain, she cleared huffed again after hurting me and making the side of my finger it was cut so low. This was the end of the worst manicure ever. This women did my nails and not even 2 days later all of them had a top coat or the glue film coming off of it and one was cracked down the middle. I went back a week later due to distance after calling and complaining and she did my nails again for free, This time she even put a gel coat over the powder because she was unable to do the powder regularly for some reason. . This time not even a day later all of my nails were cracked, falling off and yet again had the tops coat coming off in bubbles. I called this nail salon and said that I was unhappy with the work and feel that the money and tip that was paid for this is unfair to me and I wanted it back. The women stated that she did it for free and would not give me a refund. Today I learned they even have AI assisted UV lamps, which is a game changer for those who want to protect the skin around their nails from harmful UV rays. What really makes this salon different is their attention to detail and genuine care for the health of your natural nails. I get SNS powder, and unlike most salons that aggressively drill it off, they only use a drill to remove the top layer, then switch to a hand file to gently remove the rest, keeping your nails strong and healthy. I've requested this at other salons, but have been told it "takes too long". Here, they use high-quality products and never skimp. Even better, Karman is patient, thoughtful, and just as invested in getting the shape and color perfect as if she were doing her own nails.
