My daughter and I love Hawaiian food especially musubi.I got the seafood mix plate with Crispy Shrimp, Island White Fish and BBQ Chicken.Also with a side of macaroni salad and white rice. We also got the musubi appetizer. Which is a block of rice topped with a dash of Teriyaki sauce and a slice of Spam, wrapped in seaweed. If you like sushi you have to try it. They also sell Hawaiian Sun juice that comes in a can. Awww it brought us back to Hawaii. My 3 year old said what a beautiful Hawaiian restaurant and she said she missed Hawaii. Crazy how music and some nice art take a child back and remind them of the beautiful place of Hawaii. Everything tasted wonderful. The food was nice and hot. The fish was flavorful, the shrimp was juicy and the chicken was amazing. The customer service was awesome. I had some coupons and the one I was going to use was for $5 off of $20 and the lady who helped us told us if we have the chicken coupon we would actually save $7. SCORE! Nice! The food is a bit less then mediocre, but what makes the experience here as well as any other business is the service provided by the staff. In this case the staff at the registers are condescending, mean, have ZERO customer service skills, act like they're too good to be working here and treat customers like scum. Maybe if the owner/ manager of this business ever sees this will pay closer attention and find people that do want to be employed here and redirects these two to the unemployment office line. Always great food at this Ono Hawaiian BBQ... Sometimes the service is a bit slow during dinner hours but that's because food is cooked up for you fresh so I expect that!... I like the cabbage but found out you can swap it out for another side of Mac or rice at no additional cost so my son does that... Love the "Katsu Chicken Salad" and it feels like I have the best of both worlds since it's a bit more healthy and I still get my favorite item! :) read more

Staff could definitely use a training class on customer service. The two workers in the front seemed miserable and clearly don't enjoy working there. Major turn off, especially because it was my first (and last) at this place, I tried asking for suggestions but both workers just smirked and stared. One star for the staff that was very nice. Food was horrible! The Katsu chicken had veins in every piece it was totally disgusting. The manager was extremely rude to my mother and I. As for COVID-19 rules, only 10 customers are allowed inside while there were definitely more than 15 people. For some reason of all the people we were the only two pin pointed and asked to go outside while none of the other customers were forced to go. The spam musubi is salty, porky goodness. The mix salad is shredded lettuce, edamame, ginger soy dressing, and your choice of meat. These two make a deliciously light meal. BBQ meats are amazing and always perfectly executed. Not too rare but always tender and flavorful. My experience here was not bad but not great. The guy Jesse that took my food order over the phone was very professional and concise on how the ordering process takes place and once getting there my food was hot and ready for me. However the one reason why I docked a star is because when I came to pick up my food it was hard to hear Jesse since the folks in the back were extremely loud and yelling profanities. No Ono's sauce unless you ask for it. So ask for it if your food is missing an extra kick. I asked for the Teriyaki sauce for my BBQ beef. To me, the BBQ Chicken is significantly better than the BBQ beef here. The chicken is moist and the skin is browned just right. read more

We stopped by on our way to another restaurant. We had never seen this place. It was busy and a sign in the front window said they have been in business for over 15yrs and the place was busy. I can never go wrong with Ono! Definitely one of my fave hawaiian bbq chains. My friend and I stopped bu this location to grab some dinner after a long day of driving. My friend got the island fire chicken mini plate and crab ragus. I got the chicken combo plate and the spam musubis. Both were delicious! Great portions! Really really disappointed today. First of all I have lost 58 lbs and so I havent been here in several months. I was craving the food as usually its awesome. Today I ordered the Katsu and Bbq chicken Combo #44 . Usually you get quite a bit of chicken and beef . but today the beef was burnt and in nothing but crisp crumbs. a boat load of cabbage and 1 piece of broccoli. the Bbq chicken was 1 small piece like a chicken wing size. Love this place! Their BBQ chicken and Chicken Katsu are the best! And the fact that they have delicious teriyaki sauce to smother all over the chicken, is a definite bonus. Way better than L&L or Ohana, can't even compare those. I just wish they didn't have pesty customers that hang all over the counter waiting for their food and then proceed to touch another customer's food when their number was called. Yeah , it happened to me and it grossed me out. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, they made a mistake on my order (I'm allergic to sesame seeds and they put it on the salad,when I ordered it without) and it took about 5 minutes longer to get me food. Yummy! I haven't had many Hawaiian places but this is always good. I have been here about half a dozen times and every time I go everyone is nice, knowledgeable and fast. I have tried their bowls and their plates. There's always a good amount of food and everything is cooked well, every time. If you don't know what to try, get their BBQ Chicken mini meal it is so filling and a go-to of mine. Not to mention their macaroni salad is mouth watering. I think if you want to try something new it's such a good place. The only con is the parking isn't ideal whatsoever. I'd say to park outside of their parking lot, it's a little walk but saves a lot of trouble when it's busy. read more

Service is a hit and miss here. A good majority of the staff are young "kids" with lack luster service. Just take your order and call out your number. They talk polite and all it is just the body language and facial expressions of I'm just here for a paycheck.
