Always love coming by for quick eats to leave town on the road, I only do take out. I usually ask for a utensil even if the recipe or they already mentioned it's in there. Never had no issues, till today I came in and the receipt said no utensils or condiments, so I kindly asked for a fork it was a young girl with curly hair. Our local Hawaiian BBQ in Patterson. We were super glad when this place opened up in town since a change up from McDonald's was nice. Small shop with super friendly employees. Fast and always fresh and tasty. The portions that they offer are huge and great for the price. I just have a couple complaints. Not a fan that they leave the skin on the chicken, And the sauce they use for the teriyaki is super watered down. When we received our order it was cool until I noticed the chicken was way too Burt on most of the chicken. Still ate it everything was okay but I think it could be a better. I must say, every time I go to this place to get my Kahlua pork. It doesn't disappoint. Fantastic! The portions are large and the cabbage and pork is delicious! L&L Hawaiian BBQ in Patterson, CA is good for travelers in that it has good food, clean restrooms and is not terribly crowded off peak times. It is a little bit away off the highway so you are eating amongst Patterson locals. It is located in a small strip mall behind the Walmart Center. It is a light and bright restaurant with casual seating with a tv running in the background. Unlike most restaurants and L&Ls it charges for refills on soft drinks. Not a big deal but feels a little odd. Not sure if it is a Patterson thing or just this place. They do give a 5% discount to students with ID Monday thru Friday. Onto the food. Plate Lunches were fresh and enjoyable. The Mac salad tasted like it was just made for us. So creamy. The meat had some grizzle but overall good. Good portions. Oh and those eggs! Perfection. Prices are different than online advertised menu. I spent $12.99 on chicken katsu plate and $3.29 on 1 spam masubi when the menu pdf said it was $10.99 and $2.59. I don't think it's fair to have this menu version attached and then not have the same prices in store. Also they had a yelp deal that allowed you to check in for a free drink, but the cashier said they don't do that anymore... but they allowed me to use this deal a few weeks ago so? Just don't appreciate the inconsistency. Food is good though. read more

Ordered online. Got an email and text saying the food would be done within 15 minutes. Arrived there within 15 minutes and my food was ready to go. I was very pleased. The guy working the front was top notch. The lady in front of me had a huge order. The guy reviewed the order on the receipt with her to make sure it was all correct. He then looked through all the food boxes to double check as well. A line started to accumulate behind me. He called someone from the kitchen to help out. The new guy took care of me promptly. Stellar customer service. The food was excellent -- best meal in Patterson I've had in the last 2 weeks I was here. I got the BBQ mix plate (comes w/ 2 scoops of white rice, 1 scoop of mac salad, bbq short ribs, bbq beef, and bbq chicken - all over a bed of shredded raw cabbage). Everything was as delicious and familiar as one could expect from an established Hawaiian BBQ chain. The short ribs had a sweet soy marinade with meat that peeled off the bone. The bbq beef had a similar but elevated flavor as the thinly sliced meat could soak up more of the sauce. The bbq chicken was juicy and tender, but the flavor wasn't all there. The mac salad was your typical Hawaiian mac salad -- not the star of the show, but the background dancer creamy side dish to balance out the all the meaty goodness. And don't sleep on that cabbage. It soaked up all the meat juices and softened to a tender crunch from the residual heat. Overall, great food, great customer service -- will return next time I'm in Patterson. read more
