Went into ono hawaiian in Turlock ca today to have lunch then was going to make my large catering order I do every year for Xmas for the last 8 yrs but today I decided not to do it because of the customer service we received from Amy Ann Ruiz and another female employee. After making our order, she told us 15 mins. No problem!!! Had a seat and we kept hearing numbers way above ours then they stated going backwards down then back up. It's now 21 mins later so my husband went up to ask and she told my husband lemon pepper chicken takes longer. Only thing is, our food was already sitting up on counter before my husband even went up to ask. I saw the food there and that's what she grabbed to give my husband. Then after we were done eating , my husband went up to ask for a bag to put our food in an Amy Ann tells another female employee ' can you help him because he a problem '. I noticed both them stared at my husband as he walked back to my table. That's when we decided to leave and not do our large Xmas catering order as we always do. I walked back to the door to open it when they both looked at me so I stared them down as I walked away. I have never had that issue with anyone in that resturant. The manager Rhianna was absolutely rude. My girlfriend is seriously disabled and obviously has a cane and very hard time walking/standing. The manager came out and yelled across the room for her to leave in front of everyone. I tried to explain that she has a disability and she cut me off and said "she should sit in the car then!!!". This review is two part so please read all of it 1st part is all about the service and a employee named Sean. While I was ordering my food he only paid half attention to what was being said. We also order drinks and weren't allowed to have them while we waited outside mind you. Then he was very confrontational with this woman about her holding her mask out from her face which was still covered. If people can wear a face shield then holding out the mask is also sufficient. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, not to mention especially patient with our orders. The food was pretty good but perhaps nothing special. I had the noodle soup combo which consisted of mushy noodles with broth and boiled veggies (cabbage, napa, carrots and a small scoop of edamame). The boyfriend had the two item combo with the spicy chicken and kalua pork. I loved the salad and salad dressing from his combo- it was really fresh and tasty. The chicken was pretty spicy and I assume he liked the kalua (because I didn't get any). Overall, 4/5 stars. read more

This is a really good rest and stretch your legs stop when driving Fresno to Sacramento. Turlock has really been growing the past few years but my favorite eatery is still Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Cashiers definitely show the Aloha spirit and make you feel like Kamaina. I tend to prefer the Hawaiian Beef plaster, but the chicken Katsu and Mahi Mahi are equally "Ono". Parking is really problematic, so just park in the Target parking lot and walk a few feet to the front door. I recommend you by 2 plate lunches, one to eat there and one to take home. Prices are not bad, $10 for BBQ beef plate lunch plus a drink. Servings are generous so you will probably have left overs. read more

She was mostly standing around and talking, laughing, and flirting to other employees in the kitchen while the day was busy. My wife was creeped out when all of the guy employees in the kitchen gather around, stop their work and just stared at her. They tend to do that with every attractive female customers. The restroom are a mess. Toilet papers everywhere on the floor, the seats were dirty and the smell was horrific.
