    5 Piece Jumbo Shrimp Shumai
    Abigail C.

Ono Korean BBQ is easily a new favorite of mine! I got to try the spicy pork bulgogi lunch box and I was super impressed. This dish comes with a variety of sides including soup, salad, rice, and more. Everything was great and the pork bulgogi was well done and had a smoky flavor. We also had the jumbo shrimp shumai as an appetizer. It comes out nice and hot, the filling is yummy and the exterior is the perfect amount of crunchy. This place easily provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. The employee here brought out food to our table very quickly, always checked on how we were doing, and went above and beyond in every way possible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is cozy and casual, but overall I really enjoyed dining here and I cannot wait to come back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken katsu ... I was surprised when I I got my food because the guy across from me got the same thing and it look delicious. The chicken that I received was still discolored inside and look like it came from a freezer like Tyson or some brand like that. I was disappointed with that for the price I paid. Also my meal came with sautéed spinach and it was cold like they just took it out of the fridge. I had super high hopes for this place but came out disappointed.

Kal Kalbi Lunch Box. Ate half of it before the picture because it tasted so good

Affordable food that tastes great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the perfect place for a quick, clean lunch[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The owner is lovely -- very kind & generous woman. I chose the garlic chicken entree which comes with four sides, but she gave me a salad and japchae to try as well which were both great. I loved the soy potatoes and the kimchi the most. Their kimchi tasted very unique to me in the best way, it was a mild spice and had more of a garlic flavor to it which I really enjoyed. The chicken was crispy, garlicky, and delicious, I ate my whole plate. I will definitely be back again for this dish.

If you're looking for good size portions of authentic Korean food, this is the place. Found this place on accident, but it was a very happy one. They're platters are full to the brim with a different sides, meat and rice. It's honestly everything you can ask for in a meal. The service was absolutely wonderful, the woman at the register was telling us about which items were the best sellers, and how they were made. She also gave us recommendations on what drinks we should get along side our platters. Out of everything we tried the win for the night was definitely the spicy garlic chicken. Definitely a place I would want to come back to. The only downside is the seating wasn't super great and even if you were eating and you got takeout containers.

We tried them for delivery, everything was delicious! Veggie Bibimbap, chicken katsu, SO excited they offer both brown and black rice - black is our fav though$3 up-charge is a bit much, when an entire bag of black rice at Whole Foods is only $7 and definitely much cheaper at restaurant supply. Kimchi and all of the sides we tried were so good; braised potatoes, Japchae and especially loved the pickled Daikon which paired well with the fried chicken as it cuts the fat. Our only negatives - the high up-charge for brown or black rice, as well it's a $1.50 for a tiny side of sauce. Also, they packaged the nice crispy chicken katsu on-top of the hot, steamy rice so it was no longer crispy katsu.. please wrap it in foil or pack separate so you can enjoy that crispy chicken in take out. Can't wait to try some other dishes! Give them a try!

Obsessed. Oh how I wish this place was closer to Morristown. Can you guys have a second location? This place is heaven for me - all of my favorite foods. Ramen, rice cakes, bubble tea, kimchi, sushi/poke, dumplings. Delicious Asian comfort foods. I was in the area and I stopped in for lunch. I had the ra-bokki (ramen and rice cakes). Omg. Perfect sweet and spicy balance. Perfect chew on the rice cakes. Great portion where I was able to take a little home (love Korean left overs!). This place is amazing. More for take out, but they do have a decent amount of tables. Person who was working at the counter was very nice! Thank you for your delicious food!!!

I ordered via Uber Eats and expected a subpar poke bowl, as I haven't found anything decent in the area. Ono Korean BBQ exceeded my expectations. Everything is extremely fresh, their serving is more than enough for two people, and delicious. 10/10 recommend

Staff were super attentive and accommodating - we appreciate the great service on a holiday! Ambiance felt modern and more futuristic - black, sleek counters and tables with K-Pop playing on all the TVs. Food was easy to order with the iPad and came out within a reasonable amount of time post ordering. Food selection was solid - we ended up just getting the hotpot option so we shared all the dishes that came out and put them in our individual pots. Flavors were solid and quality was fine. It was a typical AYCE experience so we left full, but we had a good time. Thanks, KPOT!

I love Ramen so of course I had to try ramen noodles in the Szechuan Spicy hot pot with garlic cloves. We used the grill to cook our onions, peppers and more garlic cloves with garlic shrimp, beef bulgogi, short ribs, steak and I tried the beef tongue. I couldn't remember how my grandmother made it but putting it directly on the grill wasn't it... lol! I will try again after looking up a few recipes! The staff there is awesome and very helpful. I went with a friend who K-Pots frequently so she was mainly fixing ours and showing me the ropes and adding my choices on request; basically showing me what and how to prepare. We chose the dinner option during lunch hours to get premium meats. Our server was always coming to make sure we were ok and I wish I could remember her name now. So sorry! I have to say I enjoyed the entire experience; ambience of the lighting, music, table setup, staff, and there was an anime event they were preparing for! It is definitely an experience to be had and I will be going back real soon!

I've come here a few times over the years, and I have repeatedly had problems. I typically ask for the meat on the side, and there's about a 50/50 chance it comes on top. They also messed up my order several times, and there's a chance they refuse to replace it (even if the receipt item doesn't match with what they gave me). I do not blame the cashiers or workers for this because I've ordered with several of them and had the exact same issues. This is a management-level problem. Most recently, they charged me for something I didn't order and said they were unable to do a partial refund. I told them that I didn't order the item and didn't want it, and they told me that a refund wasn't possible, so they gave me the item and a bonus soda. I appreciate the attempt to make up for it, but it just isn't enough. Why am I forced to buy something I didn't want? It also didn't even taste good. I can understand making a mistake every once in a while, but this is excessive. I won't be coming back to eat here again, and I can't recommend this place to anyone.

The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Only complaint about the setting is that every time someone went in or out, a rush of cold air would enter. Try not to sit too close to the door. As far as the food, daughter and I just ordered soon dubu (soft tofu stew) and ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes). We're Korean so flavor profile wise, it seemed to cater to non Korean palates. The soon dubu was not spicy and had too much of a sesame oil flavor and the ddukbokki was sweet with no spiciness at all. I think if you are non Korean, the seasoning was good and the food flavorful, just not the flavors we were expecting. Also, although the menu makes it seem like you have to pay for the banchan (appetizers), we did not, it came with the staple kimchee, and a couple other dishes. Not sure why they had prices on the menu unless they charge for refills? They also gave us this yummy ice cream bite for dessert which is usually unheard of in Korean restaurants. Having said all this, I do want to recommend this place, it was a nice local restaurant to get some Asian dishes with a great waitstaff.

Service was prompt-- we were seated almost immediately once our whole group was gathered, and immediately began to be served. Meats came out fast. They have a 3 meat at a time limit here, but given that they're doing most of the cooking for you, it helps keep things fresh and things are coming off the grill pretty quickly anyways, so the limit does not really come at the cost of velocity of consumption (if you're that kind of AYCE eater). Service here is pretty proactive, coming by regularly and taking orders promptly. We got a mix of meats and sides throughout. Pork belly is a winner, both slabs and slices. Beef intestines were not as we remembered from other locations, but nonetheless good. Sliced beef brisket and jowl are also good cuts for folks looking for something new. Not too much of a fan of marinated meets, but I'm sure they'd live up to the same level of quality too. One huge plus about this particular chain (for which you do pay a bit of a premium in the price) is that they have pretty amazingly efficient grills and vents, such that you can largely avoid smelling like your AYCE KBBQ afterwards. Pretty uncommon, and totally forgivable when it happens, but a nice plus for this place!
